Not as good as The Party, but not a total throw-away by any means. Mina and Adam have hit a difficult time in their marriage so Mina (a flight attendant) grabs an opportunity for a much publicized nonstop 23 hour inaugural flight from London to Sydney. A locked-room thriller when the plane is hijacked and Mina is the only key to the survival of the passengers and her own family. I thought the writing was a little uneven, but no denying the story was exciting and well told with believable characters.

A little hard to follow because of all of the characters but it had a good pace and decent twists. Would recommend

Not as good as previous books of hers, my least favourite of hers to be honest! I still enjoyed the book though!

The plot was a bit convoluted with several holes, stretches and coincidences too coincidental to be remotely plausible.
I also felt climate change deniers would love this as it painted environmentalists as unhinged, radical, and/or completely manipulatable followers. Bizarre portrayal if the author doesn’t think that way too.
Also, if you listen to the audiobook, there is no change in voice from characters, and it’s written in first person for all characters, so when a new chapter starts it’s very confusing until you figure out which character it is. And, as parents of the same child, sometimes you’re far into the chapter before you realize.

This would have been a 5 but there was too much repeating. This was another page turner and just when I thought I had it figured out twists appeared. But all's well that ends well!
Each of Clare Macintosh's books are stand alone so it doesn't matter the order you read them in. I wonder if each of us was faced with the decision one of the characters had to face - what would we do? And how would the whole story have changed if the person had been honest from the beginning?

Too much repetition and too many characters that were not useful. Lost interest.
