Rodeo Dreams #2

Inevitable Me & You, Part Two

Rate this book
I simply cannot resist this, despite the guilt that grips my mind.

Chloe

The day my husband, Eric, went missing was the worst day of my life.
It ground my world to a halt and I’m still there, waiting for a break in his case that I’m not sure will ever come.
I can’t imagine a future without him, but I need to move forward for the sake of our son at least.
Then at one of my son’s games, I lock eyes with a rugged cowboy and it feels like my world starts spinning again.
I can’t start something with him though, can I? It would be wrong to open my heart to another when there’s a chance that my husband could still be alive.

Don

I thought that I would never want another woman after my wife died but then I saw Chloe and all of that changed.
She makes me feel alive again. She makes me feel lust again. She makes me want a woman again.
I know that I should fight this, I doubt that my son would be happy with me dating a school rivals’ mom, yet here I am, wishing that I could make her fall into my arms.
When they’re both getting too close to giving into the temptation, will the flames of passion be too hot for either of us to stand?

Part two we find out that Don is fine after being thrown off his horse Enigma out on the trail when Don had his mind on Chloe instead of watching for critters such as the snake that frightened Enigma. Don is just a bit sore a few bruises so he heads for the three day competition that he feels pretty certain he’s got in the bag which will set him and Alex up for the next couple of months bills, food, etc. Unfortunately he goes into this competition and his head isn’t in the right place, he just can’t quite thinking about Chloe, and the guilt he has feeling as if he’s betraying Emily. Chloe is in the throes of financial issues for her and Max, she’s trying to figure out the best possible way to make adjustments to the budget with as little disruption as possible. Chloe is fighting her guilt that she is letting Eric down, along with the dreams they had but she just can’t make it all work on just her salary alone, not only this issue but she is also thinking nonstop about Don, but in the same breath will nit allow herself to accept that Eric is not coming back home even though it has been over six years since he disappeared. Don comes home from his tournament deflated, he didn’t place at all, walks through the door can’t find Alex, smells smoke “cigarette” out in the shed in the back, Alex and Don have a tough heart to heart talk. Part two leaves us with Don and Alex eating fast food, Alex get very sick just a matter of hours later and they leave us with Don asking if Alex wanted go to the ER. Very anxious for Part Three to find out what really is wrong with Alex. Could it be food poisoning? Could it be something much bigger? Inevitable Me & You - Part 2

Inevitable Me & You (Rodeo Dreams) is Book/Part 2 in the continuing series about Chloe Shelley and Don Rogers. After their first meeting these two single parents cannot stop thinking about each other over the next week. So much so that they are both messing up and making mistakes. For Don that means he has missed a big pay day by not winning or even placing at a big rodeo. For Chloe that means making mistakes at work. Both feel guilty about having an attraction and the beginning of feelings for each other, because of their inability to have moved on from their spouses. With their sons going to different schools though the chance of their paths crossing any time soon is slim.....or is it when financial troubles are about to come crashing in on Chloe and that means the possibility of moving her son to a different school. As it happens one of the options is the same school that Don's son attends. So come Monday afternoon and their paths may just cross once again, but will an opportunity be seized or will it float away?

I am really enjoying this at times emotional, sweet and in your head story about two single parents who are trying to live the best they can in circumstances that neither ever imagined. I also enjoyed the supporting characters of her friend, his fellow cowboys and both their sons, who all add to the story-line. I am looking forward to seeing just what happens in the next book/part of the story.

The story continues in book two with Don competing in a weekend rodeo hoping for a win so he will be financially set for a couple of months, but he does not seem to be able to get his mind in the right zone. He came home a day early, only to catch Alex smoking in the shed in back of the house. Don yells at him for smoking and asked him what his mother would say. To have Alex reply, he does not remember her well enough to know what she would say. At that point Don was to shocked to continue, and he told Alex there was fast food in the kitchen. The next morning Alex woke up vomiting and thought he was going to die. Don thought he only had food poisoning, but he was going to take Alex to the ER just in case.

Chloe had gotten the bills for the month, and they had fallen so far behind she was going to have to get a second job or have Max charge schools, but she was not wanting Max to leave his school. This was the school she and Eric had picked when he was a child, but Max would rather change schools than have his mother take a second job. The school she settles on was Thornby, the same school Alex goes too.

An amazing story of the struggles of being a single parent for reasons beyond the parent's control and continuing onward with life.

Ella Cooper has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Chloe and Don. Chloe is upset that she hasn't got enough money to pay the bills and keep her son Max in the school that she and Eric wanted him to go to. She is planning to get a second job and she talks to Max about it and they decide to check out different schools for him. Max doesn't mind changing schools as long as he gets time with his mom. Don can't get Chloe off his mind. He wonders if his deceased wife, Emily would like her. He knows that Emily wanted him to find someone else. He is at the bronc and barrel competition and hopes to place in the top three. Things don't work the way he wants and he doesn't place at all. He is thinking about Emily, his son Alex, and Chloe. When Don gets home, he can't find Alex. He goes looking for him and finds him in the shed, and he is smoking a cigarette. Don and Alex have a talk and Don asked Alex what he thought his mom would say. Alex tells him he doesn't know. He tells Don that he doesn't remember her anymore. Don wonders what would happen if he asked Chloe out.
Will Chloe and Don get together?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Chloe and Don . . .

The two main characters have experienced the loss of a spouse. Eric’s disappearance was the worst day of Chloe’s life. It has been 6 years now since he has been gone and no one knows what happened to him. With a single income, Chloe is worrying about paying the bills and whether they should move or not. Her mind is also on the handsome cowboy she saw at her son’s game. But Chloe still isn’t sure she should think about starting something with someone while there is a remote chance her husband may reappear.

Since Don’s wife died, he has not been interested in any other woman. But Chloe made him feel things he thought had died inside. He realized he wants her. His mind isn’t on the rodeo. But he’s not sure how to find Chloe, regretting that they didn’t get acquainted when they first saw each other. Will they get another chance? Or will they still hesitate to move forward?

I received an Advanced Reader Copy for an honest and voluntary review

Don and Chloe’s story has been fantastic so far!! You really get to see how different and similar each of their situations are. I’m rooting for both of them, and really want to see them together ♥️ I love the twists and turns of this story!! I definitely can’t wait for Part 3!!
Chloe’s struggling financially and doesn’t know what to do. Her bills are piling up, she may need to find a second job and she is trying to do what’s best for her son. Chloe is looking at different schools for her son. One of them just so happens to be the same school Don’s son goes to…..
Don is a Rodeo star. If he could just concentrate, he would earn a great deal of money, for him and his son. The only problem is he can’t keep his mind off of Chloe, and very much wants to find her again…..
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES 💙

I am voluntarily leaving this review. This book is part two of a series. It leaves you on a cliffhanger, but you don’t have to wait long for the next one, and well worth the wait. The storyline is great and will keep you intrigued from page one.

Chloe and Don both find themselves thinking about each other more then they care to admit. Both are going through some of the same situations as the other and learning how to handle the problems. With no way to contact each other, they find themselves hoping to cross paths again while also learning how to deal with their guilt of moving on from their past loves.

I can’t wait to see how this story continues to play out. This is a great story that will have you hooked from page one.

Inevitable Me & You - Book 2 💔❤️‍🩹

I gave this book 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I struggled with this one as it was too much of Chloe and Don still in their heads about their ‘missing/deceased’ partner. Even though Don seems to be more ready than Chloe to move on with life as such.

I’m concerned with Chloe’s character, and thought that Max was a very understanding young man.

I enjoyed Jimmy the larrikin, I had a giggle at his antics.

I see you have thrown in a twist with Don’s son Alex. I’m intrigued to see how his story plays out in the next Part - Book 3!

Give this book a go, as you may not agree with me and that is totally fine 😁

This is part 2 of a love story between two single parents and it ends on a cliffhanger. I like it the way this story moves steadily, giving the reader a clear understanding of the personalities of the main couple. Chloe's husband has been missing for 6 years and she is hopeful he will return. Don's wife died years ago and he is devoted to her memory. Are they ready to move on? In this installment there is more information about their past relationships and current challenges as individuals. It is short, thoughtful, told in dual POV with good worldbuilding details. I'm looking forward to the next part of this intriguing and complicated romance.

Not very much happens in this part. Don and Chloe are trying to cope with the attraction they feel after so much time without feeling anything at all in the attraction department.
Don can stop thinking about Chloe and that distracts him from the competition he needs to win to keep his debts controlled.
Chloe can stop thinking about Don instead of concentrating on the debts she has. She needs to cut expenses drastically.
Both of them feel guilty about the feelings that are awakening in them and at the same time, they feel alive again.

In part two of Inevitable Me & You: A Single Parent Cowboy, we continue on where part one left off. After meeting at their son's rugby game and then going their separate ways, they continue as single parents to work through their problems as well as deal with their tragic pasts. Only now, both Chloe and Don are left wondering what would have happened if they had made the effort to stay in touch. I'm thoroughly enjoying this story and this book ends with a cliffhanger that has me really looking forward to reading the third part!

This is part 2 of the Rodeo Dreams series and the story of Don and Chloe. They have met but are going about their lives separately with their own worries. Chloe is a single mom trying to balance what is best for her son with only having one income. Don is intrigued by the idea of Chloe and would want to get to know her better (ok, he's obsessed :) ) but he doesn't know how to find her. Plus he is also balancing being a single parent.

There is a cliffhanger here, but it's okay because I knew it was coming and book 3 is coming soon! I love the characters and cannot wait to see where they are going to go.

Don and Chloe are both dealing with financial issues and thinking about each other, which is distracting them and causing big problems. Alex was caught smoking when Don got home, they had their talk, but now he is not feeling well. The characters are getting more developed and I love their thoughts and analyzing of how they feel their previous spouses would feel. Normal dilemmas that are dealt with well here. This series has me hooked and can not wait for the next storyline. Love the tension as no romance is fully easy. all the time.

Chloe and Max are just in debt over their heads and trying to figure out how to get their heads above water.
Max said he would change schools so that Chloe would not miss any of his games and she would be home more instead of working an extra job to keep him at the present school.
Don did not have his head in the game for the rodeo competition as he could not get Chloes face out of his mind.
Really enjoying this series and can not wait to find out how these 2 families fair at the end.

Rodeo Dreams part 2

Chole is trying to figure a way out with all of her debt. She doesn't want to move her son Max out of his school to another and thinks about getting a second job. Max doesn't want her getting another job because she wouldn't be around much and he's willing to change schools.
Don has gone to a rodeo competition that should be a cake walk and help pay his bills for the next 2 months but his head is not in the game. He is spending a lot of time thinking about Chloe.
They both have so much guilt/baggage about moving on and yet their situations are similar.

Book 2 is opening up the storyline. Chloe is struggling with financial challenges and one choice is for her son to move schools. Guilty thoughts about Eric's wishes merge with practical needs. Don is troubled as thoughts of chloe are effecting his reason and his reaction in his rodeo show has been impacted. He is also thinking of the past he shared will his wife.
Hope and plans made in the past are beginning to collide with hope and plans for the future.

This is the second book in the Rodeo Dreams series and we see Chole and Don struggling with different things as single parents and the hard decisions they have to make. Chole is struggling with wanting to put her son first or find an even ground for them. Don's head is not in the Rodeo game as he is thinking all about Chole and wanting to get to know her but struggles with guilt. What a great second installment can't wait to see what comes.

Don and Chloe do not interact in this part of the book but their previous interaction looms large in both of their minds. Even as they struggle to make ends meet as single parents, they wonder if the spark they felt means they are ready to move on, take the next steps forward into being involved with someone else.

This book is being released in several parts. They do need to be read in order. This is a well written book and I think many people would sympathize with the struggles of being a single parent.

Chloe & Don's story continues...
Chloe's son understands his mother is struggling to pay the bills & is willing to leave the school she & her husband, missing for 6 years, had agred he would attend. Her choice is the same school Don's son attends & the school would welcome her son due to his academic & sporting achievements. Will the two boys become friends? Can Chloe & Don become more than friends, can she move on from a "missing" husband, is he alive? Come on Ella, I need answers! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Don wife died, Chloe's husband just disappeared. When Don and Chloe see each other across the field they both have to decide what they want. They each have a boy and they both play rugby. I found this book to be emotional and it shows the strength that Chloe had to continue on with the plans her and her husband made. Don to want to start living more again. I was drawn in by the characters and the story. Great story.

Moving on to the second part of the new series, we become more and more involved in Don and Chloe's lives. They want to move on with their lives but both still have a lot of trouble with their past. You can see that they both struggle with their own dilemma. Part 2 is also full of unexpected twists, the chemistry and attraction between Don and Chloe remains palpable. I'm already looking forward to the third part of this great series, and what else is to come.

This is part two in this series. The story of Don and Chloe continues as their lives move forward separately. Both of these characters are single parents for different reasons and life is throwing them both a curve ball. The book gives us readers a glimpse of the next steps Don and Chloe take to keep their finances on par as they contemplate the impact of dating again. Enjoy!.

In part two you find Chloe needs to figure out a different school for Max as she cannot pay for this one even with his scholarship. And now is at the one where Don son goes to. Don has had a hard weekend at the rodeo and did not place and is home. He find Alex smoking and now Alex is having bad stomach pain and on the way to the ER.

Chloe and Dom's story continues. And just as good as before. Although the two have not met again until now, both can only think of the other. Due to Chloe's son changing schools, which is probably due to a lack of money, it could soon be possible for the two to meet more often.
I'm curious how it will continue...

This is the second book in the series and Chloe and Don are still living their single parent lives, struggling alone bringing up teenage sons and the financial worries that come with it but also can't stop thinking about each other.
They have no way of getting in touch with each other but Chloe's son Max may soon be starting at the same school as Don's son Alex.
Ends on a cliffhanger so can't wait for the next book.

This is the second part of Chloe and Don's story. As they continue with their lives, the thoughts of each other are on their minds, but so are previous spouses.

They are going through struggles of their daily lives while wondering what the future could be.

This part is laying the groundwork of what looks to be an amazing story.

Struggles

Both Don and Chloe are struggling, not with each other, unless thoughts count. Chloe needs to make some changes; the bills are piling up.

Don is distracted and has to change plans. Good thing his horse is a good listener. This book also ends with an emergency.
