3 months ago the world took a turn that no one saw, now people have abilities. The government is afraid of us. They have us isolating from our friends and family if we just have a simple headache. They want to put us into rehabilitation camps, separate us from our families, treat us like trash. When all we want to do is live in peace, to survive without the fear of getting jumped at the end of the block. I'm just a teenager and yet here I am having to leave my home, just so that I won't go into a camp, simply because I'm different. But I won't go quietly.
I really liked this book but I cannot give it five stars. Something that really annoyed me is that Ivy is the only one using her powers. They tell us again and again that this group of the changed have abilities but they never ever use them when it would be useful. I thought it would be really cool to learn what everyone's powers were and see how they would use them together. I really hope that the author can improve this in future novels as besides this, everything was great!
Holy Cow!!!! What a fantastic book! Just like her first book, Fallon keeps her reader’s attention throughout the entire story with twists and turns you don’t see coming!!! Could not put it down and will definitely re read many times!!!!
