After being rescued by a mysterious man, Silver and the people of Ortus are brought into an underground bunker.
But who is this mysterious man, and can he be trusted?
As tensions build beneath the surface, threats overhead are far from over. The Elites still want Silver, and they'll do just about anything to get her. If Silver wants to stay alive, she'll have to find a way to join forces with strangers she knows nothing about.
The only problem is, some of these strangers have plans of their own.... plans that include Silver.
Hunted, the third book in The Immortal Ones series, takes readers on a thrilling adventure like no other.
We meet even MORE characters. And the mystery surrounding them certainly makes for a wild ride.
I don't think enough of the mystery behind the two brothers is revealed. I actually think the book could have been LONGER. I wanted to know MORE. I feel robbed of some information.
My favorite part of the book is hands down the rover search team. The characters in these scenes are so fun. Can we just explore more and more of the world around them?
But wait, what happened to the plan to take down the true enemy?!?!? When are we going to go to war?!?!?
The female-female love interest progresses.
The ending is not entirely what I expected. Now what?!?

Whew! Shade Owens is on a roll, folks! This much anticipated (by me for sure) third book in The Immortal Ones series was worth the wait. It starts and ends on a cliffhanger, and let me tell you that everything in between keeps you engaged and on your toes! In this action-packed third book of the series, Silver learns who she can trust, and who she can't, and a new antagonist (oh he made me so anxious) makes her understand how it feels to be Hunted. I really liked the relationship and character building done in this book. It even introduced a NEW world and again, I cannot wait for the next book! This is a series that just keeps on giving! :-)
I just couldn't get into this book and the last one was hard to finish too. Plus, it was not realistic that Silver was willing to trade her life for her friend who was captured by the Wood faces, then not even check up on her friend when they got her.

Hunted The Immortal Ones #3 Dystopian Shade Owens ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think this was the most interesting book in this series so far.
I liked the new place Silver and her people discovered, the divided people already living there and the conflicts.
Jared really annoys me that's exactly how he was written. I never know what he's planning and I wanted to smack the smug smirk off his face throughout the whole book 😂.
I hope the tribe that Silver found is explored more, with even more characters brought in.
The invisible wall made me very curious. While the characters throw around a couple of theories about who controls it, why it's there etc, I need to know the story behind it.
I know part of the plot is to have certain leaders be secretive, but I just wish everyone would communicate more because a lot more would get done and progress would be made.
This one was a little slower getting into it and I’m not sure why. I was intrigued to find out about what happened in the bunker after how book 2 ended but it just felt kind of anticlimactic for some reason.
The story is still good and there were some parts that I liked and was interested in but for the most part, it felt like the pacing slowed down far too much. A few things that happened that was surprising and a few things that were predictable.
I feel like this book didn’t really make the story progress, almost like it was just a filler which was disappointing. I also predicted how it was going to end. I’m not sure why this wasn’t as gripping for me, it just felt like something was missing.
Overall, this was okay, I wish the pacing was faster and more stuff happened. The ending being predictable wasn’t great either.
🎧(audiobook) As much as enjoyed the story- I expected more “hunting”. Silver and her friends have been accepted into the bunker and are trying to adjust to their new surroundings. It seems safe- but is it. As Silver and the people of Ortus navigate their new home, tensions rise and unease sits underneath the surface. Just like before, people want to help, while others want to throw Silver out and give her to the Elites. This felt like a filler book to add context and backstory- especially after reading the next. It was decent. Not angry, just a little forgettable.
I'm enjoying the story and the world building but can't get my head around everyone taking orders and direction from Silver so completely. She is seventeen and spent her whole life farming, it's a stretch seeing her as the authority figure. This book didn't really move the story along, would like to see some progress
A really great third part to this new, interesting, dystopian series! Well written, directly you are back in the adventure with the main character! Lots of action, conflict & surprises! I really like this series, I like the characters & ideas & do recommend for all that love this genre!
First, I’d like to mention that at the end of the previous book (Evolved) I had a couple concerns. One was that the author was going to go overboard with the chaos in Hunted. As we all know, dystopian authors have to balance the scales between forced order on one side and danger/adventure on the other. Annnd sometimes they tip the scale too far into the danger zone i.e. too many extremes, too close together. My other concern was that the friends she gained in Olympus, the people willing to die for her after 3 days of knowing each other, were put on the backburner with mere mentions here and there.
Secondly, I’d like to say that the author did an amazing job at quelling those concerns. So in case you’re wondering, there wasn’t an earthquake that swallowed up half of the villagers right after the tornado, Woodfaces and random military guys robbing them in the forest. Mmmhmmm, almost too far, but not quite….on to the friends! In Hunted, Silver interacts more with Dax, Danika, Rose. I got more of a girlfriends vibe this time and then a comraderie vibe from the friends she makes in the Underground. While you guys don’t know who James is yet, he would have to be my favorite character. I am interested to see how he and Sadie interact in the upcoming book.
I found this book to be entertaining and suspenseful at times. It pulls you through many emotions, introduces you to new places that expand Silver’s world and leaves you with Shade’s famous cliffhangers, but she writes fast so you don’t have to wait too long for the next book. It was a great read and I’m looking forward to the next one.
I received a Kindle ARC of this book and am leaving this review freely. Thank you BookSirens, Red Raven Publishing and Shade Owens!
I'm a little dissapointed. I expected so much more from this third novel. I guess I expected some more on the deamons or about Mr darwin or more clarification about what might have happened with Silver's grandmother and mother. I feel like I've been left with more questions than answers.
That being said I did enjoy this book. There was definitely enough suspense to keep me intrigued and it was a very easy read.
I somehow feel cheated. Some part of me feels like this lacked character growth but in the other hand I can also see Silver becoming a full in warrior in a sense.
Overall a good read but I'm anxious for atleast some answers in the next book.

Hunted is Book 4 in The Immortal Ones Series by Shade Owens. Book 3 ended with the approach of a tornado. A strange man let in the weary people inside a bunker. This begins Hunted right where the Immortal Ones ended. Hunted is an exciting story with new characters and a new village. Silver and her friends face death threats, betrayal, drugs, and the Woodfaces. Hunted was fabulous book. I truly could not put the book down because I had to know what happened next! I thought the ending was so exciting and left me wanting to read Ignited, book 4 asap! I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
A lot happens. So many new things for Silver to learn about, including swimming. Old characters, new characters, goods ones and bad, old enemies and new ones, friendships put to the test, corrupt people …. Who to trust?!!
Cliffnotes: * YA to NA * romance - no smut * adventure * travel – new places * meet new people * deceit * attempted murder * strange technology * mutiny * battle * no dragons, but there is a cat!
Thank you to the author and BookSirens for providing me with this free ARC eBook. This is my honest review! For my full book review, please head over to my blog, chocolatebookscats.wordpress.com.
This was a good read, as usual. I managed to read it in two days. This has become one of my favorite dystopian books, although the plot wasn’t all that deep, seeing Silver’s growth and influence among other villages and tribes made me want to keep on going. I also loved the characters better in this book (except for A FEW. which you’ll immediately be able to identify once you’ve read it.)
Again, I’ll be happy to continue reading and sharing my thoughts about the rest of the series, and I thank BookSirens so much for allowing me to discover this amazing series from Shade Owens.

Another exciting and engrossing example of superlative and totally believable world building. The character development continues to expand and I am now able to feel the characters' emotion whether rage or sheer delight… I truly feel I am leaving a group of friends ( in some cases - enemies ) in the midst of a crisis when I reluctantly close the book. Once again Shade leaves the reader hungry for answers and anticipating the sequel…. One of my favorite series by an excellent author! Waiting for the sequel!

Just as with the previous books in this series, I absolutely loved this one.
Wonderful world building, great character development of the existing characters from the previous books, as well as of the new ones.
Believe me, you are going to hate some of the characters in this book, and you will want to reach in, pluck them out and strangle them. If an author does that, the author has done well.
Great addition to the series, and I look forward to the next book.
Hunted is the third book in the Immortal Ones series by Shade Owens. Let me begin by saying how much I am truly enjoying this series. Silverstasia is a truly good person in a world filled with people with questionable agendas….and many want her for their own interests. While she is innocent in many ways, she has good instincts and is fearless. Her journey is a fun and entertaining story. This book ends in a cliffhanger - and what a cliffhanger! I cannot wait for book 4!

This review does not contain spoilers! I love Shade Owen's work. Technically I think the author is listed as YA but believe me, I am far from that. I have enjoyed escaping into the different settings of the first three books and can not wait for the next one. If you are finished with these three I highly recommend Shade's "Feral Sentence" complete series books 1-5. I would suggest buying them together to make sure you read them in the correct order. Jacque
Fast, fierce, and full of tension. The danger feels real, and the pace doesn’t let up. Great for fans of survival thrillers with high stakes and a sharp edge. One of those stories you tear through in a single sitting.
Again I will not review this book until the series finishes But will say not much happens in this episode Sine the next is not out I will probably leave this series here
