Oh this was STEAMY
And steamy and steamy and… only steam… but there was a plot in there… somewhere? 😬😅
There are trigger warnings so I won’t take stars away for any of that. I’ll list them down in the ⚠️.
Samira (18 when the book opens, 28 after) is supposed to be given to Max’s father. They’ve been secretly smexing for the past year. When his father finds them in the middle of the act, he takes her away and Max can’t do anything. Until Max unalives his father when he finds out his father sold her to traffickers. Now, he needs to find where the love of his life is.
What I liked-POSSIBLE SPOILERS:
—um… THE STEAM🔥🥵! Oh my gosh. It’s honestly like 80/90% of the book. They’re €xplicit and detailed. No FTB in this book 😉
—how JP the H is 👀. I mean. He unalives men that’ve seen the h in skimpy clothing/nekkid when she was working (at the gentleman’s club he finds her in). So basically. He gets ALL the men there 😅😬
—the comeuppance for bad people. There were a few t0rture scenes I didn’t mind
—the owd/omd scenes. Not really owd but I’ll list it as such. There’s an ow that claims she’s prettier than Samira. Max forces the OW to watch him… please 👀Samira and then takes care of her 💁🏻♀️(she didn’t know he had a gun on him)
😬👀. Then he also takes care of the OM that dared touch his woman 💅
—the smexy scenes. It’s worth mentioning again considering it’s most of the book 🔥
What I didn’t like/wanted more of:
—the lack of development. I get it, there’s only so many pages in this book. But really, most of it was steamy stuff. There was a lack of development and with a lot of aspects. Like. Where’s the plot? This isn’t a book that you read for the intricate plot lol. Ive read other books by Mila Crawford, so I’m surprised that it was mostly 🔥
—the book opens up in the middle of a 🔥 scene. I feel like I was missing information in order to really understand what was going on. They’re in the middle of doing it, so we miss all the information leading up to them getting to know each other, falling in love, etc. They’re already an established item; well, not exactly established since they’re not official and they’re doing it in secret, but you get what I mean.
—clarity on the 10 years. They’re separated for 10 years, but we don’t get much information on what happened in that time period. We know that Max was celibate, and it’s almost assumed that she wasn’t because she was trafficked (so she was r@p€d), but what was she doing? What was he doing? How come it took him THIS long to find her? So many questions, not enough answers lol
I enjoyed it, but I just wish there was more non smexxy time stuff (but I sure didn’t stop reading them all 😜).

I was waiting for Max since we saw him in another book. And his story was alittle heartbreaking and revenge.
Samira and Max knew eachother she was a brought bride for his father but he fell for her and went forget all you and took her. Their "affair" was forbidden those moments until his father found out and made sure to punish Maxim. 10 years pass and he's still looking for his woman. Country and state, skin trade after skin trade to find her and he finally does. But their reunion isn't like he thought she's alil broken and jaded she doesn't care for him (secretly she does) she wants nothing to do with him. That doesn't stop Max form showing her and the entire strip club she's his. Their is some heavy Degradation and humiliation and alil death for him to get his queen out of there.
The sexual tension is still high between them but they fall back in love with one another and don't waste time. That jet scene... I was Dying!!!!!

WOW. This was so dark and dirty I LOVED IT.
Hero and heroine are obsessed with each other. They're separated by circumstances, and while she undergoes a lot of trauma, he does not give up. Their lovemaking is wild and uninhibited. If you don't mind knife play, asphyxiation, murder, exhibitionism with really messed up individuals wildly in love, this book is for you.

DNF 70%.
This book could've been AMAZING. The author obviously knows how to write emotional stories.
I loved how obsessed the H was with her (his dad's fiance), and I loved how he looked and never gave up on finding her for 10 years.
I loved that the H loved the h more than she was with him.
But the ENTIRE book (a small book at that) is just about sex! Sex, sex, and more sex....
The book lacked character development, you don't see them meet and fall in love... it opens with them already being in love, having sex, we're "told" they've been fucking for a year, but don't worry...sex scenes are super detailed and dragged our-cuz that's whats important for female readers, I guess? /sarcasm
I have no idea how old the MCs were,
not really clear on their appearance except that she's hot with dark hair and big boobs...
Him- no clue, except that he killed his father for her...
Safety:
No clue what happened during their 10yr separation, since all they did was have sex before and after the separation.
The h was sold as a sex slave, so she had obviously been raped throughout the years.
Him - the author didn't mention at the 70% mark when I decided to dnf.
The book was boring because I dont read "romance novels" for pure sex.
This book had something though, wish the author had written a normal romance novel instead.

Samira and Max have a love affair together even though Max’s father owns her. When his father finds out, he sets out to punish Max and makes Samira disappear. After 10 years, Max finally finds Samira to claim her. But Samira isn’t quite the woman that he knew all those years ago. She’s jaded and bitter and seen the worst in life. However, Max doesn’t plan on taking no for an answer.
This was FILTHY. I mean there are some definite triggers in here and the degradation and humiliation was honestly a little TOO much for my personal taste. Yet I couldn’t stop reading…
Seriously Samira and Max are a f*cked up couple lol but hey it works for them so who am I to judge. There isn’t a ton of plot here and definitely not a lot of depth or anything but if you’re looking for something that may push your boundaries and is completely smutty, go for it.

First let me say, this book is not for the faint of heart. The triggers are heavy and the spice is top tier.
I loved everything about this book. I loved how we got to see Max & Samiras beginning. But honestly the real highlight for me(besides the incredible spice) was Alexis and Mikhail. Those two men made me salivate for more of them. I can’t wait for their respective books.
I also loved that we got to see some of our fav couples from the Unlocked Desire series ♥️

So here is what I have learned about Mila Crawford’s novellas…. It’s going to be full of dirty, raw SMUT. Sometimes a plot and sometimes not. This book had somewhat of a plot and some crossover with the fellas from Room 22.
Here is what else I am loving about Mila - I’m finding new words that I have never heard of during the dirty talk… and it makes me chuckle LOL
This is a novella about Max and Samira. I can’t say anymore or I will spoil the book 🙂

There is no plot. Starting was good, despite still with sex, than there was just sex. It was fucking ridiculous that he-the head of the bratva who keeps saying he hates when people look at her had to put on a show as the price in front of everyone in the club which is where she works because he can’t just drag her out under her now-owner.
There are better scenarios if u want to write a exhibitionist scene.
Dont ignore the warnings at the beginning of the book cuz u will read an erotica with dark side of kinky fuckery.

An emotional rollercoaster...
3.5 stars.
This novella moved so fast I couldn't even process what was going on before something else happened. 💁🏽♀️
Overall the plotline had a lot of potential, the characters seemed interesting but I wish there was more.
Max spends ten years looking for Samira the love of his life after killing his own father to get her. However in those ten years while he's slaughtering people to find her, she's been through the worst side of the male species. One night he finds her, claims her, there's public fckin and then the story just about wraps up shortly after.
Max did have a way with his words, to express his obsession especially since not many Mob gangsters usually can. It was commendable and it decent quick read ig. ✊🏽

I am beyond thrilled with how this book turned out. Although it's short is fantastic! The spice is 5 out of 5. The story was 5 out of 5. I will definitely be rereading this in the future.
This story follows Maxim and Samira. Samira was sold to the highest bidder which happened to be a mafia boss. Samira was sold to Maxims father. Maxim and Samira had an already established relationship. So when she was sold to his father he lost it. His father knocked him out and when he came to Samira was gone...
He searched for her for 10 years. He never game up on his love. And he would stop at NOTHING to get her back....

I won’t lie, this book is 95% spice and 5% dialogue, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but don’t expect any sustenance or feels. And boy can this author write some spiiicy scenes!! **cough** Jet Scene **cough**
I would have liked a little more time to connect with the characters, or have more of their story told. I’m assuming this is a prequel to a full length series, and if so, I’m looking forward to reading the other characters stories.
Overall this was a fast, spicy, easy read that made a nice buff to heavier reads. This was my first Mila Crawford book and I will be checking more of her books out in the future.

I won’t lie, this book is 95% spice and 5% dialogue, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but don’t expect any sustenance or feels. And boy can this author write some spiiicy scenes!! **cough** Jet Scene **cough**
I would have liked a little more time to connect with the characters, or have more of their story told. I’m assuming this is a prequel to a full length series, and if so, I’m looking forward to reading the other characters stories.
Overall this was a fast, spicy, easy read that made a nice buff to heavier reads. This was my first Mila Crawford book and I will be checking more of her books out in the future.
I did receive this book as an ARC copy from the author, but these are all my honest opinions.

I’m confused about some of the reviews here complaining of lack of plot! Yeah ok, it was minimal.. but was it supposed to have a plot? Should the author have sat there and thought to herself, “Oooh actually I should chuck a few thousand more words into this, just to make sure people know every detail of the characters lives”? No, of course she shouldn’t have! Not every book needs to be like that! Some of us like a nice, quick, smutty read from time to time.. no major storyline needed 🤷🏻♀️ and this book definitely delivered on that!! This is a definite recommendation from me 😁 my only very minor criticism is that there were a few lines in there that didn’t read very well from a grammatical point of view.. but things like that are easy to miss sometimes I guess.

This is spicy dark porn. Mila can do no wrong with that. 😂 It is fast paced but that’s expected for me with a novella. Loved the characters and the relationship between the two.

The only thing that I wish it was full length than a spicy novella.
I would love to see more of Max and Samira when they met and how the relationship began.
Sneaky around till they caught and Samira was sent away.
The search in finding Samira from Max and more of what Samira went through when she was in the skin trade.
However, this snapshot was enough to understand all this and Max's commitment to Samira and their relationship.
Well onto the next one...

I read this in an hour and a half. I knew that there would be spicy scenes but omg!!! I swear I’m no prude but this made me blush!
I love shorter stories and this one didn’t disappoint! I absolutely love HEA in my books so this was a plus. Also, looovvvveeee possessive MC that will unalive for her 🥵🥵🥵💥💥💥

How is it possible that with each new book I love Mila so much more?! This novella in particular, I laughed out loud (grenades were involved) which doesn't happen often. If you want quick little novellas with well rounded & developed characters and a storyline that sucks you right in (and LOTS of spice), Mila is definitely the autbor for you!!

Perhaps I shouldn’t have read this straight after my bloody valentine because although the story line is themed different there are some veryyyy similar lines between the books so felt repetitive.

I love Mila's writing.
If you like dark, trouble and sex then this is the author for you.
A short read at 136 pages it certainly packs a punch. Mila has become an instant read author for me this is the second book of hers I've read.

When Samira was taken from Max and sold by his father he wanted to burn down the world to get her back. So he killed his father and and took over the spot at the head of the mafia and searched for 10 years following lead after lead until he finally found her. When he does she is not the same wide-eyed an innocent girl that she was when she was taken from him. They will take vengeance on any man that has hurt Samira starting with the people that have her presently. I love how the people from the author’s other series play a role in this book. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!!

They have been separated for ten years, and Maxim wants his woman back but will Samira feel the same way?
