Grimm

If you read this series you know there is suspense, romance, steam with our Special Forces Veterans now back home. This one is Grimm and can be read as a stand alone with no problems. I say this is a fun read as there is a treasure map, and treasure note. Reading the clues and following them with Dezi (our trained chef) and Grimm our Special Forces Vet was a new twist keeping this series alive and well. Sadly greedy people are everywhere and besides the death of Dezi's uncle there is more trouble along the way. Penny (the missing friend) is mentioned and we receive a clue on the mystery. Speaking of clues, I had no clue who the guilty party was. Completely caught me off guard. Thank you for the arc! This book is a lot of fun to read! The two main characters are Mike Reaper "Grimm" and Dezi Thomas. Grimm has been offered a job with Hank Patterson's Brotherhood Protectors, but is tired of protecting folks and being shot at so he is part of a construction crew working on the Lucky Lady Lodge. The Lodge is where Dezi has been hired to be the new Chef. From the moment Grimm and Dezi met at the Lodge there is attraction and chemistry between them.
After receiving a letter from her recently deceased uncle, Dezi ends up on a Treasure Hunt. To keep her protected and safe, Grimm goes along with her on this Treasure Hunt. While Dezi and Grimm are on the Treasure Hunt I enjoyed getting to know them and watching them become romantically involved.
There is so much going on in this book. You will find wonderful characters, it's action-packed, murders, mysteries, suspense, unexpected twists and turns, entertainment, and romance. You can read the book as a stand-a-lone because it's written so well and all of the questions are answered. The books is easy to read and a page-turner. I found myself at the end of the book before I realized I was there.
I received a free copy of this book for a honest review. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys military romance and romance suspense books. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

What a fantabulous read!!! I absolutely adored Grimm and Dezi.
This was such an exciting read. I so enjoyed solving the cryptic clues alongside them. It was so much fun!!
All the men in this series are total alpha males, and Grimm is no different. He’s a protector at heart with a strong moral compass ingrained in his soul. Plus he’s totally hot!!
Watching him fight his growing feelings for Dezi, telling himself it was casual whilst battling all these new, deep feelings he’s never experienced before made my heart ache for him.
Dezi is a stunning character. She’s beautiful inside and out. She’s a combination of open and caring, funny and sweet, strong and stubborn and filled with determination to finish the quest set for her.
This story, for me, portrays the important point that the people in your life don’t have to be related by blood to be family. Sometimes the family we choose is far stronger than those we tolerate.
This story by Elle James was equally as perfect as all those written previously but with the extra excitement of walking alongside Grimm and Dezi and trying to help solve the clues to find the most valuable treasure there is - love.

Mike "Grimm" Reaper is a former Delta Force operator. After getting out of the service, he finds himself at the Lucky Lady Lodge in Montana working on a construction crew. Grimm had decided he wanted nothing to do with war, protecting people, or the military.
Dezi Thomas was willing to be the Chef at the Lodge. She could try out new recipes on the crew which was made up of hungry construction men who love her cooking. She is alone in the world except for an elderly uncle. Then she gets a call from her uncle's attorney telling her that he had died and she must come get something he left for her in Bozeman. Molly, the owner of the Lodge, doesn't think she should go on her own, so Grimm decides to go with her.

From that point on these two find themselves in a scavenger hunt. One filled with a killer determined to get to the treasure no matter who stands in the way.
Will they survive the danger? What is the treasure? At the end , will they also find their HEA, the greatest treasure of all?
This was a fast paced entertaining story in the series. Always fun to get a chance to “visit” with Hank and his crew.

Grimm by Elle James is book #7 in the Iron Horse Legacy series. Dezi Thomas has returned to her hometown of Eagle Rock and has been hired as the chef at the Lucky Lady Lodge. Mike "Grimm" Reaper is ex Delta Force and is working along with some of his Delta brothers doing demolition work on the part of the lodge that had been damaged in an earlier book in the series. Dezi's fabulous cooking skills and vulnerability on her quest to follow the clues her murdered uncle sent to her for a treasure hunt attracted Grimm to her. Grimm ends up being Dezi's bodyguard during the danger on the treasure hunt. Definitely a unique way to begin this couple's relationship.
I really enjoyed having to follow the clues in the letter Dezi's Uncle Leon sent to her which has made this a very intriguing storyline. I really like the characters. The camaraderie amongst the friends makes this a fun read. The action and suspense is fast and intriguing. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Another great read in this latest series about ex special forces operators who have had enough of the death and destruction of their previous careers and have taken up saws and hammers to help with the reconstruction of The Lucky Lady Lodge. But things don't go according to plan and as they find the woman that is meant for them they are drawn back to that world to keep their loved one safe
This is the story of Michael "Grimm" Reaper and Dezi Thomas she is the new chef working at the lodge and she is happy and joyful the total opposite of Grimm who well and truly lives up to his call sign. When a letter from her uncle leads Dezi on a treasure hunt where someone is willing to kill to get the treasure Grimm doesn't hesitate to act as her bodyguard and as the danger escalates he realises he will do anything to keep this woman safe. Can they survive and can they build a future together you will have to read to see

Mercy! This series just gets better and better. Grimm is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Elle James. She has not only crafted a well-written story loaded with an outstanding cast of characters, but will have readers glued to their seats from start to finish. Grimm (and who doesn't love a hero with that moniker?) is a former Delta Force and is now helping renovate the Lucky Lady Lodge. Dezi is a chef at the lodge. When Dezi has to go to Bozeman after learning her uncle was dead. Grimm and Dezi's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I loved reading Grimm and can't wait for my next Elle James book. Grimm is book 7 of the Iron Horse Legacy Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

Done with an army and mercenary stint, former Delta Mike 'Grimm' Reaper decided he was done with bullets, danger, targeting and targeted. Construction with other vets, some with PTSD, instead of a slot on a Brotherhood team was a good fit for him. After culinary school, Eagle Rock native, Dezi Thomas decided to accept the chef spot as her friend rebuilt Lucky Lady was a good move except, one of their childhood friend’s is missing.
Dezi tempts Grimm from working too hard with the tasty morsels she provides crew and her bosses. Over dinner, Dezi mentions her uncle passed away and she needs to take care of his things; she also reads a note her uncle sent. They all decide the note is full of clues, Dezi admits her uncle was a treasure hunter. At the door to her rooms, Dezi’s shocked someone’s inside destroying her things. He pulls a knife on Dezi and Grimm is powerless to help.

I enjoyed this book. It is not your usual plot. But it is suspenseful and romantic. There are also plenty of twists and turns with surprises to keep you reading.

I thought trying to figure out the puzzle/treasure hunt was an entertaining aspect to the story.
While reading this book, time seemed to speed by. Grimm initially running into Devi left him gobsmacked. (I always wanted to use that word, lol.) It's always interesting to me how the characters fall in love so quickly, but it doesn't feel as fast as it actually happens.
Considering the situation, and the danger, I was surprised Grimm didn't push the idea of backup earlier on in their hunt. After everything that happened to Devi, I was surprised she wasn't insisting on it.
This was a fast paced, sweet, romantic suspense with action, danger, and intrigue at the forefront, all culminating in a happy ever after.

Elle James wrote such an amazing book in Grimm (Iron Horse Legacy Book 7)! Grimm has retired from Delta Force and is not interested in doing any kind of protection or security work. Been there, done that in Afghanistan, not wanting to repeat it. He’s happy to just help with construction around the Lucky Lady Lodge. Enter a very cheerful chef, Dezi Thomas, who inherits a treasure hunt from her late uncle, and is all in on following her inheritance. Grimm saves her once, and suddenly he is all In on keeping her safe and following clues with her. Elle James is brilliant. Such a great read!

I absolutely loved this book – and Dezi is undoubtedly one of my favorite characters. The scene where we first meet her is delightful, and her chemistry with Grimm is undeniable, however hard they try to deny it. The story itself is slightly heartsore, but for those who have been reading from the start, there’s a bit of hope I wasn’t expecting. There’s also a strong sense of family, of family not necessarily being tied by blood but by love, that really resonated with me. I look forward to the next with eager anticipation.

The "sisters" are the main characters here. Six women, including Molly McKinnon and Deputy Cassie Douglas, are close friends and still live in or around Eagle Rock. One of them left for Hollywood with her boyfriend. She disappeared and her friends were left mystified. When Dezi Thomas, one of the sisters, takes up her new job as head chef at the renovated resort, she steps into a maze. Grimm, one of the former military veterans working on the remodel, takes on the task of guarding Dezi, who is suddenly in danger. It turns out to be both good and bad news.

Dezi has returned home to take a job with her best friend as a chef at the hotel she is renovating. This is another story tied to the Brotherhood Protectors series. This is a fun story that sends the characters on treasure hunt. They have to stay ahead of a killer hunting them all while falling in love.

We're back at the Lucky Lady and we are getting Grimm's story and why he thinks he can't have a HEA with a family. Dezi who is the new chief for the Lucky Lady who gets threatened Grimm comes to her rescue. With the murder of her uncle and a treasure map the drama and suspense start. There's also plenty of twists and turns and surprises. And we get a clue about Penny. Can't wait to see where we head next.

Grimm meets Desi as he's renovating the lodge & Desi is the new Chef. Grimm has way too many reasons to never fall in love, but there's something about Desi that draws him in. When her uncle dies and leaves her with a very complicated puzzle to solve, Grimm decides he will go with her and be her protector. Little do either of them know how dangerous solving this puzzle will be. This was an all consuming read that I had to finish before I did anything else! It was that good!!!

A pixie chef, Dezi, is taken by a tall muscular former military man, Grimm. Their attraction is comes together by some mouth watering food. Now Dezi has a treasure map from a beloved relative. A mystery map containing cryptic clues to unknown treasure. Now what happens when treasure is mentioned, people get hurt or worse, things get stolen and trust goes out the window.

I love the story and series. All of Ms James' books are awesome. Dezi Thomas is the new chef at the Lucky Lady Lodge. Grimm and his teammates are restoring the lodge after an explosion damaged it. Grimm witnesses someone holding Dezi hostage and is determined to save her and keep her safe. Who wants to hurt her? A great suspense story with action and romance.

Grimm is a five star gentleman! Even when all he wants to do is work on the construction project for the lodge and stay away from bodyguarding positions. When Desi needs help he's the first to volunteer. Desi's uncle dies and she receives a letter from him, she knows she has to dig deeper into the mystery he has left. I enjoyed the hunt for clues and the way both Grimm and Desi connect and get to know each other along the way. A great blend of suspense, intrigue, and romance.

So much packed into this book. Dezi is the chef at the lodge and Grimm is working renovating it. Dezi finds herself on a treasure hunt after her uncle dies and leaves her strange clues. Grimm is retired special forces and finds himself wanting to keep her safe as danger comes knocking at their door. Hank, from Brotherhood Protectors, offers to help and they gladly accept. The hunt is on with death and suspense everywhere.

Grimm agreed to be Dezi's bodyguard while she followed her uncle's clues. As these two follow the clues, they find out people were murdered, including her uncle. As they go along, they also follow their hearts. The bad guy was a total surprise. FANTASTIC job Elle! I would recommend this book! On to the next book!

That was freaking crazy!! How can people b so greedy on things they know nothing about? A sweet innocent woman named Dezi got a strange call about her uncle died and he was her only living relative. When she tries 2 find out the clues he left and strict instructions 4 her she has 2 get a body guard cause of things that happened. Can she find the most treasure that her uncle wanted her 2 learn and understand? Read and find out. It will keep u on ur toes that's 4 sure!! I loved it!!

Awesome read! I enjoyed Dezi and Grimm's story. They go on a journey to find her Uncle Leon's treasure by following her now dead Uncle's crazy clues! What they find will surprise you. And of course, she needs protection from her Uncle's killer. Lots of action and steamy-ness!! We all learn something about love and family!

Wow the author kept you on an exciting adventure, with plenty of twists and turns and suspense. Enjoyed getting back to the lodge and reconnecting with the other characters. Glad Grimm got his HEA. Now for the suspense still surrounding Penny. Who knows maybe they'll find her somewhere in the old Lodge.
