At the University of Glasgow, Callum Campbell is the sexy new professor that everyone drools over and somehow Zahra is the lucky girl who not only went bungee jumping with him, but also got to jump into his bed. Of course, that was before she knew he was going to be her professor.
Now Zahra has to pretend their wild night never happened and focus on keeping her coveted spot in the archaeology program. That’s what’s important. She worked her butt off to get here. So forgetting about Callum shouldn’t be too hard, right?
Wrong. So wrong. Callum is not only incredibly hot for a history professor, he’s freakin’ brilliant. And nothing turns Zahra on more than brains. And okay, sure, the abs don’t hurt.
Thankfully, they both agree a line must be drawn and they should remain professional. That is, until Zahra uncovers a mysterious stone that Callum claims holds a prophecy about the return of the fae. Except... the fae aren’t real. Or so Zahra thought.
Racing against time to decode the prophecy and earn top spot in the program, Zahra learns there’s more to Professor Campbell than originally caught her eye. He’s a ba’vonn-shee, an ancient race of blood-drinking fae from the highlands. And by saving the future of the fae, she just might save them both.
USA Today bestselling author A.S. Green lives in chilly Minnesota and spends the all-too-short summers on Lake Superior, which is the muse for her paranormal and contemporary romances. She writes complex characters, action-packed plots, and snarky in-your-face banter. And, of course, loads of steamy love scenes.
When she's not writing romance, she's probably watching Outlander or pleading (unsuccessfully) with her husband to don the kilt she bought him last summer.

He didn’t just want to fuck her; he wanted to consume her. It should have been terrifying, but for the first time in her life, she wanted to be devoured.
5 stars!
I have been waiting to read this book for a few months as the release date kept getting pushed back, so when the ARC finally popped up on my kindle, I had to start it immediately. And I absolutely LOVED Callum and Zahra's love story of second chances and new beginnings, even though there was so much heartbreak and feelings of unworthiness weaved throughout the sweeter moments of acceptance between these two.
The slow but inevitable romance that blossoms between Callum and Zahra was beautifully written, and I love how Green wrote a messy and complicated love story between two broken characters who yearned for love. It was so nice seeing Alex, Ainsley, Knox, Blaire, and the rest of the Campbell clan happy and relatively safe, and I am so stoked for Alistair's book next! These books can be read as standalones, but I would highly recommend going back and starting with BLOOD RUSH as the story arcs continue and blend throughout the series ♡
My Callum, ready to jump into the unknown with his intended mate...

This is a well written book with an intriguing story line along with a cast of strong characters in Callum and Zahra's second chance at love. The author does a fantastic job building the story and pulled me in with the history and had me glued to the pages with all the action and romance. She moves the story quickly and smoothly with perfectly painted scenes and delivers another terrific paranormal romance. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Oh the romance of a fated mate! Can there be anything more enticing? The very idea pulls the strings on our longing to belong. Add in the beauty and mystery of a paranormal world, and I, for one, am hooked! Can’t wait for book 4! When’s that going to be, by the way?
Lessons in feeling alive and living again Blood Lessons: Highland Blood Fae Book 3 by A. S. Green is an exciting paranormal romance with lessons in the Fae world as well as living your best life. Callum and Zahra are both grieving in their own ways. While Callum trudges through his days, Zahra is constantly moving and experiencing everything she can. I really enjoyed these characters because of their differences (of which there are many!) but also for the ways they complement one another despite those differences. When all is said and done, these two have more in common than not and resisting their natural pull to one another is simply futile and heartbreakingly painful. The plot was very exciting and a bit thrilling as Callum and Zahra have a mystery to solve. I love Zahra’s brilliant mind as well as Callum’s ability to see how bright she shines. They play off one another’s ideas and theories in dialogue that I found captivating. The plot is further driven by Zahra’s drive to honor her father with her academic accomplishments. What I found most intriguing is the twists this author brings to the series, promising more excitement and romance for this clan of blood Fae. Overall, Blood Lessons got my blood pumping from the excitement of discovery of the archeology and romantic kind and was thrilled with Zahra and Callum’s HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "BLOOD LESSON" What a thrilling adventure this story takes you on full of intrigue, suspense, mystery, action, secrets, passion, heartache, twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Zahra has worked hard to get into the her coveted archaeology program to ruin by having a night with Callum so niw she'll focus on what's important but it's not easy to forget the brilliant gorgeous professor she has to work with. Callum is drawn to Zahara so much so he accidently marks her with his claiming scent but they are taboo I live the chemistry between these two. Zahara & Callum work together to decode the prophecy stone that could return the fae there are things about him she doesn't really know will they get their HEA. I definitely recommend to get this thrilling, exciting, captivating, heart pounding read you can't put down the twists that lead you to the next book which can't come soon enough. AWESOME READ!!!!
She has a thirst for living life to the fullest with no regrets, he has a broken heart and a reluctance to get hurt again after the tragedy of losing his first love. Add in a relationship that is a bit complicated and you have the recipe for one of the best books released this year! The author did a magnificent job of writing a complicated tale of love and discovery between two completely relatable characters.

I missed book 2 in this series so luckily for me these books can be read as standalones each book has a different couple and this is Callum’s and Zahra’s story. A professor and his student spend the night together after a thrilling bungee jump but they didn’t know what they were to each other until Zahra turns up in Callum’s class. I loved this story and the characters and the chemistry between these two characters was 🔥🔥🔥 I can’t wait to read more and I highly recommend this book. 5 plus ⭐️.
This is the story of Callum and Zahra. He’s a professor and she’s his student and had one night together before school had started and she found out he was her teacher! They want to be professional but after she finds a stone that has a prophecy about the return of the fae all bests are off! They have to work together to find out all they can to see where this all will lead. She finds out things about him that surprises her. Will they get the answers they need?

this was an enjoyable romp and a new sort of paranormal creature for me. I really enjoyed this one. I will have to look up more from this author. There is about 2 steamy scenes. There is a secret teacher-student relationship at one point and there is a large age gap. The FMC doesn't scream young until a few of her actions.

Callum was nearly to the exit when a voice called out behind him, “Excuse me, sir?”
He turned to find the waitress standing right behind him. She was slightly pale with a meek expression, reminding him of a small brown mouse. Once upon a time, she would have been exactly his type. Not anymore.
But tonight he wasn’t up for a challenge. He needed easy. He needed to feed. He needed to wipe all thoughts of Zahra clean from his mind.
She held out his cell phone. “You left this on the table.”
Callum stared at her neck for a long second, suddenly feeling very tired and incredibly old. It wouldn't be the blood he wanted, but it was the blood that would have to do.
A awesome story. The trials and tribulations Callum put him self through. (I just shake my head.) I enjoyed the story and the interplay of the others in the Clan and also Zahra's flat mates. I would like to know what will happen to Zahra a her ambition to be an archaeologist. Maybe in the next book it will tell us. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is book 3 in the Highland Blood Fae series. The story is compelling and engrossing story that is filled with heartbreak and raw emotions. This is well written and worth reading. The pacing is smooth and fast. I really enjoyed this paranormal, second chance romance.

I loved reading this book. Once I started I was drawn in and couldn't wait to find out what happened next. I loved how Zahra decided to always live her life to the fullest after her father died. I am glad that Calllum was able to see moving past Ellen was good. I love these two together and they had their ups and downs. I also loved having the mystery of the stone. I can't wait to find out what happens next. I received an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
Told in a duel point of view, Blood Lessons, was a exciting romantic adventure that takes place in the heart of Scotland. When Zahra is placed in an archeology program in Glasgow, she is introduced to a new world she couldn't have imagined. Callum is inexplicably drawn to Zahra, to the point where he accidently marks her with his claiming scent. Add to all that, the fact that he's her professor, and their taboo relationship gets rather steamy. There is a bit of fae mystery in an archeological find Zahra's team unearths at a dig site, a budding romance to navigate and a little "friendly" competition between the students in the program.
All in all, this was an intriguing read that kept me invested to the end. The writing style was enjoyable and the duel POV is always a favorite of mine.

This is an age gap paranormal romance about Callum the sexy new professor and Zahra, they spent some incredible time together in his bed before either of them realised he was going to be her professor at the University of Glasgow next term.
She's so eager to live life to the fullest whilst he's reluctant to get involved with anyone having lost his first love to tragedy. Their relationship is somewhat complicated but the author did a magnificent job writing their tale of love and discovery. The characters are well-drawn and interesting, they are easy to relatable to and you really want them to have a HEA, but will they?
Blood Lessons is the third instalment in an enjoyable series where all the books can be read as stand-alone stories.
Zahra and Callum have a one night stand thinking it was one time and just for fun and would never see each other again. On her first day of classes at the University she finds out Callum is one of her professors. They were determined to keep things professional until she finds a stone that Callum says holds a prophecy about the return of the fae and things take an interesting turn. Blood Lessons has a captivating storyline and this page turning story held my attention from beginning to end. I definitely recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone looking for a great paranormal read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
In a race against an enemy so devious, only a risk-taking adventurer and a mysterious professor can solve the drama. Zahra's lust for life is larger than can be contained in her frame. Finding one who can fulfil her needs, become companion to her desires and encourage her in her dreams may be even more rare than the mythical ba’vonn-shee. But when the unexpected relationship becomes more than just a light-hearted fling, and the rarity becomes reality, can she put aside all preconceptions and fight through those that demand she stop?
I always love to read series because you become invested in character paths of growth. I loved seeing Callum find love again after his introduction in the previous book in this series. Zahra is spicy and adventurous and I adore that she found Callum and pulled him back into living. I am breathlessly awaiting the next book in the series.

Zahra is a risk taker, a dare devil. She jumped at the chance to work in Scotland for archeology. Meantime she happens to see her friend from the United States. Callum is out with them and he seems to have some attraction to Zahra. Come to find out she is in one of his classes. Callum is reluctant to pursue anything because of his past. Can they come to an understanding? Lots more happens before hand. Good read.
Book 3 of this thrilling addictive series, is Callum and Zahra’s journey. Whether they like it or not they are drawn to each other. Can they unfold the mystery of the prophecy and will the Fae return? I’m definitely looking forward to what’s in the next instalment. This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy
This is a new author to me and she has gained a new fan. Love her way of writing and the world she created just takes you. Story it’s wonderfully written and characters are hate to love and love to hate combination in my opinion. Definitely a must read.
