I won this book in a goodreads drawing.

Dark poetry. Much of it having to do with heartbreak and The Door Test.

It felt very 1990's to me.

unfulfilled promises

i was so disappointed by this book. the poems were trite, shallow, and frankly boring. not a single word was challenging or provoking, so the “warning” was an empty promise. from the bitter dedication, it is clear that someone tried to warn the author who did not listen to criticism.

a standout and reflective quote from the book is “you have not done your best work.”

god help me if i have to read the word “feckless” one more time.

some of the art was cool, but most of it was just like the poetry- disappointing and obvious.

I received a digital copy of this book through a Goodreads giveaway. (Thank you, Vega Starlight)

A collection of poignant, dark, poetry. The book begins with a warning to readers in “If, Then”, and ends with the heartfelt urging of “The End”, between which are poems filled with anger, sorrow and yearning. Photos and artwork beautifully enhances the “dark circus” theme. I enjoyed this book, and I would recommend it to other readers.

Wow! Not my kind of poetry but it was very stimulating to read. I was intrigued and I’m glad I read it. Beautiful artwork.

Sorry

I really found this very boring, only good thing was the pictures. I couldn't even get though it all I gave up about 100 pages in.

I received this as a Goodreads giveaway. I really did not enjoy it. I expected it to be gripping and a little blood-curdling. It wasn't, at all. I did a little creeped out at points. In the same way I do when men shout things at me in the street, and then call me a wh*re when I don't respond. I'm not sure if that was what the author was trying to achieve. It was not what I anticipated.

If you're thinking about buying this book. I would encourage you to check out the authors Instagram first. If that leaves you intrigued you should definitely buy it. If it does not, don't.

It was beautiful. It is beautiful. You can feel the adrenaline train of the poet's words, and can't help but immerse yourself. Tragic. Peaceful. And still beautiful. The mind of a poet is. The artwork added to the themes.

This book of poetry is not for the weak. If you get easily upset or have rape trauma/ptsd, don't read. There are actually some really good poems outside of what some might call "shock value." If you're a person that's really into dark and grisly kind of things, it would be a good add to that kind of collection.

Interesting read

Between the poetry and visual artwork, this is definitely worth going through. Recommended to enjoy visual and written art forms

I won this in the Good Reads Give away. The artwork, the prose are amazing. Is it dark? Yes. Is it touching? Yes. Thought provoking? Yes. If you like dark, different from the standard, this is for you. I loved it!

I won this book from a Goodreads giveaway.

This was an odd mix of boring and disturbing. Immediately deleted off my kindle after reading.
