Beasts of Burdin Omnibus Volume 1: Southern Demon Hunter Novels

by Alexander Nader

All three Beasts of Burdin novels together for the first time—nearly 700 pages of punches, drinks, witty one liners, misses, and that one time Ty Burdin got a win. An urban fantasy perfect for fans of Sandman Slim and The Dresden Files.

Ty Burdin wants to stay retired; too bad the demons, and his boss, won’t let him.

The Burdin name represents a long line of the world’s greatest demon hunters, a mantle Ty has no problem leaving behind. Too many demons, too much innocent blood on his hands, Ty tried to walk away from hunting, but the corporate machinations of the Agency aren’t so quick to leave their star killer in the rear view.

Starting a year after his retirement (Beasts of Burdin) through his return to part-time, on-call, please leave me alone demon hunter (Burdin’s End), Beasts of Burdin; Omnibus Volume 1 is an urban fantasy that defies all logic.

But, then, Ty is a demon hunter that defies all orders.

Beasts of Burdin; Omnibus Volume 1 contains the first three full length novels and two exclusive short stories in the Beasts of Burdin Demon Gotta Go, Burdin of Choice, Burdin’s End, Opportunity by the Pound (Short Story), and Float (Short Story).

About the author

Writes novels about the dark things floating around in his head because the demons won’t let him sleep otherwise. Jokes are his weapon of choice, but will resort to deflection in times of emergency. Did you know Maine is closer to Africa than any other state?

I give the series an overall 3 stars and that's high but it's because I like most everything about the series but the protagonist - Ty is unlikeable and so is Nora...they are the two worst characters in the series - for me...because they are unrelentingly dimensionless and not too bright compared to the rest...I won't mention specific issues so as not to spoil it for anyone but the clueless nature of these two is mind-numbing. I hope book 4 is better...

Actual star rating book 1 3.0, book 2 3.5, book 3 4.0.

Taking credit for the first of the 3 books in this omnibus. The other two are available separately. Fun mashup of demon hunter and hard-boiled detective. Worth trying.

I really enjoyed this book. It was recommended by the author of 24/7 demon mart and I'm delighted that I found this series! Starting Burdin of Choice now. I strongly recommend it, fun read 😉
