The authors of The Doctors Book of Home Remedies show how to use exercise to heal back pain, arthritis, bursitis, stress, headaches, and more serious ailments, such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
First of all, this is a reference book, so I haven't read it in its entirety. Basically, there are sections on different diseases and ailments and you refer to the section which may apply to you. This was published in 1992, so it is older, but I like the beginning section that talks about the dramatic effect exercising can have on prolonging your life and reducing disease. Many studies are listed and it is amazing to see how exercise can make a major difference in not only the length, but the quality of our lives as well. It is worth looking over the first section just to motivate you to exercise if you are not doing so right now, or to keep you exericising consisently as consistency really is the key factor.
