For almost a decade, I suffered in the hands of my pack. I suffered when I was alienated and ostracized from everything and everyone I knew. I mourned when my parents were brutally murdered as pawns in the Dires' game. Worst of all, I became a victim of my own suffering, dreaming of one day breaking free and experiencing life anew.
When I finally escaped Sibyl Falls, barely unscathed. I thought I could finally breathe - even if just for a little while. I was wrong.
After months of secrecy, I discover that Damen is Tiam, the boy I befriended long ago by the waterfall near the Forbidden Forest. My fated mate, the same one I rejected.
To make matters worse, I find out all I've known about the Soul Eater dagger and the curse that follows it was wrong. The only way to break its hold would be to tap into our bond or kill my mate to stop the darkness from consuming me.
As more girls disappear, we are in a race against time to find answers that could help us understand my wolf and how she and the kidnapper are tied. Yet despite our best efforts to resist our attraction to one another, it proves difficult. We are like moths to a flame, burned by the fire but unable to resist the pull and heat of our attraction.
When new secrets are revealed and former friends and acquaintances become foes, we discover that our paths were long predestined and our future more unclear than the stars.
To survive, this marked wolf must fight her way through all that is thrown her way, especially when it comes to protecting her heart and saving those she cares about.

The first book in this series really made an impression on me so I knew that I needed to read more in this series.
I have to applaud the author for the original content in this series. When I sat down with a shifter romance I wasn't expecting all the surprising angles the author would be taking. It is refreshing to read a book that surprises me. I love how the author constructed the plot and all of her unique ideas. I admit that the writing is confusing at times with the way that the author words things but it isn't severe enough to make me stop reading. The amazing relationships between characters more than makes up for any quirks that I have with the storytelling.
I really love all of the characters and the author really makes each one of them stand out. I adore the relationships that the characters have with each other. The relationships are written well.
The romance is so addicting! I love the friends-to-enemies-to-lovers vibe that the main characters have. The tension between these two is off the charts. I love that they have a history with each other and how it adds a lot to the emotional aspect of the story. Most of all I just really love the main couple's electric chemistry with tons of angst.
Overall, I am loving this series! The book has a need for a good pass in editing but I'm otherwise smitten with these characters. I've been awaiting the release of the third book for what seems like forever so I'm certainly ready to see how this series ends.
This was the second book in her series and after reading the first I went straight into this one as I don't like cliffhangers. The first book was good, I liked the introduction to all the characters and the set up of the storyline. I found the two MC’s very strong and the banter from Edith made me like her character more as the books went on. In the second one it goes straight into the action, building on the story and giving more information as to what has gone on and what will happen. You get to meet a lot more characters, some from Damien’s past as well, and this just further added to the story. There was also a little spice, a well written shower scene.
At times I was a little confused as when it jumped between POV chapters it seemed to be a little lost at times but then regained its momentum as you carried on reading. Did find a few grammar mistakes but it didn’t diminish or complicate how you read.
As I said before I don’t like cliffhangers but the way they are written makes you want to get the next book so you can find out what has happened which is definitely a good thing. Would recommend this series as it is enticing, interesting, great characters and a good quick read. To get 5 stars I would probably just go through the structures of the chapters and extend some conversations to make more impact.

3.5 ⭐️
Ahhh I have some mixed feelings in this one but I can't entirely place it into words just now.
I loved seeing more of Edith and Damen and finally having some truths out in the open, and it was great to get some more of our favourite side characters and meet a few new ones.
However, that element of miscommunication was still very present which is always a huge dislike of mine. On top of this, there was some aspects from book one that I was surprised weren't mentioned in this book as I think they're pretty important, and I'm not sure if they were left out purposely or just forgotten?
I found myself getting frustrated more often than book one and often felt confused about what was happening.
Regardless of this, I read it in one sitting and exactly the same as book one, I just had to know what was coming next.
Once again, Maya leaves us on a stress filled cliffhanger and bugging for the final book in the series!

This is the second book in Maya Morrison fated mates story. There was so many great things going on with this story, she did a great job of making you want what the characters want. I became so invested in the story i kept checking to see what page i was on going.... how is this going to wrap in 20 pages... Sadly this book does end with a cliffhanger making you want the next book to be out now! Maya Morrison is becoming and author that i will read whatever book she puts out.
I'd love to see some spin off books with the other characters in the books and about the realms that they come from. That is how great of a job she does making a world and the characters.

Be still my beating heart! I never knew I could be so invested in two people - their love, their misunderstandings and what's more their fight for survival!
Marked Wolf carries on delving deeper into the different realms, magic, love, secrets, loyalty and omg twists and turns to save... well so many things are hanging in the balance (and I'm trying not to reveal any plot spoilers because you really do need to experience this story yourself as it all unfolds!!). I literally struggled to put this book down and cannot wait for the next instalment.
Maya really knows how to connect you to the story, willing you to crave more!
Marked Wolf bk2 wow! 😍 loved it Plays out really well takes you on a rollercoaster of a ride making me want to say Yes, finally but then they don't n ya puff out No! But the end all I want to shout was Noooooooooooooooooo
Off to download bk3 now I need a HEA
It's definitely a must if you've read bk1 Hope you enjoy as much as I did😘
I enjoyed the first book but this one made the characters seem childish and unintelligent. Their reactions didn't seem reasonable, nothing they did made sense, and I don't feel like there was any development. This was my first DNF and I wish I hadn't paid for this book.
A really enjoyable read that had so many interesting twists and turns. I love the characters. Lots of action, suspense, magic and love in this second book.

Holy wow!!!!
I was hooked the entire time I read this and had a hard time putting it down!!!
I really like all of the characters and the side characters that keep getting introduced are fantastic!
Only two things I don’t like about Edith, 1 - her reaction to Kyrans secret, like why is she flipping out to that degree? Especially when she realized she misunderstood how the other person felt when they talked about him.
2 - they literally told her to leave not wander around and then look what happens. The cliffhanger of all cliffhangers!!!
I will definitely be reading the third book whether it’s as an arc copy or when it releases and I buy it!
The lore is really interesting and there is still so much to uncover! I love all the different types of shifters / paranormal creatures in the books.
The world sounds beautiful and I really like the magic system.
