Sea Glass Summer

Rate this book
A moving, uplifting novel about motherhood, starting over, and an unexpected summer romance…

Kit Blakemore is ready to live again. After her husband died while serving in the military, she was in a haze of grief. Now she wants to reclaim her former self—finish her degree and find a better career to provide for their sweet little boy, Oliver. To do that, she’ll need to sell her late husband’s dilapidated Victorian in Seashell Harbor. But first, Kit intends to give Ollie the kind of unforgettable seaside summer she had growing up, making lifelong memories and friendships.

Of course, nothing goes exactly as she planned. Ollie is struggling with his confidence, and frankly, so is Kit. But everything changes when her husband’s best friend, Alex de la Cruz, returns to town, offering to help her renovate. She doesn’t expect Alex to temporarily move in…or for him to bond with Ollie…or for her numb heart to begin thawing. Slowly he’s helping Kit and Ollie heal, and it scares her to death.

Kit swore she wouldn’t leave herself open to the pain of loss again. But if she’s going to teach her son to be brave and move forward, Kit must first face her own fears.

I loved writing this story about a single mom struggling to get her life together and her resolve to give her young son a great summer in the process. Kit's determination to move on struck a chord with me that resonates even now after the last few years we've all had. And so did two wounded people finding love where they least expected it. Hope you enjoy this story as much as I did writing it!

I have only read one other Miranda Liasson novel but I’m sure grateful I read SEA GLASS SUMMER! What a beautiful story! I’m very excited to read her older books now. I was more than happy to return to Seashell Harbor and to my new found friends who live there. Kit Blakemore is a single mother and a widow. This absorbing story combines both the beautiful sensory details of a summer harbor town with heartfelt characters, a moving plot, and a story with so much depth. SEA GLASS SUMMER is a lovely read with characters I rooted for, and some lovely details that brought the town of Seashell Harbor to life. I highly recommend this story if you need a complete escape from life.

SEA GLASS SUMMER explores family dynamics, loss, secrets, and a new romance! Miranda Liasson handles difficult topics and has the reader cheering for everyone to succeed. Kit has been living with her son at her parent’s home but after three years she is ready to move on with her life. She misses her husband with every fiber of her being and doesn’t think she is ready for love, but sometimes life has other plans. When I started reading SEA GLASS SUMMER, I didn’t know I’d come to love it this much. Where to start? The interactions between all the characters in this small town, where everyone knows everyone else, are vividly told and enjoyable to read. Love, hope, second chances and the importance of community are the threads that bind this book together beautifully.

I enjoyed the language, the conversations and the very real feel of SEA GLASS SUMMER. It made me want to go to Seashell Harbor and hang out with the people of this coastal town. How can Kit teach Oliver to be brave and strong if she is afraid to move on herself? She had written to Alex and told him she didnt need his help fixing up the Victorian home that her husband, Carson had owned. But he shows up anyway. Kit is fit to be tied, but when Alex offers to do the work for cost, she accepts. Hang on to your seats guys! This is when the going gets good! Why can’t these two just be honest with each other? Oh, Alex was Carson’s best friend and feels he owes it to Carson to look out for and help Kit any way he can. He feels as if it is his duty.

I don’t want to say too much for fear of giving away too much of SEA GLASS SUMMER, but once I started reading this beautiful and heart breaking story, I could not stop! Everyone should have this unforgettable book on their summer/fall reading list. The dialogue between Kit and Alex is sometimes funny and other times frustrating! They both have secrets and without letting them out, they will not be able to move forward. Kit’s friends and family have been giving her unconditional support but they have also been holding her hand a little too much. She knows its time for her to move on, but she just doesn’t know if she is strong enough. I was instantly emotionally invested in all of the characters from page one and I can not wait to read more by this wonderful and heart tugging author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Forever Books. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and voluntarily given.

This story is a cutesy, perfect, summertime romance at the beach. You will root for the characters from page one, and their relationship will warm your heart every step of the way. This is the second book in a series, but can be read as a standalone.

While I loved the female friendships and the cautious romance, some of the best moments in this book come from the characters’ honest expressions of grief. There were many quotes that resonated with me and brought tears to my eyes. One of my favorites: “We never stop loving the person we lost. We never ‘get over’ them. We just sort of accept that we have to live a different life without them.”

When I finished this book, I felt comforted. The characters were reliable, the story was heartwarming, and I turned the last page feeling like I’d gotten a big calming hug from the story I had just read. In a time of chaos, I give a million kudos to the author for delivering this feeling, and I’m already picking out another book of hers to read next.

Thank you @readforeverpub for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

Favorite Quotes:

Well, I’m going to give you the advice I wish someone had given me. You can’t allow fear to call the shots. Because fear has a really loud voice, and it will always talk you out of things. And listening to it will make you feel better, for a while. But then time passes and you see that you’re still exactly where you were before— stuck. Except suddenly you find that you’re a lot older and still haven’t accomplished what you really want.

He tried to remember at what age the good sense to be embarrassed kicked in. Hopefully not at age five.

My Review:

I always enjoy picking up a book by this author. Her emotive word choices, perceptive observations, and descriptive storytelling have an easy fluidity that effortlessly draws me in with completely depicted scenes scrolling like a smooth movie reel behind my eyes. The cast of characters was varied, authentic, easily knowable, and endearingly fractured with grief while struggling to find themselves again. I adore this unique grouping of friends and am eager to see what happens in the next installment.

Sea Glass Summer is the second book in the Seashell Harbor series. The first book, Coming Home to Seashell Harbor is Hadley and Cam's story. Sea Glass Summer is Kit, Alex and Ollie's story. Ollie is a sweet little boy, five years old. The son of Kit and her husband Carson. Strong protector never made it back from his military mission. Grieving Kit moved herself and her son into her parents house for support mentally but after three years there she is ready for them to have some breathing room and her to get on with her life.
The fixer upper Victorian beach house her late husband owns is a total money drain but she vows to put everything she has into it to fix it up and sell it. She's noticed her son has lagging confidence and frankly she does as well. She's convinced being out on their on will help this tremendously.
Grieving deeply for her husband she promises herself she will do all she can to keep her husband's memory alive for her son.
Fixing the beach house has taken more money than she realizes so when her husband's best friend Alex offers to help with the repairs at cost she finds it's an offer she can't refuse.
Alex is grieving right along with Kit because he and Carson have been best friends for so long.
Spending so much time with Alex she finds herself falling for him and he has had feelings for her for forever but with her being married never acted on them.
I love how the relationship between Kit and Alex moves slowly and respectfully. He loves Ollie and includes him in many things. All looks great in this relationship until Kit finds out a secret Alex has been keeping and it devastates her. Will the relationship be able to recover and go back to where it was? This book is so down to earth, homey and realistic. It brought me to tears a few times.
I highly recommend it!

Kit lost her husband in the war and has been living with her parents with her young son Oliver. She thinks that it is time to live on her own with Oliver. Before she can start her life, she knows she must deal with an old Victorian house that was left to her husband. She finds it in great disrepair, but she knows once it is fixed up that it will sell for a good price.

Her renovation of the house is being share by her husband's best friend Alex de la Cruz. He is only in town for a while, and he offers to assist Kit with the renovations. Alex misses his best friend, and is dealing with survivor's guilt. More than that, Alex is doing his best to hide long-held feelings of attraction towards Kit.

The past and present converge for Kit and Alex, especially when they both realize their strong attraction to another. However, guilt gets in the way of anything that might be blooming between them.

What a touching story! I love how this story showed how deeply Kit loved her husband, but how she allows her heart to open for Alex, all while Alex is navigating his feelings of loss all while dealing with feelings of love.

Many thanks to Forever and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Single parents are one of my favorite things to read about. I’m not sure if it’s because they feel like and underdog and I’m just so happy to see them win or if it’s because they usually have cute kid characters. Maybe it’s just both! This one fit into both. I was happy to see her get a second chance after her difficult past and her son too.

Quaint, absorbing, and sweet!

Sea Glass Summer is a heartfelt, uplifting tale set in the small town of Seashell Harbor that takes you into the lives of Kit Blakemore, a young widow and mother who is still grappling with the loss of her husband and the all-consuming grief that is preventing her from moving on, and Captain Alex de la Cruz, a retired air force pilot struggling to come to grips with the death of his best friend and the feelings he’s always had and still has for the woman he actually fell in love with first.

The prose is genuine and smooth. The characters are heartbroken, hesitant, and kind. And the plot is an addictive, alluring mix of friendship, family, life, loss, introspection, support, forgiveness, community, new beginnings, furry friends, and the power of love.

Overall, Sea Glass Summer is a charming, hopeful, romantic read by Liasson that is a fantastic addition to a series, Seashell Harbor, which I absolutely love and highly recommend.

I absolutely loved and adored this book and the characters. From the setting of this charming small town to the enchantingly detailed writing of the story, I was hooked.

This was a standout small town romance for me. It's one that I will no doubt reread because I would love to return to these characters and this world again. I loved the relationships, the friendships, and how cozy and at home this whole story felt.

I think the author did this second chance (in more ways than one) romance perfectly. I'm not going to lie, sometimes it can be hard to read a romance involving a widow and be able to become truly invested in that new relationship. With this story, it's evident how much love there was which each couple separately. Nothing about the story felt wrong or rushed and the progression of the relationship just felt...right.

Even though I read a lot of books that have an emotional element to the story, I rarely tear up. Maybe it's because of the amount of emotional novels I read and that repeated exposure. However, I did find myself tearing up with this one. Multiple times. Especially nearing the end (I'll leave it at that to avoid spoilers).

Even though this book could no doubt be read as a standalone, I feel invested in this small town and these characters. I will definitely be hunting down the next book in this series to read.

Sea Glass summer is the second book in the Seashell Harbor series.

A series that concentrate on three friends that have a very strong feeling about a ring they will las on to each other after they find love.

Kit Blakemore is a widow, a single mother, and a woman redoing her life by going back to school and getting her own place.

When her army husband passed away, she inherited a beautiful old house on the beach and her plan was to bring it back to life and remodel at its old beauty.

In comes her husband's best friend, who will help her with this big project. He always had a soft spot for Kit but stepped back and now it's his chance to make sure she knows how he feels.

The story unfolds easily, with many moments where I felt sad for Kit and her son, Oliver, who's a real show stealer.

With insightful interactions and delightful first butterflies of a second chance at love and a new start in life, their romance is nowhere near easy or perfect, but that's what makes it more reliable and beautiful.

There are doubts, there are moments of frustration, but as always, love wins over all the obstacles.

A perfect summer read for any romantic lovers.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

This was a pleasant, if not predictable, contemporary romance. I was intrigued by the cover with a lighthouse and beach scene. Baseball and children gave it an ‘America, summertime and apple pie’ atmosphere.

The h and H had a history with some misunderstandings early on in life. Then the h ended up marrying his best friend. Without her aware of it, the H helped the husband write letters home (they were both in military service). Then the husband died. Instead, I felt empathy for this single man.

Though I did not read Coming Home to Seashell Harbor, it may have helped at the beginning of this story. Three BFsF, an engagement and, I sensed, a story about seconds chances for two of the secondary characters that would take place at another time.

I liked the H, Alex de la Cruz. Kit Blakemore came across a bit too sharp and clueless in the first half of the romance, but her son, Oliver, was a cutie.

If I could sum the romance up, it all boiled down to communication. Or lack of it, when it was convenient.

I was happy to revisit the small town of Seashell Harbor in this second book of the series. The series is focused on three friends and with a nod to Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants each friend takes a turn at wearing an old family ring. When they wear the ring it is their turn for romance. Kit Blakemore’s life has been on hold. When her husband dies while serving in the military she let her parents take care of her and her son Oliver. Now she is ready to make changes. She moves to her own place, tries to learn t-ball for her son and is returning to college to finish her degree. Her husbands best friend returns to town with a plan. Kit has inherited her husbands dilapidated Victorian house. If he can help her remodel it and get it sold it will fulfill his promise to help care of his friend's wife and son. Of course he never told Kit that he had feelings for her too.

Miranda Liasson writes kind characters with friends that are there for one another. I think she is also one of the better writers for closed door romances. You get the sizzling passion and even snuggling in bed talking without anything graphic. Oliver is an endearing child and the pets are an added bonus. I’m enjoying the series and am looking forward to Darla’s romance in the future. Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Kit Blackmore is a widow who is trying to restart her life with her son, Ollie, after the untimely death of her death of her husband, Carson, an Air Force pilot killed in action. She has moved in with her parents for their support, but is now that two years have passed, she is looking to find her own place without leaning on her parents for everything. There's a lot Kit needs to do to get her life in order though starting with going back to school and finally selling Carson's ramshackle beach house that should have been renovated years ago. At this point, Kit just wants to sell it as it has become a burden. Carson's best friend, Alex, is back in town and deep down feels a sense of obligation to Kit and her son. Kit would rather not deal with Alex though as he has always been very grumpy towards her; however, he has offered to help renovate the Victorian beach house to help get it back on the market for a good price. Alex is hiding more than one secret up his sleeve and perhaps he is just what Kit needs after all. Sea Glass Summer by Miranda Liasson is just the kind of adorable beach read I love to curl up with. There's a friends-to-something more romance, a second chance at love, a gorgeous coastal setting, and the small-town of Seashell Harbor that's filled with heartwarming characters.

🌴🏖🌈 MY REVIEW 🌴🏖🌈
Sea Glass Summer by Miranda Liasson is a story of love, loss, second chances and the story of Kit and Alex two wounded and hurting souls .This is one of those books that kept me up all night to read it. I totally could not put it down. Kit and all of the other great characters come together to create this amazing story in such an amazing town. Right from the start i knew Kit and Alex's story was going to be an emotional story. It was well written with us getting both of thier pov . Both of them had to work through deep emotional issues. I loved every second of the hurdles they overcame, their individual growth and their truly beautiful love story . I couldn't get enough of these characters. I especially loved how Alex took an instant bond to Ollie. That just warmed my heart. More than once I found myself wanting to just hold Ollie and wrap him in a big protective hug. This book totally gives you all the feels. I love how this Author writes, and the fact she always gives you Characters you just love. You just know these two were made for each other and it's so fun to watch as they figure that out, too! The whole story was extremely realistic and made the book a very interesting read. I can't wait for her next book.

I have never read a book I haven’t loved by author Miranda Liasson, this book is no exception. Being a long time military wife myself I was almost afraid to read about the anguish of a wife who lost her husband to a military accident. It is every military wife’s nightmare but it was well written and did not go into any details that could be potentially triggering. It was a beautiful story of a deep love lost and finding the strength to learn to live and love again. The story of the cute little beach town and the group of long time friends continues with the story of Kit and Alex. The story isn’t just the typical love story but adds in everyday life that is very relatable. Single parenting, little league games, relationships with parents, what’s for dinner and even a bit of home improvement DIY. Miranda Liasson has a way of writing that doesn’t have you rolling your eyes at the typical love story trappings. Alex and Kits story is sweet and fun and an easy summer beach read that I highly recommend. If you haven’t read book one in this series I highly recommend that one as well. So looking forward to book 3 and to see how Darcy and Nick fair and to revisit this fun group of friends.

Sea Glass Summer, the second book in author Miranda Liasson’s Seashell Harbor does not disappoint. Two people recovering from the loss of one man; the husband to Kit Blakemore and father of her son Ollie, and best friend to Alex de la Cruz who he served with in the military. This wasn’t an easy romance and this book in fact learned more towards women’s fiction with a heavy romantic element in that Kit after three years was ready to reclaim her former life; get her own place, go back and finish her degree, open to the possibility of dating, and rid herself of the old Victorian house her late husband inherited and had dreams of restoring for their family. Alex had one thing on his mind, spend his summer and his own money restoring the house so Kit could sell it and ensure her and Ollie’s future before he moved on with the dreams of going to law school. Filled with themes of loss, grieving, strength, longing, hope and love; Sea Glass Summer is the perfect feel-good, summer beach read.

It was easy to see from the beginning of this book that Kit’s friends and family had offered love and support after she lost her husband, but they also crippled her and she was feeling it. While some thought she was making rash decisions quite quickly, it was easy to see that she was a woman wanting to move on and figure out her new normal without relying of everyone. I admired her for that even when at times she was stubborn and didn’t want to ask for help. In a way I think her standing up to Alex whom she believes never really liked her gave her a boost of confidence she didn’t have and while she did compromise and grant him permission to work on the house she also let him know that she intended to be involved in the decisions about the house.

Alex really didn’t intend to get mixed up in Kit’s life but when he meets her son, his late best friend’s little boy, it was easy to see that he was going to have a hard time staying away. I loved that Alex was a stand up guy and he intended to do everything he could to restore the house so the sale of it would give Kit and Ollie the financial freedom her late husband wanted her to have. I also felt he had Kit and Ollie’s best interest at hand in everything that he said or did.

There was a connection, a tension between Kit and Alex that was undeniable and yes, part of it was the fact Alex had harbored feelings for Kit for a long time and Kit thought he didn’t like her, but most of it was chemistry they both tried to ignore.

I felt their relationship moved at a natural pace and there were ebbs and flows to it. It wasn’t easy because between them was a man they both loved and missed, yet what the two of them have was different and just as important.

While I loved the moments between Alex and Kit as they were so obviously falling for one another some of my favorite moments were between Alex and Ollie as Alex guided Ollie through little hurdles with ease and patience. I loved their sweet conversations about t-ball, Carson (Ollie’s dad), and even life.

Once I began reading Sea Glass Summer, I could not put it down. Beautifully told with characters that charm and steal your heart, I loved this novel.

Kit is a single mom whose husband died in combat when their son was just a toddler. His best friend Alex return to their hometown to help her restore the old house her husband left her. But he has always loved Kit and strives to hide his feelings from her.

This book got me in the feels. I highlighted so many quotes that spoke to me about life and fear and grief. I already knew that I enjoyed Miranda Liasson's writing, but this book went to a new level. I loved all of the characters and so enjoyed seeing the interactions with Ollie, Kit's 5-year-old. The balance of emotion and comedy was so well done. And I laughed a bunch at lemons and their related puns.

This is a sweet, closed door, beachy romance. It's the Second in the series but stands alone.

Thank you to Forever for the advanced reader copy. These opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed the first book in Miranda Liasson’s Seashell Harbor series, COMING HOME TO SEASHELL HARBOR. I couldn’t wait to dive into book 2, SEA GLASS SUMMER. It wasn’t quite as good. I often find this happens in either the second or third book in a series—the author starts off with a bang and then loses steam or has a hard time coming up with that second or third story. That happened to me here with SEA GLASS SUMMER. It wasn’t a horrible read. The writing is good. Liasson tells a good story. This one was just repetitive to the point if it wasn’t for review I would have skimmed instead of sitting to read every sentence on every page. After the first twenty times, pretty much on every other page, I got it that Kit mourned Carson’s death. The same can be said for how much Alex missed him. The story would have been about fifty pages shorter without the constant reminders that Carson was dead and they missed him and a much tighter read without it.

I wondered if maybe because this one came out three months earlier if Liasson was on a tight deadline and got rushed getting this one done. Readers are told Alex and Carson were lifelong friends, but until the big reveal about some of Carson’s language, nothing is really said about that friendship—not how they met, not things they did together, not how they made their decision to go into the Air Force together or how they convinced the Air Force to give them the same training and put them in the same squadron. And since Kit knew Carson from their teen years, how did she not know really much about Alex’s friendship with him? Maybe a few pages about Alex and Carson’s history and less about how much the miss him would have made for a better read.

There are some scenes that made me smile. Others that tugged at my heart when Ollie was the focus. Seymour the cat kind of summed up how it is to be a stranger in a new house dealing with new situations. I’ll continue to read Liasson’s books and am looking forward to Darla and Nick’s story.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.

As the wife of a retired military spouse reading books with this theme can be a bit emotional. Especially when certain subjects are at the forefront. As always, Miranda Liasson keeps a firm grasp on what she is portraying and how she delivers it.

I found Sea Glass Summer to be ultimately uplifting and inspiring. Giving a voice to grief and the ability to create a new normal. This was beautifully done.

I absolutely adored this book. It's a first for me from the author Miranda Liasson but I have been wanting to read her books for forever. It's sweet, it's clean, it's everything that I want in a contemporary romance novel.

The story and world building are utterly fantastic. All of the characters are well fleshed out and have interesting personalities. I wish I had friends like these. I wish this place really existed. However, I am just happy about the fact that I can always go back and visit any time I want. Ollie is adorable, I absolutely loved Kit and her family. They literally throw themselves into anything, even when they may or may not agree with their daughter's choices.

At first, I wasn't a huge fan of Alex. I thought he seemed overly stiff and just generally hard to get along with. But then you find out later that he is just an ooey gooey marshmallow on the inside, especially when it comes to Kit and her son Ollie. Once he really started to open up, you can see how well these two match up. Almost too well to be honest. It was a long road getting there but it was a road well worth the trip.

Seeing both of them able to open up and move past their grief even a little bit made my heart extremely happy. The pain, fear, want, and need were very palpable. It just pulls on your heartstrings. You ache for them to get together and to be able to heal.

This may have been my first book of Miranda's but it certainly won't be my last. I absolutely loved this book and I recommend this book to everyone. Especially if you could use a huge dash of happiness these days.

Miranda Liasson writes such wonderful stories about living and the daily struggles, heartaches and the love and feel good moments. This was a second chance at love trope.

I could really relate to what Kit was going through, because my husband had some friends from the military that experienced the same catastrophic loss of the husband (a helicopter pilot) dying on a mission. Moving on is very hard, if not next to impossible. I can also relate to the survivor's guilt that Alex experienced, as it is so rampant among the military. Liasson did a fantastic job presenting those feelings.

Little Oliver was the icing on the cake. The way in which Alex interacted with him would have broken through the walls thrown up by anyone. Kit didn't stand a chance, even though she almost sabotaged the relationship. Alex's guilt was enough to have him ready to abandon the relationship multiple times, but the feelings were just too strong. Them working things out was painful at times, but so worth it in the end. This book left me feeling better than any book has in quite awhile!

If for no other reason, you need to read this just for Kit's reaction to Alex buying a pink toilet to put in the house she is going to sell. Alex is indeed all man!

Sea Glass Summer by Miranda Liasson is the second book in the Seashell Harbor series.

Kit is ready to start a new life with her five-year-old son, Oliver. She’s been grieving since her husband, Carson, died while serving military. Now, three years later, Kit is ready to move on, find herself, and finish her degree. For that, she has to sell the shabby Victorian in Seashell Harbor that her husband left her. But she decides to spend the summer there with Oliver to make memories.
Once there, Kit starts renovating the house with Alex, Carson’s best friend, who offers to help with the repair cost. Alex is a retired pilot who is still grieving the loss of his best friend.

I have to say while reading this book I was watching the characters from a distance, I could see how Alex and Kit get closer and slowly fall in love. The story was charming, I enjoyed it even more than the first one. It was like sitting with my friend and chatting about our lives.

If you enjoy reading fast-paced and delightful summer reads, this is the book you should read this summer.
Many thanks to Forever and Grand Central for this copy.

A MUST put on your Summer reading list. A heartwarming story about a single mother, struggling to start over after her husband's death. A beautiful second chance love story with an absolutely adorable little boy. You just want to hug sweet Oliver, 'Ollie.' A strong, sweetheart of a hero. Alex de La Cruz is my new book boyfriend. I couldn't put this book down. There were a few times I wanted to shake heroine, Kit. But I completely understood and got it. I just love Miranda Liasson and this is my favorite of her's yet.

Kit is still adjusting to life with Carson. She needs to do something about the old house they bought to fix up too.
Alex was Carson’s best friend and had promised to look after Kit and Ollie.
Alex has decided to spend the summer redoing the house Kit and Carson bought. It’s the least he can do for his best friend. He’s just not sure if he’ll be able put aside his feelings for Kit.
It’s a nice love story, perfect for your summer reading.

Sea Glass Summer is a wonderfully romantic story about old friends, new beginnings, surviving loss and finding new love. Alex was Kit’s late husband’s best friend and consumed by guilt that he survived Afghanistan while his friend didn’t. He also always has been hugely attracted to Kit. Author Miranda Liasson has created characters that readers can identify with and believable dialogue. Kit’s young son Ollie often steals the show as he struggles to fit in. This book was a pleasure to get immersed in. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Highly recommend.

After reading Coming Home to Seashell Harbor last summer, I have been waiting for Sea Glass Summer. Unfortunately, I didn’t connect with Kit and Alex the same way as Hadley and Cam. Ollie was a very cute character, and I enjoyed how he was involved in Kit and Alex’s relationship. I would recommend reading it to continue the series.
Read if you like:
- (fake) enemies to lovers
- small town coastal charm
- high school friends
- home restoration
Thank you to Forever for the copy.

I loved it! I could picture the quaint little beach town. All the characters were unforgettable but especially Ollie. I didn’t realize this was a series so I can’t wait to go buy the other two books!!
