She's my best friend's daughter, half my age, totally off limits... I'm her grumpy new boss.

It's been years since I've seen her, but I could never forget her.
The tilt at the end of her nose.
The dimple in her chin. Those big blue eyes.
The way she flips her long, icy blonde hair over her shoulder...

My heart skips a beat in my chest.
It's my best friend's daughter, all grown up.
All grown up? What is she? All of nineteen or twenty?

I can't leave her on that pole.
I tell her to come down. She has other ideas.
Her naughtiness earns her an onstage punishment.
I make her crawl across the floor to collect the dollars.

Then I make her an offer.
I'll be her grumpy new boss.
She'll be my personal assistant.

What could go wrong? Other than her turning my entire office pink?

ALICE, TUMBLING DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

The Bachman legacy continues with a few new twists. Anyone who has read Ms. Shanna Handel’s stories revolving around the Bachman clan will understand. For those who haven’t, enough of the Bachman standards are laid out in the story that you won’t feel left out. While the Bachman family has many businesses, some employees are not Bachman; it is a standard that people strive to achieve. One of the most coveted is to become a Bachman Beauty, but that is by marriage to a Bachman man.

Lang Bachman doesn’t have the time for relationships. Of course, he occasionally will have a girl on his arm, but no romantic relationships. Lang, Christian, and Troy were best friends and recently lost Christian to cancer. He has only checked in with Troy a few times. Lang has drowned himself in work, and running a Reality Entertainment keeps him busy—but he is always scouting for possible talent for the next reality show. What a shock to be at Tag-A-Longs Strip Club and see Troy’s daughter, Winter, on stage strutting her stuff.

Winter: You want a private dance?
Lang: No. I want you to get off my stage. Now.
Winter: No, I’m gonna make it rain.
Lang: I said. Get down.
Winter: I told you, I have to work. I’m gonna make it rain.
Lang: Get. Down. I’m going to make it rain. My hand raining down on your ass.
Winter: Nice chatting, but I gotta work.
Lang: You never were a good listener, were you? This isn’t the first time I’ve had to spank you.

The story has mystery, suspense, danger, a stalker, and trouble. Lang doesn’t want to tell Troy about Winter, but he can’t just let her go. She has dropped out of college, is sneaking around, and is very secretive, there is more going on than she will admit. There is just something about Winter that gets under Lang’s skin. She may be an adult, almost twenty-one, but she is still half his age—and his friend’s daughter. Maybe by giving her a job and a safe place to stay, he can keep an eye on her and learn what is going on. Lang is a serious person; you don’t cross a line with him, respect his personal space, and do your job well. Once Winter enters his world, she turns it upside down, pulling pranks and keeping Lang on his toes. At his home, she cooks and carries on conversations. Around Winter, it isn’t all work—but has he crossed the line with rules and discipline? It doesn’t take long for them to become lovers—and she craves his dominance. Even the other key employees at Reality Entertainment realize that Winter is an asset with great ideas and moxie for the stunts she pulls.

“You’ve got grit. And I get the feeling you can give it as well as you can take it.”

I love the chemistry between Lang and Winter. It is an unconventional relationship, definitely a May-December romance, but for them, it works. They never intended to become involved, but fate and attraction were strong. Winter may be half Lang’s age, but she is mature, and once she learns to trust him, submitting to him, they find their happy medium.

The story has so much more—including the un-wedding of Rich and Amena from Rich As Sin. While the story does not end on a cliffhanger, it does segue into the next story, that of West, the newest Bachman we meet in Make it Rain, in Billionaire’s Pregnancy.

This is the umpteenth book set in the world of the Bachmans: über-wealthy, über-powerful, quasi-criminal (the "good" kind of criminal) men and the women they love. I've dipped in and out of the series so recognized some names, but not others. The relationship, however, is a standalone. Here we get Winter, desperate for money, and her father's best friend, willing to help her without knowing why. Will her secret destroy their budding relationship? Those who like the older man/younger woman and grumpy meets sunshine tropes will enjoy this.

Although I always appreciate this author's humor and facility with dialogue, I stopped reading some time ago because while I did like some, too often I didn't like others. Thank heaven this is in the former category, with none of the problems I've had with some aspects of the series. The fact that no self-entitled white woman loudly proclaims that feminism was discovered just so she can engage in a little spanky-panky with no guilt is one very big plus. I really liked Winter, who is intelligent, hard-working, and self-sufficient. Too often, I've found this series coercive with the men over-bearing and disrespectful towards the women they claim to care for. That is not the case here. Except for at the beginning, Lang is careful to get Winter's consent; he appreciates and encourages what she can bring to his company; and he always has her best interests at heart. I also appreciated that the relationship was more equal than the others: while it's true that Lang does a lot for Winter economically, she helps him emotionally by re-awakening his sense of fun.

I do have some quibbles: as is usual with these books, you have to accept the huge inconsistency that these hyper-protective men would expose their women in public. I was bothered that the narrative kept putting education down, as though college is useless and anyone who goes is stupid (at one point, Winter is deemed "too bright" for college). I don't think college is for everyone and that not all jobs should require it, but I mean, really, is it that pointless? My students would like a word... Finally, I felt that Winter . But, I do understand that Ms. Handel is super-invested in fantasy: billionaire porn, Cinderella porn, insta-love porn, you name it. Actually depicting real conflict and psychological damage is not part of her brand.

3 stars. I would have rated this more highly, but spanking children is a hard limit for me. There is a teaser for the next book, which seems atypical for this series.

3/5 - Book #4 of Beauty and the Billionaires Series; Available on Kindle Unlimited

This book gave me a lot of the same vibes as ‘Cash is King’ but fell a little bit shorter in the romance and story line. All of the books are fast paced and not detail heavy, which leaves me feeling meh over the series in general.

Brief Plot: Lang, the owner of a Reality Entertainment company, sees his friends daughter, Winter, dancing at his strip club. So he punishes her, takes her off the stage, and gives her a job as his personal assistant. But while there’s a major age gap, the two find comfort and support in one another. Except for Winter keeping a major secret as to why she started dancing and quit college.

This is my first book by Shanna Handel and it will not be my last. For starters I love an age gap romance and this on did not let me down. Lang and Winter are made for each other, even though Lang is her father's best friend. These two have instant chemistry that just jumps off the page. What starts as a simple offer to help Winter turns into so much more. I loved that we see Lang also have some insecurities as well for a while but works through them with little drama. This book is a must read I could not put it down.

it was okay? I don't know i found the plotline quite boring. it had potential but I didn't particularly find myself interested in what was happening in the book. the tropes in this book were fun i just think they could've had a lot more added to it. I also found myself a little confused abt the fact that winter can dissappear and her father does not seem to care, yet was so enraged after hearing that his best friend is dating her (which was valid).

A wonderful Bachman and Beauties read, wonderful plot and character
Lang had seen the young woman dancing on the stage when he suddenly realised that he recognised the blond hair and the dimple in the chin, it’s Winter the daughter of his long-term best friend who believed her to be currently working as a waitress.
Lang had decided as he physically removed her from the pole and the stage that she needed a serious backside smacking and he had taken this action diligently. Then he decided that he was going to offer a job working in his company as his replacement Personal Assistant as his old one had just left.
Winter completely blew him away she turned his world upside down and even though he did not initially want to admit it, she brought a smile back to his face and a lightness to his life and a reason for getting up every day since she arrived.
Then as the story continued and as they the couple continued their relationship and the employment and her contribution to the company continued to grow, I guarantee that from start to finish you will enjoy every single moment of this wonderful read.
Also, as another simply wonderful surprise is the fact that the Beauties and Billionaires is to continue with a new stand-alone series which I cannot wait to start reading.
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Make It Rain is the fourth book in the Beauties and Billionaires series, but can be read alone. Lang is just going through the motions when he stumbles upon his best friend’s daughter dancing on a pole. He immediately takes over her life, needing to keep her safe, wanting to watch her thrive, and desiring to be part of her life. But Winter is hiding some secrets, and she’s so young compared to him. Can they become a power couple of love, or are there too many obstacles between them?

Wow, this book really starts off with a bang and just keeps going! Lang and Winter really stole the show and I adored their relationship. I loved how strong and dominant both main characters were, how they needed to learn to give and take, and how they both wanted so much, but were almost afraid to reach out to take it. Winter is this really fun dichotomy between being sassy and scared, a powerhouse in her job, but submissive in the bedroom. I liked that she knew what power she could hold and knew that she could take care of herself, but she wanted help and guidance and love and support. Lang was perfect for her because he was all of that for her. He gave her boundaries, made sure she stayed safe, but also treasured her, spoiled her, and gave her everything she needed. I loved how they trusted each other, in and out of the bedroom, and I loved that they quickly learned that they could rely on one another. This book was fun, filled with little bits of drama here and there, but the focus of the book was heavy on the couple and how their relationship develops. I have been enjoying this series and look forward to what Ms. Handel will write next!

I have read almost all of Shanna Handel's books, and "Make it Rain" is now at the top of the list of her books that I love. This is an age gap story between free spirit Winter and strait laced Lang. After finding the daughter of his best friend dancing at a strip club, Lang decides to take Winter in hand. He brings her to his home, gives her a job as his assistant and sets up rules for her to follow. He just never dreamed she will turn his organized, boring life upside down.
Winter is craving rules and boundaries. As a young child she had to take care of herself due to her father suffering from depression. Because of some bad choices she had made in the past, she had to quit college in order to make as much money as possible. Even though Lang knows that getting involved with Winter is wrong because she's so much younger than him and her being his best friend's daughter, he can't stop himself from falling in love with her. Winter bacomes his everything and he would do anything in his power to make her safe and happy. He is the boyfriend dreams are made of!
That doesn't mean Winter won't get punished when she gets herself in trouble; the punishment scene toward the end of the book is so hot, my kindle almost melted!
Winter is everything Lang needed in his life, she brings him joy and laughter. She's strong, sassy and unpredictable, just what the doctor had ordered. Lang is protective, possessive and a make you swoon alpha H. They are a great match and their story is so fun to read. I loved this book and was sorry to reach the end.

I absolutely love the Bachmans! I can't get enough of them! Shanna didn't disappoint with this book at all. I fell for Lang and Winter right away.

I love that Lang is a strong, possessive man! He wants to help Winter but in the beginning he thinks he is doing it because she is his best friend's daughter. There is something about the young girl that makes Lang want to have a little bit more fun and be a little less grumpy. He is a rich Bachman and didn't think he needed a woman in his life. He is certainly not afraid to take her over his knee and give her a good spanking for breaking his rules. Lang does everything in his power to make sure she is safe and happy.

Winter is gorgeous young woman that is kind of running from her past. Then her dad's best friend shows up and gives her a public spanking for telling him no. Then he gives her a better job working for him at his Entertainment company. She thinks that he is too grumpy so she does little silly pranks to his office to get him to be less grumpy. Winter wants to do amazing at her job and maybe move up in the business.

But will she be able to trust Lang with her secrets? Will he be able to save her and keep her safe from it? Will she get to find happiness where she is at? Is Lang willing to put his long friendship at risk for a chance at happiness?

These two have an amazing love story. I loved reading it. I could have read it in one sitting it was so good.

The smut was amazing between these two. There is punishment in this book, so spanking and the use of toys.

Where do I start! I can't tell you much I love this series. I count down the
hours until a new Bachman-themed book is released. You're guarante
a unique and entertaining story with likable characters, also a glimpse
of how an unconventional relationship can work. The intimacy between
Lang and Winter was smoking hot. The laugh-out-loud humor was on
another level but was balanced with the realization that their taboo
relationship could never work, leaving them questioning their future.

Lang was not prepared to allow Winter to continue dancing, and she soon
found herself working as his assistant and living in his home. It did not
take long for Lang to change his tune and claim Winter despite their age
difference and his relationship with her father. Lang struggled with his
conscience, but he could no longer deny his feelings for Winter. I admired
how he embraced the light she brought into his stuffy world while
remaining an unapologetic alpha with a strong dominant streak.

Winter was full of sass and mischief, but I loved her intelligence and love
for life. She wormed her way into Lang’s heart, lapping up the discipline
and security she craved. She loved to push Lang's buttons, but the
outcome was not always favorable.

This couple's journey was well crafted, with pitfalls and peaks. If it's pure
entertainment you are after, this is the book for you. It's filled with
heart, soul, and magic.

Ms. Handel continues to find new and exciting ways for Bachman men to meet, court and love uniquely individual ladies. This time around it is Lang’s story and involves not only an employee (a stripper no less), but a woman less than half his age, and to top it off…, the daughter of one of his best friends. A recipe for disaster that turns into a romance for the ages. Winter is wickedly smart and has a ton of self-confidence for such a young women and she is full of sass. Lang on the other hand has little to no tolerance for sass (nor anything fun for that matter) so clashes are sure to happen and you know what Bachman men do then. Winter receives her first spanking on their first encounter and is shocked to discover that she likes it! The story takes us on a whirlwind trip with twists and turns that keep you turning the pages. Winter has money problems, Lang solves them. Winter has a stalker, Lang and the Bachman clan takes him out of play. Winter tells her dad about her and Lang, well that one is a bit more complicated. Just so much going on and I haven’t even mentioned the discipline and sex. There’s a reference to comfort food in the story and it struck a chord with me, the Bachman stories are like a comfort food that satisfies the kink hunger in all of us. They’re hot as hell and they really make you feel good. 5 Stars.

'Make it Rain' is the fourth book in Shanna Handel's "Beauties and Billionaires" series and once again, I'm going to sing her praises. The Bachman world, with its very alpha, dominant men and their vibrant, effervescent beauties, continues to suck me in with this newest book. This time we meet Lang, the extremely dominant, strict Bachman who is in charge of Bachman Entertainment, with all its trashy reality television shows, and a strip club. He's part of the Bachman brotherhood but usually on the sidelines looking in without participating. As a matter of fact, his last personal assistant told him, among other things, that he was grumpy right before she quit.
Winter is the daughter of one of his best friends, and I use the term loosely. So many things have happened in the man's life the men have not been in touch for some time. Lang almost didn't recognize the woman dancing on the pole at his club until he saw her eyes. Then he couldn't believe it! There was no way he could allow her to be on stage dancing. The chain of events is just an explosion of feelings throughout the book. I laughed in parts until it made my sides hurt and then there were scenes that were so hawt they could literally blister my fingers turning the pages of my Kindle. Each carries personal baggage they need to overcome but it was beautiful watching both of these characters grow within themselves and as a couple. I'm so looking forward to West's story.

Make It Rain was my first Shanna Handel book and while it’s not the genre I typically read, I actually really enjoyed it.

I got a bit of 50 Shades of Grey vibe at times - the movies, not the books (the movies, imo are better so I have to make the distinction) - in the whole kind of older, loner billionaire. Then of course, Lang is kind of that dom who has to control every situation while also fighting all of his emotions. The twist, of course, is that Winter is much younger AND his best friends daughter.

I love Winter. Kind hearted soul that she is, she only winds up in the situation that put her in Langs path because she was trying to save someone else. The pranks she pulls on Lang makes me laugh out loud! She tries so hard to be this independent young women but with everything going on it’s nearly impossible. And who wouldn’t accept the gifts Lang was offering? But I do have to point out, who doesn’t know Pretty Woman?! I honestly need to make sure my kid watches that movie because that is a classic! Though, admittedly, I’ve never watched Die Hard in it’s entirety so who am I to judge?

All in all, I give Make it Rain 5 stars. This book pushed me out of my comfort zone, it’s not my normal read. But it was well written and has a good story! I might even read the next in the series!

I swear I’ve never read a book by Shanna Handel that disappoints. Make it Rain is no different! This is the story of Lang and Winter. Lang is an old friend of Winter’s Dad, Troy. They had a friendship with Christian, who passed away with cancer. Troy was the best father he could be considering he’d lost his wife. Winter got a little lost while he wallowed in grief. She ends up on stage in a strip club Lang happens to own and he recognizes her. There story begins there. He’s 39 and she’s 20. A bit of an age gap, but it so works for this story. Think Pretty Woman! The chemistry between them is off the charts. Winter is hiding a lot from Lang, but he gets the whole story deeper into the book. This was a page turner for me! I can’t resist a Bachman man! As always, Shanna describes the surroundings and landscapes in the story so you feel as if you’re in the story! I highly recommend this book!

Lang and Winter's story is full of angst, frustration, sass, and plenty of heat!

Lang recognizes Winter when she is dancing on a pole at one of his clubs.. and it's in the instant that he realizes who she is (his friends daughter) that he decides he needs to take action... he advises strongly for her to get down off the stage and she decides she doesn't need to listen to his demands... thus starts their reunited work-turned-more-than-work relationship.

Winter is sassy and gives Lang a run for his money.. but he also enjoys that sass and it brings a smile or two that only she can get out of him.

Will Winter's past cause issue in their present and future? Will Winter's dad be okay with his friend sleeping with his daughter?

This was my first read by Shanna and I wasn't disappointed! Looking forward to reading more.. 😉

Wow what a read you love ,suspense, age gap and so much more with this book. Lang is a big hot producer ,and when he is at one of his clubs one he see someone on stage that he knows ,and that should be up their his bestfriend daughter winter showing off more than anyone should see. Winter is in need of money and fast and the only way she knows how to get fast is stripping she just didn't know that the club she be working at would be her dad friend Lang busssiness. Lang and winter have a pretty woman romances where he takes care of her and helps her with her problems he just didn't know that while doing so he would fall for her big time now hard part is going to be telling winters father. I really enjoyed this book and will continue reading the series ,and the line I like a lot was when winter told Lang she was going to make rain and he replied he was going to make it thunder .

Lang finds the daughter of his long time best friends, Winter, dancing at a club. After pulling her out, he gives her a job at his company, not knowing that she may be the one to fix him.

Make It Rain is the first book in this series and sets the pace well for the rest of the series. The author started off strong with Lang and Winter, giving us two characters that you can tell are going to work well together from the first moment they're together.

The plot was good, but there were some points that weren't believable. It's a little weird that the best friend of her dad would yank her off stage. It doesn't seem like a realistic action and could've been handled a little differently to make it more real.

A fun sexy read.
That also is funny with lol scenes.
Lang and Winter are lovable characters with such opposite personalities.
Yet despite this and their age difference they work and fit together perfectly.
He’s grumpy and she’s sunshine.
He’s no nonsense and she’s filled with sass.
He will punish her with spankings and she will find a way to be spanked.
Along with all the sexy and steam the story is also filled with action and suspense.
It’s fast paced and a definite page turner.
I loved getting to know Lang and Winter and enjoyed the time I spent reading their story.
This book was my first read by Ms. Handel and I really liked her writing style.
She gave a perfect blend of lighthearted and suspense.
I look forward to reading more by her ❤️

I absolutely love the Bachman world that Shanna has created. I click on the books the first day they come out on KU. This is an age gap romance between Winter and Lang. He sees her stripping in his club and can't believe his eyes as she is one of his best friend's daughter. She feels powerful, sexy and hot dancing on stage and loves to "make it rain". He fires her, gives her another job and then when he sees where she is living takes her home...things progress from there. Their relationship is taboo but it is hot, super Bachman hot. She finds friends, comfort and security and he finally finds love. I loved both characters and am looking forward the next book.

A fun and engaging romance with a bit of suspense and plenty of sizzling chemistry. I loved reading this book as their relationship grew. I loved that her character seemed mature yet playful which made his life become brighter. The supporting cast was intriguing as well and the next book sounds like another winner is coming our way. A thoroughly enjoyable read which I found highly entertaining, I would expect nothing less from an author who has provided many hours of entertainment with her previous books. This author is on my must read list forever. Great storytelling. Recommend.

Do you want to read a book with an alpha male? Do you want a forbidden romance? Do you love an age gap book? If so read this asap.

Lang is a grumpy boss who likes things his way and only his way until he sees Winter on stage. This girl turned his life upside down. Did he try to fight it well of course but he failed. Winter was 20 but mentally was way more mature. I loved that she did little things to Lang to help him change out of his grump ways. The furniture was probably my favorite.

You do not have to read the others in order to read this one. This is a standalone with a happy ending. I can't wait for West book.

The thing we love the most about these books is how fast paced they are! Plus there is never any drama that keeps the MCs separated for the last 10% of the book, we loathe the miscommunication trope!
The Bachman men know 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 what they want and they aren't afraid to go for it!

Some age gap romances can be super cringey but that was 𝗡𝗢𝗧 the case with Winter and Lang. Winter has been through a lot in her 20 years, and that made her have to grow up quickly. She is very mature and doesn't necessarily need someone to take care of her, but she wants someone to ground her. And Lang is nothing if not grounded! Here we were thinking that no one could claim our hearts more than Cash, but we 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙤𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 Lang. He was ready to step up and take care of everything, as long as it meant he got to keep Winter as his woman!

We absolutely loved the Beauties and Billionaires and can't wait to see what Shanna has in store for the rest of the Bachman world!

What an amazing story! I always love reading a Bachman family story. I love reading anything by Shanna Handel. I couldn’t get enough of Lang and Winter. They were such a fun couple, a true opposite attract story.

Lang reconnects with Winter one night in a place he never expected her to be. She is the daughter of one his best friends. He knows that he can’t have her work there anymore. He offers her a job and never expects that she will turn his life upside down. He maybe a Bachman but Winter is going to give him something he didn’t realize he needed. Will Winter and Lang be able to find their happily ever after together?

I received an ARC from the author/publisher for an honest review.

The Bachman's are EVERYTHING!!!!

Lang Bachman comes to the rescue of his long time (yet distanced) best friends daughter, Winter. I really love how Winter doesn't fight Lang for his help. She's not taking advantage of him but she's not running away with the "I don't need anyone's help" attitude...this is quite refreshing.

I loved how Shanna slipped in multiple situations to keep us interested, and through it all, Lang and Winter were strong as ever.

The age gap was so great, especially with the Pretty Woman reference and all the pranks (and fun) Winter plays on Lang.

I hope the Bachman's never end!

Make it Rain is the 4th book in the Beauties and Billionaires series, and I think the one I enjoyed the most. Winter is the daughter of Lang’s best friend who he finds on stage at one of his clubs striping.
After spanking her he offers her a job and the chemistry between the two keeps growing, with some kink and age gap romance. I have read all the books so I was able to follow along with the names, but I felt some back story would have been nice.

I found Tess’s involvement did not ring true, she always in charge at Rockland's side, so her part of the story felt forced just didn’t make sense with her character.

This couple just captivated me. They are great together and so genuine and likeable. I totally enjoyed what I like to call "the Baughman effect". If you've read any of this series, you know what I mean. It's a way of life, all encompassing, protective, caring, and I comparable. The men put their loved ones on a pedestal, and they try to keep them in their protective bubble. The fun and exciting part is seeing the women unending everything and the men rushing in like white knights to the rescue. Warning: the Baughman's are addictive!!! I loved it.

Shanna Handel's books just keep getting better and better! I loved this book and did not want to put it down at all... A Bachman, check. Spankings and tears, check and check. A cheeky woman to keep her Bachman on his toes, check, check and check :) He was a bit grumpy shall we say, but she knew how to get him and those who worked for him to smile thanks to her various pranks. This was also probably one of the best age gap tales I have read as it did not come across as wrong, just super cute. I can't wait to see what happens with West. Roll on the next book!

I absolutely loved Lang and Winters story.
Lang is winters fathers best friend. One night at his club he sees a beautiful girl on stage. He didn’t know it was winter until she turns and he realizes it’s his best friends daughter. He makes her get off stage she refuses so he takes her over his knee one front of everyone.
Winter was born to be a Beauty and she needed a daddy with a firm hand.
This book does end in a Hea

Winter epitomizes the strong heroine. She has always taken care of herself. Lang is grouchy, growly, strict and regimented, and now he is hers as much as she is his. In other words, he is the perfect billionaire Hero. Something about her softens him. Their story is steamy and sweet all at once, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. While part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. A five star read, it is very one clickable.

Winter made it rain when she was spanked by the strip club owner!

Winter had dropped out of NYU and started working in the strip club but she didn’t know the owner was her dad’s best friend. Lang was in his strip club trying to find new talent for his reality tv shows when he recognized the young lady dancing was his best friends daughter. When he tried to make her get off stage, she refused and he spanked her which the audience made it rain with money. He offered her a job as his personal assistant. When he followed her home to his deceased best friend apart
