--

EN B-ichi escapes from prison, and new revelations keep emerging, filling in the narrative gaps and shedding light on past events.

At this point, it’s no longer clear to me which of his two personalities is the real one — if either of them is — but we’re starting to get more clues about the origin of this split identity.

B-ichi remains steadfast in his belief in his father’s innocence and continues determined to prove it.

I legit turned a page and said, "oh shit," out loud. I don't understand how each volume is still so intense. Obviously this is Japanese, but I watch a lot of Korean revenge movies and this series has the exact same kind of twisty thriller feel about it. I'd love to see a live action version.

Estuvo bueno.

Eiji is your typical shy college student trying to find himself, get a pretty girlfriend and cruise through life with no issues. Unfortunately his father was a brutal serial killer that left a stain on his family that follows him around everywhere he goes, and the emergence of a split personality with dark and violent tendencies gets him wrapped up in a murderous conspiracy where his dangerous alter ego seems to be his own worst enemy. Is he doomed to involuntarily follow in his disgraced father’s footsteps?

I thought this series would be a bit predictable considering I’ve seen this type of horror thriller before, but it ended up throwing dozens of unexpected twists at me, none of them being what I predicted given the premise. The truth behind both of Eiji’s personalities ended up being more twisted and complex than I had originally imagined.

What really won me over with this series is how unexpectedly complex and multilayered the entire cast of side characters ended up being. At first, the side characters all seem very simplistic and forgettable with one dimensional character tropes, but almost every single side character ends up having dark secrets of their own that are even more insane than those of the protagonist. Hardly anyone in this story is completely innocent, everyone is involved in the mass murder conspiracy in some way or another and the puzzle keeps getting bigger and bigger until the very end where everything is finally pieced together.

Don’t be deceived by the predictable opening with familiar psychological horror cliches. The series gets more intense, unpredictable and challenging to figure out the longer it goes on and the payoff at the end hits really hard. Eiji is a tragic character that’s easy to hate at times but incredibly sympathetic, the side characters all have fascinating subplots of their own as well. It has a slow build up but gets significantly better with each volume.

This volume felt tighter and better constructed than the last. It still seems to be overly complicated but at least story threads were being explained better and it was much easier to follow. I am still really enjoying the dark vibes of this one.

I'm becoming more and more impressed with how gripping this series is, with a mixture of Stephen King's The Outsider and BBC's Broadchurch, this Thriller Crime Drama is shaping out to be one of the best manga I've read in quite a while!

Another great volume!!! The story keeps getting better and the art is fantastic! (And Eiji’s dad reminds me of Kougami Shinya from Pyscho Pass lol).

It was a little frustrating the way this volume ended but I’m completely addicted to this manga so I’ll start the next one now!

Yeah I didn’t think we’d get a bunch of chapters from LL’s POV but we did and I kinda got bored. I do not think his dad was a murderer and tbh I hope it’s someone we would have never thought of cause I feel like anything else would be disappointing.

I hate kyouka so much, I really hope she has a terrible death for what she did to youko. youko didn't deserve that at all and I hate a bit the fact that there are high chances it wasn't eiji who stabbed kyouka.

L’histoire avance vraiment !!

I want to find out who the real LL is just like Eiji, who's convinced that his dad was used as the scapegoat for the serial killings that occurred fifteen years ago.
