FBI Agent Layla Prince is tough as nails and has something to prove. Working on a case to find missing women being abducted without a trace she is on a mission to find the assailant to make them pay. There is no one better for the job; and not just because she is a Vampire but because she has a vested interest in helping to solve this case and to help the missing women. Austin is a Medical Examiner who works the late shift because he sleeps during the day. I guess that’s because he too is a Vampire.

One evening a body is brought into the morgue and as Austin was preparing himself to exam the body his path crossed with Layla who was sent to retrieve the body for the FBI’s Medical Examiner. Sparks fly and both Layla and Austin have no idea what’s in store for them, but one thing is for certain there is someone going around abducting people and turning them into vampires. It’s up to Layla and Austin to unravel what type of sick game the killer is trying to play and what part they will have in this game of cat and mouse.

This is a new series by this author and I am looking forward to what comes next for Layla and Austin

Dark Sting is the first book in the Dark Fellowship series by Clover Coy. I was excited when I stumbled across this book as I discovered that it is the introduction to a series with many more instalments- 10 books (?), so far. I love to really sink my teeth into a great series, so I had high hopes going into this book. I also love paranormal romance, and romantic suspense- and this appeared to have both. With vampires, FBI, murder, mystery, serial killer, chemistry, steam, intrigue, suspense, action, and drama- it promised all the ingredients I love to find in a captivating story. But unfortunately for me, I just couldn’t connect with the characters, or their story. I felt the story needed to be longer, with more depth, detail, and development. Its short (novella)length didn’t allow for that- and the story suffered because of it. I’m not sure at this stage if I will continue with the rest of the series, as this just didn’t grab me. But I will revisit again in the future to see if I still feel the same way, or if perhaps I was just having an ‘off’ reading session with this book.

Good story.

A vampire FBI agent is after a serial killer meets a vampire medical examiner, and they are attracted to each other. A quick read with action. I like the characters and the plot. This story is an introduction to the series

My review is with the complete collection - because really this is only 1 book!
So, be warned, this book is 2 pages of mostly decent plot followed by 4 pages of erotica throughout the whole book (series).
Erotica lovers should love it;)

I like reading about vampires. It is a story about an FBI agent Layla, who is a vampire. Someone in the city is killing women or making a vampire of them.
At the morgue she meets Austin, he is the city medical examiner and is also a vampire. There is an attraction between Layla and Austin.
I love to read Coy Clovers books. Sometimes it is a pageturner, and it is well written.
I am looking forward to read the next book!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DARK STING". Great start to this new series Clover Coy did a great job writing this interesting, intriguing, suspense filled drama, mystery, sexual tension, twists that have you on the edge of your seat addicting read.
Layla & Austin both Vampires she's an FBI Agent he's a Medical Examiner working together to find who abducting people & turning them into Vampires.
Layla & Austin are attracted to one another she's a bit confused by her feelings because she's never been with a Vampire before maybe their fated mates & meant to be,
I definitely recommend to get this well written story that you can't put down will Austin & Layla figure out who's killing women & turning them into a vampires.
You'll have to wait for next book "DARK PASSION" to get more of Austin & Layla after that cliffhanger you want to know what's going up happen so well worth the read.

Great start to a new series! The author brings strong characters in Layla and Austin. She's FBI and he's the city medical examiner. Both are vampires and both are working to find who the killer is. There's mystery along with the sexual tension and it's told in the dual POV which shows both of their thoughts and emotions. It's well written and is a terrific read but does end in a cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Clover Coy writes supernatural and it’s a joy to read. Her previous series I loved was werewolves, check it out. This time, we are hanging with the vampires. Austin is a coroner… and a vampire. Layla is an FBI agent and a vampire, not that the FBI knows. Woman are disappearing and some are dying. Layla is obsessed to find them and who’s doing it.

Layla and Austin clash, fireworks and all, but they’ll need to work together to help a new baby vamp and what is to come. I am looking forward to Book 2, Dark Passion, coming the end of March 2022!

This is a great book with plenty of adventure, drama, sparks and emotional tension between the main characters. Layla works for the FBI and is a vampire. Someone is creating new vampires for evil purposes. Austin is the medical examiner who is working with Layla. The fact you get both characters point of view makes the book interesting. The book ends in a cliffhanger so am anxiously waiting to read next book. Also this was another book I could not put down until the end.

Clover Coy has wrote another great book for a new series. Layla and Austin are two vampires who find themselves mixed up in feelings of want. That Layla truly doesn't understand because she's never been with a vampire before. Hmm could Austin be Layla's fated mate?????? I guess will find out in the next book.

Dark Sting made me want to find out what happened next. It felt like a really good ‘who dunnit’ programme. I was picturing my book in my mind and felt all the emotions the characters had. Can’t wait for the next book.
