CLIFFHANGER!
My review pertains only to LIAM: DUBLIN KINGS by LK Shaw
I have loved all the books by Ms. Shaw that I have read thus far but this one is irritating because it ends in the middle of the story. Now it makes me wonder if that is what the anthology, “Dangerous as Sin” is all about: book or series starters. Ugh!
Loved the story, love the over-the-top alpha male in Liam, love the feisty female character in Imogen, love the kidnapping premise, but makes me also angry that I don’t get to read the rest of the story. AND the back note from the author says the next book in the Dublin Kings series will be about Cian and Nessa and not Liam and Imogen. No doubt I’ll read this series but I wish authors wouldn’t do this. I volunteered to review an ARC of this story.

The following is a review of RA Smyth’s contribution to the Anthology:
Blindsided 5/5
“Oh god,” I moan.
“There is no God here, babe. It’s the devil who’s going to make you scream tonight”

If you are already a RA Smyth fan, you know you’re in for a treat with this short story. If this is your introduction to her stories, be prepared for a strong plot and delicious smut. In this short story of only thirteen chapters, she delivers hefty levels of steam with some twists that I did not see coming. We are blessed with a MMC who looks like an angel, fu*ks like a devil and has a villainous side, and a FMC who finds herself falling for a man who appears to be everything she ever wanted when his dark side is caged. They have some heady s3x scenes, and the MMC could talk dirty to me all day.

Blindsided is our introduction to Mia, and we will get to know her better later this year. I eagerly await more.

This review is for Tripwire by Cathleen Cole. An absolutely awesome read. I loved Trip and (Marina) Siren’s story ❤️❤️❤️ Whilst hunting down his prey Trip is rescue from drowning in the surf after he’s forced off a cliff while on his bike. All he sees is a beautiful woman, he’s Siren. She is a bit of a daredevil but is unsure of the way he makes her feel. They are soulmates, it only takes a minute for them to realise this. Definitely a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So I’ve read one story from this book. I read Tripwire. I enjoyed the short story. It was fun and enjoyed the growth of Tripwire. I have read the Austin Viking series and enjoy them. It is nice to have an ending to one of the syndicate‘s story. This story was like the authors of the writing but it took all the other parts condensed it and gave us the juicy parts. It was a quick burn trope.

PERFECT!!

If you’ve read the Viking MC series then you know Trip turns nomad after his club goes legit in order to track down the last man responsible for all their trouble. We see Trip again in Riptides story and he shows up with a new old lady. This short story does an amazing job at filling us in on what happened. Trip and Marina are amazing together and this story is absolutely worth the read!!

4 - 4.5 stars!

This review is for Tripwire by Cathleen Cole. Trip is a biker and hunting a man when he gets side swiped off a cliff into the surf. He loses his bike but not his life when Marina saves him from drowning. The two have chemistry but come from different worlds. It only takes one kiss to realize they may never be able to let each other go.

"The smartest thing to do was to let her go, but I couldn’t do that. Watching her as she relaxed in her own space, the need to own her, protect her…fuck her, came over me. I couldn’t release her, knowing that she’d eventually find another guy and marry him. She was mine."

Loved this short and smutty story despite not reading the other books in this series. But now I kind of want to! Trip was an anti-hero biker and Marina was a daredevil with reservations. The two of them were great together and the story was fast paced and suspenseful. Cole writes the best smut...seriously. Overall, a great short read.

Review for RA Smyth’s story in the anthology:
The novella is a little rough to get through at times due to the nature of the relationship but oh is this new series it’s a prequel to going to be so, so good. The novella is good on its own but it’s even better as a little snippet for what’s to come and I’m dying for this new series now. Mia will be a wonderful FMC and I can already tell I’m going to love the dynamic of her with the guys especially when they start learning what really happened 😏. R.A Smyth putting me in a book slump because of a series that doesn’t even fully exist yet. Whatever.
CW at the beginning. The relationship is abusive/manipulative starting slowly about halfway through but escalating quickly. SA is pretty graphic on page (1 scene-Chapter 9).

This is action-packed from the very beginning. I did not realize this was just a prequel of sorts to the first book in the Taken Series: The Lucchese Family: Taken by the Capo. *Caution* please note the trigger warnings for this book. They are there for a reason. If any are uncomfortable for you then please find another Charmaine Louise Shelton book to read. This is a serious book filled with tragedy and tears. I cannot wait to read the full version.

Charmaine is starting a new series with this introduction to Marcello and Gala. He’s intense, depraved, and lethal. She’s ethereal and utterly innocent with a damaged soul from her evil lecherous father. Marcello sees her and stays true to the family motto: Want It, Take It. Gala finds herself takes off the auction stage and into his vehicle.

Charmaine is an outstanding writer who uses words and dialogue to create worlds beyond our imagination. The characters are realistic, the dialogue enhances and expands plot development, and the sex is filthy and naughty. Love her books and can’t wait for the rest of this couple’s story.

This review is for Liam : Dublin Kings by L.K. Shaw. As she is one of my favourite authors I was sure I would love the book and as expected I was sucked in by Liam and Imogen from page one. I was at the edge of my seat throughout the read and am fascinated by both Imogen and Liam. My only disappointment was that it ended on a cliffhanger and the way it ended left me reeling. Cannot wait for there book although as mentioned there is another book releasing first so it's gonna be a long wait.
Thanks to the author for the advanced copy.

Taken By The Capo. This is a prequel of Marcello and Gala's story. Marcello is the third son of the leader of La Cosa Nostra, nicknamed The Hammer. Ruthless and gets what he wants. Gala, sold by her father, vows revenge on him and what he has done to his daughters. When Marcello sees Gala at the auction he wants her so takes her. A great start to their story and I hope we get to see the rest of it as I want to see how it plays out and how they deal with everything that is thrown at them.

Tripwire - by Cathleen Cole

A quick, insta-love story that packs a punch, Tripwire is a great taster of the Vikings MC Franchise.

This story falls quite far into the series timeline - around book 8. However, it is easy to understand without having read the other books (I have only read the first 4 books and was not lost at all). It does contain minor spoilers for previous events, but not enough to take away from their stories.

Very enjoyable story with a sprinkle of spice. Will DEFINITELY make you want to go back to the beginning of the series and read them all.

I received this book as an ARC. This is my honest review.

Short introduction to Marcello and Galas story. I felt bad for poor Gala and her family. Her dad is terrible.
Can't wait to see their story :). I loved also what Marcello does lol.

Review for Tripwire

Trip and Siern (Marina) have a connection like no other. Total opposites, but yet they work. Trip will do anything for his Siern.
If you have read the The Vikings Austin series, you finally get answers on what happened when Trip and Drew left. However you don't have to know them before reading. Trip and Siern's story is a fast falling in love one with some usual MC issues thrown in.
Loved it!

I received and ARC for Cathleen Cole’s Tripwire and this is my honest review.

This is a short, insta love story. These characters are opposite but yet fit together. After Marina saves Trip he can’t help but fall for her. And of course Trip brings his A game to make sure she falls just as hard.

With a little bit of dangerous thrown into the mix it makes for a great story.

This review is for Taken by the Capo by Charmaine Louise. It’s a quick introduction to the story and I’m very interested in reading the whole book once it comes out. I’m so hoping that Borislav will get his just comeuppance! As with any mafia type romance, please read all triggers first! I received an advanced copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

I was also able to read Liam by Lk Shaw. This is another introduction to a story that will be coming out later and also ends in a cliffhanger. I so loved Imogen was she was one strong kick butt female. She is actually kidnapped by Liam, who to me, is nothing but a psychopathic bully and that’s probably being generous. I’m certainly interested in seeing where the story goes and one can only hope that Liam mellows out or meets a nice demise!

This review is for Blindsided by RA Smyth.

Mia and Conor are everything!!! 🥵🥵 I was reallly feeling their dynamic. Then all of a sudden, things aren’t adding up and Mia is just taking it! When $h!t hits the fan, Mia is forced to make a decision that only ends up backfiring. Seems Conor is so much more. (I don’t think you can really ever come back from that) But she never really knew him in the first place, so she never knew what he was actually capable of.

The novella ends wayyy to fast and we are left with our mouths open wiiide!!! I can’t wait to see how this story continues. I truly loved Conor at first, but theirs no coming back from that at all. Right?

*Overall 4/5
*Heat? 4/5
*Mia only-First person POV (minus last chapter)
*Fantastic writing!
*Ends on cliffhanger (No happy ending in sight

This is a review for Liam by L.K. Shaw.
Once again, I was pulled right into another story and it did not disappoint. The angst and tension between Imogen and Liam was SO good. The push and the pull, suspense and secrets. I can’t wait to read more from them already!

a lot of great quick stories

Liam LK Shaw
This is such an intense start to Liam and Imogen’s story. He’s obsessed with her. She’s forced to stay with him. Neither can lie about their attraction. But Imogen finds her escape and goes to her long lost father for protection. When their full story comes out it’s going to full of chemistry and spicy moments I’m sure of it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tino NJ Adel
I didn’t read because you must read the Forbidden Cruel Italians series before reading this.

Wings of a Devil Luna Pierce
This is a spicy ride with two hot criminals and a girl looking for revenge. Only she finds more than expected. I hope this isn’t the end to Axel, Lorenzo, and Banks’ story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rough Diamond Simone Leigh
This is a bodyguard romance where Katya doesn’t notice Hickman until he saves her life. Hickman is hopelessly in love with his bosses mistress and Katya finds comfort in his safety. I wouldn’t call this a great love story but the do get a HEA. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dangerously into You M’Renee Allen & Shani Greene-Dowdell
This book is written third person which isn’t my favorite but it is some of my favorite tropes. Brothers Best Friends, Forced Proximity, and Enemies to Lovers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Forbidden Desire Scarlett Finn
Oh man. The desire in this book is spicy. A cops daughter and the head of the Irish mafia. Very forbidden. I’m hooked on this story and can’t wait for the next book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Vicious Vows Rae B Lake
Vicious Vows is tight. A night you expect to be the best in your life turns disastrous because of Faye’s evil twin. Now she’s found herself locked up with a sexy crime boss and she’s finding herself less scared of him everyday. I can’t wait for this story to continue. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Taken by the Capo Charmaine Louise Shelton
This s brief intro to Marcello and Gala’s story and I’m ready for their story to be released. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dirty Mafia Prince Michele Mannon
Sandro always gets what he wants and he wants Riley. Things started out as a one night stand but turned into a regular thing until their worlds collide and she finds out who he truly is. He’s not letting her go now and she fighting his hold on her. At least until he breaks down her walls by expressing his feelings. This is a steamy forced proximity romance and they get their HEA. 4.5⭐️

Blindsided RA Smyth
Mia’s love affair with a sexy Irishman goes from exciting to dangerous the more she falls in love with him. But when his dark side turns to her so quickly realizes she’s in a lot of trouble. This is the start to a story and hopefully her true romance hasn’t started because I really don’t like Conor. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stalked by a Mafia Prince Emma Bray
Grace is innocent in all forms of the word. So innocent she doesn’t even realize she’s caught the attention of the Mafia prince Massimo. When he can’t stand to stay away from her another second he starts popping up in her life and while she can feel the danger in him she’s not scared. This isn’t a world wind romance with sweet moments. It is a obsessed man that takes his obsession and locks her away until she gives in. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Inciting Carnage Bella Faust
This is a prequel to the Black Shamrock MC series. Lily has loved Venom for as long as she can remember but he won’t touch her until she’s 18. One night of rejection has things turn very bad for her as she runs into Alex. Her best friend tells to make Venom jealous and put the entitled Alex in his place but what she doesn’t know is Alex has his own revenge plan in place. You get Lily’s POV and then you get the first few chapters of Craving Control. I’ve already purchased the first two books of this series. Can’t wait to see where it leads. 4.5⭐️

Ravishing Tiffany Carby
This is a very brief intro to Elliott’s story showing you why he is on the run. Not a whole bunch happened that has enticed me to read the full length story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tripwire Cathleen Cole
This author and this story is why I bought Dangerous as Sin. And Trips story didn’t disappoint. I loved the instant attraction and need for each. And I loved how they both thrive on high intensity situations just in different ways. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Karma Elizabeth York
Karma and Mia have a dark past but when their life’s collided in the present things are very different. Karma has an anger soul and Mia wants revenge. Not quite sure what for fully but she’s taking her family down with all the hate she has. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Villain and the Forsaken Valentina
I didn’t read this book because fantasy is not a genre I typically read.

Ignited EM Gayle
Sasha caught JD’s attention the moment he laid eyes on her and it wasn’t just because she was barely clothed dancing at his strip club. He just knew there was something about her. Sasha was drawn to JD, looking for him in the crowd as she dances wanting his attention. But while they have sparked moments this prequel doesn’t even show a glimpse of what their story will be. 4.5⭐️

Terrific next chapter in the Donnelly and Sheehan Mafia families and abducted Imogen

Imogen is very much a working by herself individual and she is a “Hacker” of the highest calibre able in some cases to write her own cheques for some of the more complex jobs she undertakes. However she always tries to ensure that the people she wors for are not hurting via trafficking females, guns or drugs she mostly sells information and wipes video and camera feeds for individuals.

Until the fateful day she had been in her favourite tea shop with her usual order and a man she had never seen approached her and sat at her table and had spoken to her and told her that he would be seeing her very soon! Within no time at all and after finding out that he was Liam Campbell one of the top names in Dublin and presently taking over his fathers holdings, home and army in readiness to attack and takeover Carrick Donnelly who is currently holding most of Dublin.

Suddenly taken hostage on the street and taken to the home of Liam she discovers that he has been trying to find out who and what she does for a living as well as trying to break into her heavily security home, he has however failed up to now.

She tells him quite honestly that she is and how she earns a living without giving up the details of clients or actual jobs as this could easily cost her life as the people she works for are Mafia and other important associates so she simply bides her time and waits for a possible escape.

I guarantee that you will love every moment of this book and will be looking forward to the next book in the series….

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Review for Blindsided by R.A Smyth

Blindsided is probably the hottest, steamiest read I've read this year for sure! And Oh my God, from the moment I started reading this sizzingly hot read, my mind went blank and became msuh, my ovaries exploded. How can something feel so right and yet be so wrong as the same time.

Mia is a hopeless romantic, innocent and naive but what I liked most is that when things went dark she found the courage and the strength to do what many would find incredibly difficult to do. A small town girl who left for the big city, for adventure, the glamour, but even the most beautiful rose can cut you with its thorns

As soon as Conor O'Shea was introduced my words ecompletely escaped me and they didn't come back for a long time, as i was struck dumb by every his every appearance in this book, until that scene. Conor is the entire package, sweet, caring, incredibly hot, completely out of her league, rich and doting ... until he isn't. There is more to this character than first meets the eye that left me blind-sided, not seeing it coming even with big flashy signs I think my brain still would have denied it.

After a doing a complete 180 I found myself feeling stupid for not seeing the warning signs completely enraptured in the romance, that it blinded me to the truth. The author has weaved an deliciously hot tale that takes the reader by surprise and keeping them engaged and interested from start to finishi. It is so wonderfully well-written that my head was filled with nothing but thoughts about Connor and Mia and that is probably their intent. A dark read that keeps the reader guessing what will happen next, what will burst the happy little bubble, what darkness will descend, what secrets are hidden from prying eyes that will some come into the light?

The following is based on Simone Leigh's Rough Diamond

Digging Out of a Mess

Oh Hickman.... He's been a side character to Larry Klempner (Charlotte's father) for a long time, so it was nice to see his story. He gets a surprising HFN from an unexpected source. I really liked it. The guns, murder, and mayhem are exactly what I expected would accompany his tale and I wasn't disappointed!

Here are my individual reviews for each book. They will be updated as I complete the other books. Happy reading! 📚💋

LIAM (Dublin Kings) by L.K. Shaw

My first thought when I read this short introduction to Liam and Imogen was Holy Wow! My second thought was this enticing tidbit was nothing like I was expecting for the start of this new series (especially after reading the Brooklyn Kings series).

Right from the start you can tell the Dublin Kings series will be darker, edgier, and more commanding than the Brooklyn Kings. Though Liam stirs different feelings while reading it was still engaging and drew me in from the first page. I will also admit I was not a fan of the cliffhanger (but who really likes them, right?). It felt like right when the story was really getting started, it just stopped. My emotional investment into the story took an immediate nose dive BUT, I know when it comes time for Liam and Imogen’s complete tale, L.K. will do it and the characters justice (she always does).

From the storyline aspect, I was completely absorbed in what I was reading and I cannot wait for the rest. From the characters, I absolutely loved Imogen. She’s mysterious, strong, determined, brave, and intelligent. I’m holding out full judgment on Liam, right now he’s kind of hazy for me. He’s powerful, demanding, controlling, arrogant, and cares for and about no one but himself. However, it’s very clear he needs a soft touch to balance him out and I can tell by the sizzling chemistry when he and Imogen are together, they will be explosive. But, will Imogen be able to gentle him…I can’t wait to find out their full story. I was also intrigued by Liam’s cousin, Declan, and I really hope he’s in line for his own book.

What a great collection of bad-boy stories in this Dangerous as Sin anthology. I’ve just started it and have only read the first few, but I am eager to continue with the rest. Now, I didn’t start the collection by reading the very first story. I had to jump a little ahead because I wanted to start with the story by my fave author, Simone Leigh: Rough Diamond.

I enjoyed Rough Diamond SOoo much! From the very beginning I was drawn right into the story; the action explodes almost from the get-go. Was drawn right into Hickman’s character, too. Ok…so I’m in love with him now. :D He’s tough but caring, and righteous, and human/humane. And just frickin’ sexy. His character really surprised me considering he’s a baddie. I only hope the author has more of him coming soon. Aside from great characters, the story was fascinating with all its twists and turns, especially one particular twist I’ve never seen in a story before that left me gasping. Oh, Simone!

I also read L.K. Shaw’s “Liam” and Luna Pierce’s “Wings of a Devil.” Both those stories were also topnotch reading, very suspenseful and sexy-hot, and I will likely look for more from both of those authors in the future. I tried to read N.J. Adel’s “Tino.” However, I learned it is a sequel to the author’s “Cruel Italians” series which she recommends you read first. I haven’t read any of those books and it’s likely to be a while as my TBR is ginormous, LOL), so I bypassed “Tino”.

As I continue to read further into this anthology, I’ll probably update this review. As it stands right now, though, I give Dangerous as Sin 5 stars, even if I couldn’t read “Tino.”

“Dangerous as Sin: An Antihero Romance Collection” is a box set of twenty brand-new and exclusive novellas. Each story takes us on an exciting, action packed adventure of falling for the anti-hero, one faltering breath at a time. There is a nice range of styles, each with their own unique style and storylines that are cohesive, well developed and keep you engrossed throughout the story until the entertaining and unpredictable end. The Stories are short, steamy, sexy and fun . Dangerous as Sin is an amazing anthology! Have just started reading it, quick reads but wanted to leave a review so others would know what they are purchasing. And, how delighted they will be. :-)
Liam (Dublin Kings) by L.K. Shaw may be a quick read but it is packed with danger, steamy romance, intrigue, betrayals and lots of power plays.
It is Liam and Imogen’s journey and it is a wild one, full of electric romantic attraction and constant twists and turns. Liam Campbell is a Hot, Alpha hero, who is cold and unfeeling until he collides with Imogene. Yes, they meet when she runs into him. LOL Imogen is feisty, sassy and has many secrets but Liam wants her. L.K Shaw is a gifted writer and I’m looking forward to this entire series and Liam and Imogen’s story.
A wonderful way to read and find new authors!

I got the chance to read Liam by LK Shaw and it was a fabulous tease!
Liam is almost like a prequel to the Dublin Kings series, connected to the Brooklyn Kings. It does end on a cliffhanger. Liam has had his eye on Imogen and now he’s determined that she will be his. Kidnapped, Imogen tries to make the best of the situation, but as Liam works on gaining power, will Imogen’s secret destroy everything?
Oh my goodness, for a short story, there is a lot packed into it! Liam and Imogen have some amazing chemistry right from the very beginning, and I adored their power dynamics. Imogen is spirited and even when she’s scared, she doesn’t back down. I liked her fire, her resourcefulness, and the way she works things to be in her control. Liam is arrogant, cares for no one but is intrigued by Imogen, and always gets what he wants. Their chemistry was like dynamite that was lit, full of suspense, waiting to be explosive, but this story isn’t over yet. I’m dying to know what will happen next with these characters and the little snippets we’ve now seen of what’s going on in this world. I am so excited!

Liam: Dublin Kings
By L.K. Shaw

L.K. Shaw loves to dangle delicious little tidbits in front of you and tease you with their phenomenal goodness just knowing you’re going to suffer dramatically until you get more. And that is exactly what she has done with her Novella Liam introducing us to the Dublin Kings series.

OMG this man is the epitome of OTT Alpha Hotness. Liam is definitely meant to be a King and when he sets his sights on someone there’s no stopping him, he does everything he can to get them even if it means against their will. Liam and Imogen are the perfect pair even if she is in utter denial of it. The chemistry and air surrounding these two is of the charts intense.

This may have been a quick tease but it was definitely packed full of danger, action, steam, lies, secrets, betrayal and serious power plays. Ends on a cliffy that will leave you begging and pleading for more of these two, especially since their story can continue in so many different ways and directions. Seriously am looking forward to this entire series but most definitely looking forward to Liam and Imogen’s story. Highly recommend this and all books by L.K.
