Great book on the subject matter that had to be written. Clear, concise with actionable frameworks and processes for AI readiness and AI initiative success. Excellent intro and further details on the subject

This is an easy to read excellent guide for managers and business leaders about the exciting field of AI.
Dr. Ganesan writes in a nice conversational tone and gives a structured step by step experience of this field. She gives real implementation examples such as Visa and GAIL etc. There are multiple references to what is and what is not AI - this distinction is essential as there is a lot of hype in the media. Her experience as a practitioner helps her articulate client requests and solutions.
Readers can get a lot of benefit by following the Quick/Action Tips and the action oriented lists. There are detailed examples such as the Google story. Also the domain based AI opportunities in Part 2 will be very helpful to get a high level view of what is possible. The advice for the company culture and mindset to be AI centric is very valid as it is not only technology but the attitude of every employee that makes AI implementations successful.
It might be tempting to jump to Chapter 9 but I urge readers to take the time to read the pervious and following chapters as it may get the mental framework well adjusted to this field of AI. It is very interesting and encouraging to read several instances from the author's experience where she advised not doing "AI" because not every problem needs AI. Managers should also understand why they need AI and if it is the right approach to their needs. Chapter 11 has excellent checklists and decision trees to help in this process. Chapter 14 is very important as it defines how to measure the success of an AI implementation. Beyond the glamour there are defined metrics that truly prove how the project went.
Bottomline : I would strongly encourage people to read it wherever they may be on the AI timeline. For beginners it outlines clearly what they are getting into and for those already on the implementation path many pointers and tips they can possibly include in their processes to end up with a great implementation.

If you've already established AI in your company, by reading this book, you'll learn the common pitfalls that organizations face and how those can be tackled. If your organization is new to AI, you'll learn how a company can systematically plan its AI journey and how to be accountable for its success throughout that journey.
Throughout the book, you will find several real-world examples that evolved around use cases of implementing AI. In addition, the author also shares stories from her experience of being an AI advisor and consultant. What truly intrigued me was some of the worked-out examples using fictional scenarios which improved my understanding of the concepts introduced. For example, the measuring of AI success from a business standpoint was easy to understand because of the worked-out example.

AI is a subject that is changing the face of manufacturing and consumer products alike. Dr. Kavita Ganesan steps through the applications, evaluation criteria and best practices for implementation of AI all in one novel. Ganesan's writing style can be followed by both industry insiders and new learners. The build versus buy decision is so personal to most companies, however, Chapter 13 gives the bare basics necessary to consider such an involved decision. Part 5 felt a bit rushed but possibly because Parts 1-4 were so interesting to this reader. The Business Case for AI.
This was incredibly boring. Although it describes being for all businesses big and small, the costs she explained make it for big business only. You ONLY need a team to gather the information, a team to decide what information to gather, a team to analyze the data, and a team to implement decisions based upon the data. Mom and pop shops cannot afford the time or manpower to even begin to implement AI. Let alone deciding on what system(s) to use in the first place. Also, I felt like this book ignored most of the issues with technology and the risks that come with it. Basically the example of something going wrong ended with shutting down the program. All the work is gone and the resources that went into it. And very, very boring.

Without getting into technicalities, she provides the know-how that every manager today needs to make the most of the opportunities offered by Al.
I gained numerous very interesting insights for my profession thanks to the many concrete examples of Al application in the book.
English is understandable even for those who do not have a perfect mastery of the language.

I had a chance to read advanced reader copy of the book and really satisfied with my choice. The book has a good path to help understanding AI, looking into opportunities of implementing AI in your own company, owing a strategy and working on other opportunities with AI as well as how to bring your ideas with AI to life. There are plenty of interesting examples on how Artificial intelligence is used in different industries where we are not aware and think that the service is human-delivered. Overall this book is useful for general understanding of AI landscape and trends .

It's easy to read, concise and clear about AI reading book. Fascinating and well explained the difference between AI (overall) and Machine Learning, Deep learning, Computer vision, Robotic, NLP; the most valuable that I learned and absorbed are the processing and evaluation (at least need to be a continual improvement) during developing, testing and go-live.
This book provides broaden and expertise in AI industry and well organization to support reading in a comfortable way, not focus on tech and always have the impression in each chapter.

A highly insightful and useful read
I found this book incredibly insightful and useful, especially as a non-technical leader. It should be a required read for anyone in the C-suite as it lays out a practical approach to develop your business’s AI strategy. I have reviewed a number of resources on the topic and this is the best that I’ve come across. Highly recommend that you read it!

A good, high level introduction about how management can evaluate where artificial intelligence (AI) can help, and it them provides some prescriptive tools to use in order to run AI projects. It has the bent of a consultant, so leans strongly towards build instead of buy, but the concepts are good to understand regardless of the business decision.

maybe i'm too technical for this book. i would say it has good structure and easy reading however there isn't any surprising information in it. It's a comprehensive book about daily conversation topics around AI.

The Business Case for AI is a pretty good look at a number of use cases for artificial intelligence (AI), particularly if you're not all that familiar with what AI can do in your business. That said, if you're already following AI there's not really any news in here. It's informative and useful, but most for noobs.

I think this book is very well written and thought out. There is a lot of great information to consider if you're in need of updated and preparing for AI. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt like there was too much time trying to sell to me the consultation of the author.

This book was really insightful and really well written. It covers AI in a really practical sense and provides a lot of supporting tools and guidance as to how to take steps to introduce AI in your organisation. This is definitely a book that I will continue to refer back to and would recommend to anyone who has an interest in adopting AI in their business/organisation area.
