Heir to the Empire is messy in the BEST way — betrayal, broken families, stolen identities, generational trauma, cartel politics, and twins whose lives couldn’t be more opposite. This story follows a son who was discarded until the day his parents needed him… and that single decision exposes every lie, every scheme, and every dark truth this family has been built on. It’s a gritty ride full of hurt, deception, jealousy, loyalty, and the kind of chaos that comes when blood isn’t enough to make you family — but shared pain is.
What I loved most is how the characters fight to overcome the failings of the people who raised them. The bonds they build, the relationships that grow, and the personal growth they each stumble into had me turning pages like CRAZY. There’s betrayal, murder, robbery, and just enough romance tension to soften the blow of all the violence and manipulation. The ending sets up perfectly for more, and yes… my jaw 100% dropped.
If you love urban fiction with twists, family mess, and characters trying to build something better than what they came from — this is for you.

Excellent series
This book had me in the edge of my seat. I knew Khalil had something planned but he was literally 10 steps ahead of everyone. I love that Kano and Khalil got to reunite. I’m glad karma hit all the folks who deserved it. 5 star read!!!

Umm I see more
Ok man I loved this series.. the character development, the laughs and even the tears made this one of my top favorites. Trenae definitely tells an amazing story that evokes all emotions but still you can't put it down. I knew that the meeting of Khalil and Kano would be epic but I loved how they each accepted each other without any other influences. I loved Egypt's way of loving Kano. The way she spoke life into him was the best part for me. Ok Havok and Karrin definitely was a sight to see because how Karrin felt about her relationships period but Mommee definitely spoke life into her but so did Khalil. Definitely a must read

Secrets Are Deadly!!
Sydney is about to die and her last thoughts were she had many regrets but she wouldn't changed a thing. Money hungry a$$. She is scandlous,evil and thoughtless. She thought Kano was going beg for her life. She have known better Kano took Kamal out not Khalil. Sydney didn't have any morals if she did she wouldn't have had a daughter with her father-in-law and didn't have a name her after him. That why Karrin didn't answer Sydney the first time. Kamal was thinking he was doing something by threatening Mommee, Lola, Honey, and Egypt. Kamal was a man with no money or power but with a big ego. Kano doubt it Khalil could outsmart Kamal. Khalil listen and plotted against him from the beginning. Their plan backfired from the beginning, they should known Kano wasn't dead from the start, and they didn't know Khalil was going to fall in love with Honey. Mommee got all her grandchildren with her, and her great grandchildren and they married their significant other.

GREAT ENDING
This series was full of many secrets, lies and greed. The past has a way of coming back and causing havoc. Khalil was not one to be played with or underestimated. And he proved that with Kamal and Sydney. Kamal, Sydney and Karrington got exactly what they deserved. Although their childhoods weren't the greatest, Kano, Khalil and Karrington didn't have any bad blood amongst them. I loved how everyone has moved on, expanded the family and became closer. Can't wait for what's next in Sienna Springs.

Editor, PLEASE
This was such a great story. Khalil was an alpha man that spoke his truth. The siblings finally becoming a family was awesome. Their parents were selfish, conceited, manipulative people who cared only about money and appearances.
It's a shame this series was ruined by lack of editing. Right off the bat, this installment had errors, including different spelling for two of the characters. If the storyline hadn't been so good, I would not have completed this series.

Great finale!!
I loved this one just as much as the first one! It was so good y’all ‼️
The secrets were jaw dropping. That damn Sydney was really something else 🤦🏾♀️ like she would literally do anything to maintain that lifestyle.
Kamal thought he was really that ninja until he ran across Khalil. He got everything he deserved. And I just knew Havoc was solid I just had this feeling about him.
I loved the way the siblings just instantly bonded that was so beautiful to me 🥹

Didn’t disappoint
Just when you thought you had it all figured out them twists and turns will have you like wait a min yall thought I was finished? I loved that Syd had a POV toward the end to really see how she truly thought and whether she was Kamal’s victim or right hand man. I think ultimately he brain washed her and fed off of her young mind and short comings. I want to spill more but I’m so in love with all the couples, they’re not perfect but they go perfectly together.

Whew what a ending man Kammal was a monster a sick one at that was money hungry and powerful so he thought until Khalil and Kano , Havo brought him down then his wife Sydney got read by Khalil how could she let a monster treat her children like that but she had secrets too that caused her demise, I'm just happy the siblings and their partners created their own family!!

Part 2 picked up right where we left off. The love story of Khalil and Honey started with drama from revealed secrets. With more revelations and Egypt and Kano reuniting the romance was quickly an afterthought as everyone focused on their common enemy. Havoc was hilarious. He is so good for Karrin. I hope this is truly the beginning for lithe Cartwright’s so we can see the couples living life.

Best story I've read in a while
This book had me at the edge of my seat the whole time everything was so perfect I would have changed one thing about the book I hope to God that it is not the end for this family because I love all of them but I know good things don't last forever I do know any and every book you come out with I will download the same day and read kudos to you cuz you did that

There was a silver lining in this story after all. Aside from the typos and character mix ups this was a good story. There were plenty of gems being dropped. The Cartwright crew will get to enjoy their adult life and learn to heal from the trauma their messed up parents gave them. This book really shoes you how money could really be the root of all evil and just how far ppl will go just to have power.

Khalil is Bae For Real!!!
Now that’s how you write a complete book. No, 10 book series just to say nothing. Ms. Trenae’ was able to scale the book down to a two book series, just perfect. Khalil was super smart and followed his instincts. I love how he loved on Honey. He was direct, honest and open. The plot twists were entertaining and unexpected. Just a few editing errors however it still flowed.

Great series
This was a really great series. I been waiting for part two just so I could see how things played out and I'm not disappointed at all. I'm so glad that the Cartwrights got what they deserved because they were some messed up folks and Sydney the most because how do you go against your children all for some money smh.

Great read
I was glad to see everything come full circle and everyone got their happy ending and that Khalil, Kano and Karrin were able to bond with each other and find love. Sydney, Kamal and Karrington definitely deserved all the karma that was served to them and I was glad to see they got it. This was a great read can’t wait to see what comes from this crew in the future.

Loved how the storyline played out. The siblings reunited and addressed their issues. Kamal and Sydney let greed lead them to their demise, so deserving!! Egypts love for Kano was beautiful. Everyone underestimated
Khalil, wrong move. The editing issues and name changes was ridiculous..Sean/Shawn Havoc/Havok….really!!

Fabulous flowy read
This was a great read. It's my second book from the author but this one here had me looking forward to reading the next chapter while at work. The character were funny, dislikable, relatable and loveable the way characters should be. There were moments where I laughed and also got teary eyed. Read it, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Good ending!
Although this was a good ending. I felt like it was rushed there were points in the story where the characters got mixed up along with a lot of grammatical errors. But all in all I loved it! I swear all her characters be hella funny and you just can’t help but to fall in love with them!

It ain’t no fun when the rabbit has the gun.
This book had me fighting mad at some points.
The parental characters in this book are absolutely insane and delusional.
I was so glad the siblings were able to overcome the secrets and betrayal from their so called parents.
I loved the relationship the twins were able to build after not knowing about each other.

I love that Karrin put her heart first and finally allowed Havoc to love her. Kano and Egypt are just meant to be the way that she knows and holds her man down is everything. Kalil and Honey can be happy in peace.

Awesome!
I love a good broken family comes together book! I love Khalil! I’m glad Mommee made it to the ending, I was worried. Honey was getting NB on my nerves so I’m glad she got some get right by the end of the book. Impressive and feel good type book!

Ok Trenaé you did that!
I enjoyed every minute reading this, the storyline, the drama that went on was crazy and baby that big family secret whew I wasn't expecting that and everyone got what they deserve can't wait to see what Trenaé puts out next!
