Two worlds collide.
Fear struggles with passion, despair with desire.
Which will win in the distrust or temptation?

Part 1 of a breathtaking REVERSE HAREM MAFIA–Trilogy
Mara Harte is writing about love, romance and passion. In her stories she allows male characters to show strength and to conquer their beloved. She herself firmly believes in true love and brings every dark story to a happy ending.
A short, quick read that was fast-paced and such a page-turner. There was something weird in the way it was written, like the author's first language is not English. It was just that the use of functional language and phrasal verbs was just strange. Anyway, I would like to focus on the story itself and not the grammar and writing.
Tracked focuses on the fmc Brooke, who just lost her husband. At her husband's funeral, three suspicious men attended. Later when she confronted them, they opened up a whole new world for her which her husband may have been wrapped up in unbeknownst to her, and this involvement was pointing heavily to the reason of his murder.
Brooke was one of the fmcs who has a strong personality and can stand up for herself. Despite the intimidating men who showed up at her doorstep asking for her help with the promise they'd protect her from the looming danger her husband put her in, she kept her own self-preservation and did not just let the guys push her around. She questioned them and asked them important questions. She doubted them even as her every instinct was to trust them.
The guys were Rory, Wade, and Halo. One was a man from Brooke's past who was making a return, perhaps for a second chance; one was a controlling dominant who ; and the last one was a quiet force who suffered through loss once. All guys were fiercely protective of her, even though initially, she was just a job for them. The guys were all well-written for the first half of the story, but then they all just melded into this one person who was both cruel and sweet, brutal to any threats, but soft on Brooke.
A good start to a series and I liked that the books were short and could be read simultaneously, one after the other. It was like reading a full novel, but it makes me feel more productive since I've technically read three books instead of just one.
Brooke was happily married and lost her husband in a terrible way. Fortunately, she has support from friends during the funeral; Calliope and Ender. There are also 3 men at the funeral. Beautiful men of whom she knows one. Rory, her childhood sweetheart with Wade and Halo, 2 men from a crime syndicate. What are they doing at James' funeral? Then it turns out that James is not the perfect husband she knew. He buys and sells art for the mafia. But not only that! He stole the last piece of art, so that she now has the 3 men in the house. On the one hand for her protection, on the other to help them. The sexual tension between Brooke and the 3 men mounts.
Slowly building story with some steamy scenes between Brooke and Rory but also Wade. A shocking and shocking twist that leaves Brooke questioning her late husband even more. Exciting enough to want to read the sequel.

This is the start to a new series/trilogy that sets things up quite well. We meet Brooke after the unexpected death of her husband. She was content to help his art career putting her life on hold pretty much but now she is kind of at loose ends. This changes when Wade, Rory, and Halo show up at the viewing/funeral changing her world as she knows it. They crash into her life thanks to a job assigned to them through the Beria Syndicate. They are about to expose all sorts of lies that her husband was into further changing things as she knows it. Makes for a great start to the story leading to a cliff hanger that sets up book two. A fast paced read sure to be enjoyed by fans of dark RH. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
The story is steamy, romantic and dramatic. It is a dark, reverse harem, mafia romance novel that ends with a cliff hanger. It is short and fast paced with a cliff hanger at the end that will make the readers eager to read Book 2. It has a strong female protagonist and sweet male protagonists. The steam and great chemistry between them will keep the readers engaged till the end. It is a highly recommended book for readers who like this genre.
Personal Take: This was a short and a steamy read. I really liked the female protagonist ans I loved all the male protagonists. The end has me excited to read Book 2 and I will be picking that one immediately
Tracked is part one of a trilogy. Brooke is living what most people would see as a charmed life, her husband is a thriving art dealer, they live in a beautiful home and have close friends. We start the book right after Brooke's husband James is shot in the streets by the mafia. At his funeral an old flame, a broken man and future Don walk in thus beginning a story full of lust intrigue and betrayal. I love that Rory is someone Brooke knew from college, it makes it much easier for her to transition into the mafia fold.
Brooke is grieving her late husband James who was killed. She doesn't expect her friend from college Rory to be there along with Wade and Halo who are with the mafia at the funeral. But they tell her that she might be next and they need to protect her.

What a whirlwind journey. This writing style is unique in that English isn't the authors first language. She wrote this series well. The aspects of the mafia lifestyle are skewed a lot in these kinds of books. Mara got that part down well. It was as dark as it was realistic. All characters were likeable as well.
This book definitely kept me on my toes not knowing what would happen next. This book has a lot of drama, romance/steam and amazing chemistry between the characters. The cliffhanger at the end just has you wanting more.
This is book 1 of the Sin Players series and it is a great introduction to Brooke and her guys. Brooke is a grieving widow, who's life keeps being turner upside down. This has drama, tension, and steam. Very engaging first book of the series. I am on the edge of my seat to start book 2.
A good start to this new series. The story will keep you interested to see what will happen next. The story is a steamy mafia romance story. The characters fit well together, their chemistry is steamy. Looking forward to the next book.
