Royal, Jaxon, Lucky, and Dante are back Each of them wanting more from me than I can give Would they still want me if they knew the truth Would they still love me if I let the darkness take over
Would I still be their Angel if they knew I let the devil in Twisted Souls is the first book in the Reapers of Havoc series and must be read in order. The heroine will have multiple hot-as-hell love interests.
Please be advised this series contains a lot of dark content, graphic sex scenes and harsh language. This book is recommended for 18 and older. If dark content triggers you then this book is not for you. Otherwise, happy reading.
This is one of the most wattpadish books I've ever come across, and I found myself feeling a mix of disgust, annoyance, and disbelief as I read through it.
⤏ What to expect: ∘ New Adult Contemporary ∘ MC Romance ∘ Reverse Harem ∘ Childhood Bestfriends
This book was pure smut, the plot was a complete joke, and the writing style was just... bad.
As for the harem, I was super okay with the idea of it being formed by the protagonist's four childhood bestfriends. However, the author then decided to - randomly - throw some taboo in there by adding one of the boys' dad to the mix and THAT completely ruined the story for me. The unexpected and shocking twist left me feeling disturbed, and it was by far the worst scene in the book. What happened there was assault. And she liked it?! A big NO from me.
Okay, this book is so good. Let me count the ways. 1. The characters are like normal people- they are not written in ways that you cannot believe the story. It feels like you could actually know them. (Hope that makes sense) 2. World is built really well, you can picture the places being spoken of, and if you know you know. 3. THERE IS ACTUAL STORY!!! Why does this excite me you ask? Because in most of the RH's the story is the same- Hi nice to meet you, HUMP HUMP, yeah I hate you, HUMP HUMP, no I love you, HUMP, HUMP, oh hey someone was mean to me, HUMP HUMP...The End. While I LOVE me some smut I also like when there is a story that draws me in. This book does that, it gives good story too. And the smut is HAWT... like HELLO!!!! 4. All the guys are their own people. When they speak you know who it is, you do not need a reference. I love that. 5. Angel is the very definition of snark. She has ZERO fucks to give and we love her for it.
I am stopping at 5 because if I continue- I will spoil the whole damn thing. SO, it is best to quit! LOL Go grab this book today!
DNFed I had high hope for this as a MC books lover But the h is so childish and pathetic no way 4 guys should fall for her But i continued till i reached the point where she allowed the father of one of the guys to have oral sex with her just after her son broke her virginiry WTF!! THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN FOR SMUT ONLY IN MIND no plot or character developement will be gained from it AND THE WRITING!!!!! As if it was written by a 12 year old who just saw their first 18+ movie behind their parents back and wanted to document their experience But damn rhe covers of these books were good
Phenomenal Debut!!! Can I swap places with Angel? The guys seriously care for this woman something fierce and while I wanted to pretty much throat punch all of them the majority of the time I get why they did what they did but that still doesn’t take away they hurt and pain they caused Angel. Angel is seriously a baddie that I completely fell in love with. This author has a way of grabbing you by the balls and just doesn’t let go. This story was well written, action packed, full of spice and an emotional roller coaster ride to say the least. Prepare yourself for one wild AF ride and maybe even finding yourself with the HOTS that you should absolutely not have them for *winks* if you know you know… I can’t wait to see where this author takes us next.
“You think you’ve got what it takes to claim me, Dante? Hmm, I don’t know about all that, but I damn sure want to see you try.”
My poor heart. I wasn’t ready for that ending. I was so enthralled with the story I didn’t realize where I was until it said epilogue and I was ready to fight.
Angel is a rough character. She’s so broken but so strong at the same time. Her confusion with all the situations going on around her makes me feel sorry for her. There were a couple moments where I just wanted to roll my eyes at her because she was just so whiney about her guys but I realized it’s probably how I would react too.
Ashlee this story was beautifully written and executed. I felt all the emotions and the scenes and situations felt so real.
A reverse harem in a MC setting, a fierce Angel and her childhood friends and loves, Dante, Lucky, Jaxon, and Royal deal with MC club rivalry and forced separation in the evolving of their relationship. Fairly fast pace, it was an appealing story. At the same time, it lacked some depth, and I couldn’t feel a strong connection or attraction between the characters. Very little sexual tension or character build up, even in the rapport among friends. I recognized the intention, though the writing style in telling rather than showing and insufficient character development failed to render a lot of the emotional connection I’m sure the story wanted to convey.
Multiple first person points of view, it was entertaining, a MC plot line with a bit of intrigue and spice, and twists. I am interested in reading book 2.
This is the debut novel from Ashlee, and it's definitely a great read.
Angel is one lucky lady with all the male attention she gets from her guys but she's also fierce, strong and a complete badass which I loved. I will say, I don't normally instantly have a favourite when it comes to RH but Gabriel for me was just exactly what I love in a bad man. He's strong, rude, and just sounds completely hot when you read about him.😂
This is book one in the Reapers Of Havoc series and I'm interested to see where she goes with this series!
This book was amazing. I could not put it down no matter what. It moves along at a pace which is perfect for the story has amazing characters that you can't help but love and a story that does not disappoint. This is a must read.
Twisted Souls by Ashlee M. Edmonds is a dark MC reverse harem romance. This is the first book in the Reapers of Havoc MC series.
The book comes with a caution: "Please be advised this series contains a lot of dark content, graphic sex scenes and harsh language. This book is recommended for 18 and older. If dark content triggers you then this book is not for you. Otherwise, happy reading."
This is Ashlee's debut novel and she knocked it out of the park. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Angel, Lucky, Jaxon, Dante, and Gabriel is off the charts! I loved getting all of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The cliffhanger left me begging for more! I can't wait for the next book in the series Savage Hearts to be released on February 6, 2022.
I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances, reverse harems, motorcycle club romances, or romantic suspense.
================== I originally read the book when it was first released and was so excited when I saw it was coming to audio. Oliver and Juniper did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
This debut book is fantastic. I'm blown away with how this one turned out. It has an amazing storyline and it is well written. This read just grabs ahold of you right from the beginning, keeping you on the edge of your seat, needing to know more and wanting to find out what's next. There's action, suspense, twists, and turns. You'll be taken for a spin as it all unfolds. It's a read that'll take you by surprise. You never know what might or might not happen. It's a must read that dosen't disappoint. I'd highly recommend reading.
Angel is a rough character with a rough history. She's broken, but strong because of it, and her character gives you reason to believe you can be just as strong broken as you can whole.
The love interests she has are incredibly steamy, and the scenes she shares are beyond fire. I loved the authors ability to take the steam and a great plot, and give us this incredible book.
I was NOT prepared for that ending, so book two needs to hurry!
I hardly give 1 stars. But, this book was not thought out.
From the blurb it sounded interesting. The start of the book was one big info dump as they say, and then you have the main girl basically assaulted but "liking it" so that makes it okay- because she did it to save her mom? But, then she goes on to have feelings for the guy who is her friends dad. ew.
Besides that the characters are boring and the whole plot is just weak. I just don't get it.
Great debut by Ashlee Edmond. Full of intrigue, mystery, and hot steamy guys. Lucky, Jaxon, and Royal and Dante, all grew up together. Outside forces put a strain on their relationship. Angel is snarky and fierce. Gabriel may be the “bad” guy but he’s so delicious, just gah 🥵🥵🥵 Definitely my fave! Looking forward to see what else Ashlee comes up with, and what’s next for the MCs!
I was not expecting that ending. Angel’s best friends are in MCs. Three are in the Reapers and one is in the Sons (rival MCs). All four of the guys are in love with Angel, but none of them are together because she won’t choose just one of them.
Angel is a fun, fearless FMC. Unfortunately, she trusts the wrong people in the end. She has abandonment issues when it comes to the guys. It seems like Royal, Lucky, Jaxon and Dante choose their MCs over her.
All the guys do seem to be head over heels with Angel. They just have no clue how to navigate making a relationship work. It is hinted at that they will have a HEA (at some point). Out of all the guys, Royal is my favorite. He does take a HUGE stand against the MC for Angel. It was a very satisfying moment.
Overall - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, I was pleasantly surprised with this story. It took a little bit for me to be sucked in but by the end I was invested. The ending surprised me and I’m ready to read the second book (I need answers - what is Gabriel’s end game?!? Why does he hate King?!?)
Holy hell! Ashlee Edmonds sure knows how to deliver quite the punch with Twisted Souls, the first book in her Reapers of Havoc MC series! This was my first time reading Edmonds and I am officially sold! The storyline was well developed and the characters were well created—and that twist?!? I never saw that coming!!!
Full of suspense, betrayals, twists and turns and a cliffhanger that leaves you screaming for more, this book is a definite must read and I can’t wait for book 2! If you’re a fan of dark MC RHs where the FMC is snarky as hell, and the good guys aren’t always good and the villains may be the ones you want to keep you warm at night then grab this bad boy for yourself now!
I had to DNF. This book made me feel like I was living in a fever dream. It started out pretty okay. I personally didn’t like the heroine she was annoying, weak, and just downright poorly written. The hero’s were bland and half the book they were gone and honestly the pacing for this whole book was very weird. I personally tapped out when they brought in one of the main characters father into the equation. Now I’m not a prude by any means but when a character is set up to be a villian he should follow through. Try this book if you’re looking for a bare minimum plot and a lot of smut.
Twisted Souls is the amazing debut book by Ashlee M. Edmonds.
I loved the storyline and the characters. Angel is fierce, sassy and maybe a little psycho but only when it comes to the men in her life. Royal, Jaxton, Lucky and Dante are hot as sin MC’s that grew up with Angel and all love her and are protective of her. There is action, mystery, betrayal and plenty of steam is this book. If you are a fan of MC romance, friends to lovers, reverse harem and dark romance then I highly recommend reading this amazing book!
I really enjoyed this book. Angel is best friends with some of the guys from the Reapers. Her other friend is the son of the president of the rival gang. Dante left Angel and all the guys. They move on without him. Then one day the other guys disappear. Angel tries to find them. Then she gets caught up in the war between the two gangs. Will Angel find her guys? Will the two MCs go to war? Read the book to find out.
This was my first read by Ashlee Edmonds. I had high hopes for the book based on the summary. I have to admit, some of the writing didn't sit well with me. I think just some of the "lingo" used seemed juvenile at best. The whole "badussy" section for instance. BUT there were other areas of the book that were amazing. I highlighted quite a few quotes that did effect me.
Twisted Souls is a motorcycle club reverse harem with FMC Angel. The book features some friends to lover, some forbidden aspects, and I'd label this as a fairly slow-burn in terms of the reverse harem aspect. Angel definitely has bad-ass vibes and is no nonsense. So if you're looking for a reverse harem with a strong, kickass FMC, this would be for you.
I will absolutely read the next book in the series to see what happens next as this book was left on a definite cliffhanger!
The story was interesting and it was a quick read, but it could've been so much better. I have gone back and forth between 2 and 3 stars five different times now.
I have no idea what anyone looks like except for Angel. I honestly couldn't tell you if physical descriptions were completely omitted or if they appeared for 2 seconds. If the author is trying to have readers come up with their own ideas, we should have SOMETHING to work with if there's nothing there. If there IS, it definitely wasn't enough. I also have no idea what age they're all supposed to be. The timeline in the story keeps jumping back and forth and I had no idea that she hadn't seen Dante in 2 years until Angel flat out said it. The way it seemed was like all the friends had just lost contact with Dante and were still reeling from losing him. Literally months without seeing him, not 2 whole years.
My biggest issue with this was Angel. She is introduced as a badass chick who is best friends with 4 guys who are going to be in biker gangs. You would think they would've helped her learn how to defend herself since she's in their dangerous world. So her first encounter with Gabriel in her room should've gone down differently. Even if she wouldn't have been able to change what happens in the scene, if she REALLY hates this man, no amount of good orgasms would've stopped her from getting a gun or a knife to defend herself from someone coming into her room again or telling her friends. If you hate someone and learn that they have snuck into your house more than that one time, there's no way you don't get yourself a weapon to defend yourself. There's also no way she wouldn't tell them what happened if she really hated Gabriel. That was so annoying, out of nowhere attraction that makes no sense, and such a let down.
A badass woman either defends herself or asks for help from people who can help her. I understand her not telling Dante because it's his father, but not telling the rest of them? Especially after Lucky asks her? It was beyond ridiculous. If she owned the moment to enjoy it, then she shouldn't feel shame for doing that and feel like she will be judged by her friends by telling them what happened. You can't help physical responses, she took the situation and made it pleasurable for herself, so why is she ashamed about it after? If Gabriel was meant to be a partner choice from the beginning, there should've been more interactions between them. If you establish that she hates him, why would that change completely just from 1 forced encounter regardless of her enjoying it? If something was needed to be a catalyst for her argument with Lucky in front of the clubhouse, it could've been from something else easily.
I will also just state now that I have no triggers and I read plenty of Dark Romance. That Gabriel scene is super lightweight compared to what I've read and enjoyed. So if Gabriel was a planned interest, that should've been shown more from the beginning. If you establish that the FMC hates him for what he's done to Dante, who she actually loves, there's no reason for her to turn around and start to develop feelings for Gabriel simply because he's good looking and licked her towards a great orgasm. It's basically showing that her supposed feelings for Dante, and by extension the other 3, don't mean much when she doesn't fight Gabriel or tell them what the hell happened. Yes, you can have characters that annoy readers, but they should move forward towards their character arc or progression, not backwards. They're supposed to grow, not regress.
I also hated the weird use of slang and changed curse words. If a character is going to curse, just use the actual word. Though this point if personal preference, but it detracted from the story for me on top of the other problems I mentioned.
I really wanted it to get better because the storyline was interesting. I was left wanting more and not in a good way.

I'm really excited to read more by this new author. This is a truly well written book with believable characters and an engaging plot that grabbed me from the get go. I don't want to say too much as that will give the plot away, however initially the 4 guys and Angel start out as a group of best friends, that is until things start to become more than just friendly. What I liked was that we didn't just start out with everyone jumping in the sack, there is in fact a complex story here and it's only just started. I can't wait for the next book in the series to see where this will go.
NB: there is a warning in the blurb about this book warning of triggers, take note as this is an adult read not flowers and soft romance.
Angel is our fmc, best friends with four boys, Lucky, Jax, Royal and Dante. When they are split by two rival MC's. Dante is the first to leave her. Two years later Lucky, Jax, and Royal disappear from her life. After months of trying to find them she decides to move on. Broken but not beaten she goes about her life with her bestie who happens to be Lucky's sister when Dante strolls back into her life throwing it into turmoil. Followed a couple days later by the other three. When their worlds collide and the rivalry of the mcs come to head can they all survive the hell of a ride they have taken or will the deal with the devil that someone took lead into a bigger trap. The heat in this book is insane, the level of intense situations is enough to keep you wanting more. Its a med to fast burn that ends a cliffhanger that leaves you during for more and asking you who was the real devil all along.
“This book was phenomenal! The whole RH and MC what’s pretty attractive since the beginning but Ashlee wrote an incredible world. Not gonna lie there were some intense moments full of angst and fury. I wouldn’t consider this story as dark but that’s just my perception. I guess I’ve read too much darkness that now is somehow normal to me? Anyway, Angel’s story was a pretty one and bad choices have consequences that’s for sure and well it was hard. About her guys, it was so hard reading about it. Don’t get me wrong it was beautifully sad. If you’re into building the relationship kind of story this one is for you, trust me. As an inta-love lover lol this was painfully addictive lol. I can’t wait for the next book!”
This is terrible. Basically Angel has four childhood friends (Jax, Lucky, Royal and Dante), three are prospects in one club and Dante is the son of the leader of the other. All of them want Angel. That I could have got behind, bit of drama and a good reverse harem but then throw in some coerced sex and victim blaming and I hate it. The whole book is not what I thought. SPOILER ALERT
Who else wants Angel? Dante’s (abuse) father Gabriel. The incredibly unhinged leader of the other gang. And the devil in the description.
I don't often read MC books but Ashlee has definitely converted me with this book. From start to finish the book has you hooked. Not wanting to put it down. Angel is a brilliant FMC who is smart, sassy, strong and fierce and doesn't let anyone hold her back. Out of all her guys it's definitely Lucky that has captured my heart. But Gabe is just wow! He is one hell of a devil I wouldn't mind sinking my claws into. I can't wait to see where this series goes. Is book 2 ready yet!? 😁
