Four estranged siblings. A dinner theater in coastal Maine. A second chance for love, friendship, and family.
Ever since the untimely death of their parents more than a decade before, Jake Fuller has felt the weight of taking care of his siblings like a mountain on his shoulders. It was part of what drove him to become a millionaire before the age of thirty…and to move away from Concord Cove when the pressure became too much.
Oh, and he also left after breaking the heart of the most wonderful woman he’s ever known…
After being jerked around by men one too many times, Erica French only has time for two things—her precocious daughter, Deanna, and her dream of opening an arts center for the underserved children of Concord Cove. She doesn’t have time for romantic entanglements, and she certainly doesn’t have time for the man who broke her heart and left Concord Cove.
Too bad that the only person who might be able to help her achieve her dream is Jake…
Will Jake and Erica get their second chance at love? Is Jake the father figure that Deanna has been missing? Or is the temptation to try again just setting themselves up for another heartbreak?
Enjoyed this Story very much! I don't read much in the way of contemporary romance anymore, preferring historical novels, but I must say I really enjoyed this story very much. It has a wonderful cast of characters and the three main ones, Jake, Erica and her daughter, Deanna really made the telling of this story very entertaining with the drama of falling in love again and having to deal with various issues to eventually reach a happy every after. It was also lovely to see the viewpoints and quirpy comments of the nine-year-old, Deanna. Very refreshing. I loved all of this and had fun reading this second episode of 'Concord Cove' very much.
