Walking into the wrong room and catching one of my best friend’s triplet brothers in the shower was going to cost me EVERYTHING.
Especially since it was her wedding... and I was the maid of honor.
I should have turned around. Friends never sleep with their friends’ brothers. It’s code. Instead, Warren gave me pleasure like I’ve never experienced. Then his brothers joined in on the fun.
Growing up, the triplets always tormented me. I was the nerdy, awkward girl they teased. They were arrogant jerks that made my life hell. Naturally, I wanted nothing to do with them.
But when they touched me, my skin felt like it was on fire. Every word they whispered in my ear was intoxicating. I craved them more than I feared the consequences.
Now, it’s only a matter of time until my dark past comes knocking at the door, and all of my dirty little secrets are revealed.
The Strickland Brothers may have my heart, but do they love me enough to pick up its broken pieces? Can I save my friendship and her wedding before it’s too late?
18+ Only. Standalone contemporary reverse harem romance with a HEA.
So I liked this book overall bc it was HOT, but there were a couple of things that irritated me about it.
The h in this story (Sara) is the bestie of a soon-to-be bride (Macy), a woman that she grew up with and whose triplet older brothers tormented when she was young. They spread rumors about her when she was in school that drove potential suitors away, and did the whole "pull the pigtails on the playground" stuff. They basically made her childhood and teens a living hell and wrecked her self-2.5esteem. She hasn't seen them in 10 years and is not looking forward to it, so her plan is to avoid them as she has also just caught her bf cheating on her, so she is at an all-time personal low, but she feels she has to be happy for her friend and must participate in a week-long celebration that the eldest triplet (Andrew) is funding.
Her plan is almost immediately thwarted when there is a mishap at the reception desk, and Sara ends up being given the key to a giant suite... as she explores the huge area, she hears what sounds like water and follows the source only to find one of the triples (Warren) fully naked and jerking off in the shower. Warren immediately spots her and somehow convinces her that they can have a one-time sexcapade that no one will ever know about. So Sara seems to forget that he was a total d!ck to her and jumps his bones in a very hot scene. Sara is immediately mortified and flees to find the correct hotel room, telling herself she will never do that again.
But when she encounters the other 2 brothers (Andrew & Lucas), she ends up fooling around with Warren in front of them, and then later gets it on with each of them individually and then as a group. They leave the choice up to her as to whether she wants to be in a relationship with all of them, and she experiences significant angst as she ponders the choice, much of which has to do with her deep-rooted self-esteem problems and her feelings that being with 3 brothers seems morally "wrong" and "slutty."
The issues I had with this were that as much as Sara revisits the torture at the hands of the brothers (and they did some sh!tty stuff!!), she doesn't confront them about it until well into the book after she has gotten it on with at least a couple of them. They insist it was because they knew she was "special" and were "protecting" her from the douchebags she seemed to gravitate towards. The things they did, though, seemed pretty extreme and downright cruel. The other issue I had was the amount of time she spend thinking how shameful and how other people would think she was a slut for being with 3 men. There were a couple other things (ex, the ex showed up and f#ckery ensued that seemed entirely unnecessary.... and then the other brothers called Andrew "Andy" once and then "Drew" another time....?). Just inconsistencies and oddities.
But it was HOT HOT HOT so if you are good with some unnecessary angst and drama, the steamy goodness is the payoff.
Plot --- 2.5/5 Writing Style --- 3/5 Main Characters --- 2/5 Supporting Cast --- 2/5 Steam Level* --- 4.5/5 Violence --- nothing significant or graphic Triggers --- emotional abuse/self-esteem issues Language --- some POV --- 1st (h)
*Note that steam level is not a rating so much as a how hot was it: 0/5 - clean; 1/5 - mild (nothing descriptive); 2/5 - 3rd base action/1 home run; 3/5 - now we're getting somewhere (a couple of full-on steamy scenes); 4/5 - yes please! (erotica territory); 5/5 - they did EVERYTHING in this one, y'all
This is a simple sweet read, however, it is a little insta-lovey and I am not a huge fan of that. As always with Rebel Bloom books, I think they could use more emotional depth and connection as well.
Good enough to have spent the time reading it. I'd give the smut scenes a 7 out of 10. Would have been better without the body-shaming (FMC to herself) and slut-shaming (FMC to herself and from other side characters).
4.5/5 Amazing for a debut novel. I enjoyed the story even from a single pov. The spice was very present. 3.8/5 And I completely adored and swooned over the ending!! Loved It.
I don’t mind a why choose. I even was willing to overlook that they were triplets (that was a bit hard tbh), but there were a few things I just could not get over: 1) this girl is at her best friend’s wedding and the one thing has made clear their entire lives is that her brothers are off limits to her friends, so what does the FMC do? Bone all 3 brothers at once at her best friend’s wedding weekend and sort of ruin the wedding 2) WHY MUST SHE HAVE FORGOTTEN TO TAKE HER BC??? WHAT THE EFF WE DID NOT NEED THAT 3) she has the triplet brothers’ triplet babies 4) so so so much hand wringing about if she’s morally reprehensible for being with 3 guys at once. Like I don’t need that every other page in a KU why choose. Just have fun and stop repeating yourself in frantic fashion causing the trips to talk you off a ledge every five minutes
I read this for a donation to Kids In Need of Defense. I did it for the children.
I guess I’m comparing this to Billionaire Brothers Nanny - and that one was much better written - this book was in need of a proofreader.
The beginning was choppy. I couldn’t decipher whether this FC was overweight, was once overweight, Or what. Looking at the book cover, you would never know either. Was the smut there? Sure. It was just weird because I’ve never read a book of this trope to which it felt the need to repeat the word ‘harem’ throughout 🙄. But like I said, I guess I’m comparing this to the first read by this author and this one fell short.
What the actual fuck??? This was a complete wreck y'all. I'm so fucking over other people and the FMC shaming herself for being in a RH. Like we're living in the 21st centure ffs, we gotta stop slut shaming women and stop incorporating that typa shit into fiction jesus🤡🤡🤡
This was quite well written and had a good story along with the steamy , which to me is a must. I must say the characters were developed well and had great chemistry together, tempers and affection were all there. I’ll look for more from this author soon
This was the first book that I couldn’t wait to end. The amount of crying a grown ass woman did in a matter of days was too much. Is it possible my SSRI just made me forget that urge? Maybe.
Also, the end was cute but come on. That whole event was beyond far fetched. Are you questioning why I think that is far fetched but all these relationships seem hunky dory to me? Yep, me too.
I wanted to read another one by Rebel after I loved the last one so much (Fake and Don’t Tell) and this one was still very cute. Not quite as good as the previous and I didn’t laugh out loud either, but it was still cute and a fun read, AND considering it was her first RH I was still fairly impressed. It’s good to see the growth in Rebel’s story telling between the two. 3/5
Literally stop calling her cupcake before I vom. Look I knew what I was getting into with this book…..was not expecting anything life changing….BUT CUPCAKE?!! Cmon she’s a grown woman not an infant….bleh
I couldn't put this book down. I'm not even tired either so imma grab another one of her books and just stay up and read all of it too. This is also the second book in the second day I have read straight through of hers
I’m giving this 3.5⭐️. It was silly, fun and just what I needed. I really like Rebel’s why chooses but you can definitely tell this is her first one as the quality and style of her writing gets better and better!!
One woman unlucky with love, three men searching for the one woman they can share their life with.
Sara, just out of a two year relationship after catching her boyfriend cheating, is still nursing a wounded heart and low self esteem.
While attending her best friend's wedding, she's forced to face her childehood bullies Andrew, Lucas and Warren, who just happens to be her best friend's brothers. The attraction and the chemistry is strong and sparks fly. Can they convince her that they have changed, that they are not the arrogant jerks they used to be?
Can she trust them not only with her body, but with her heart as well?
This was a fun story with some hot and steamy scenes, and with a good dose of drama.
Even though the men are identical triplets, the author did a good job giving each of them their own personalities. I do love the possessive "mine" vibe the guys have going on, they can share with eachother, but no one else.
There were a few things i found frustrating: She gave in to her lust way to easily after everything the guys had put her trough in the past. They should have had to grovel for her forgivnes, at the veryleast given her a big, sincere apology before she let them get anywhere with her. They had alot of shit to make up for.
It also annoyed me that multiple times throughout the story it was implied that having sex with more than one person at a time is disgusting and would make her a whore, skank, slut, freak etc. Threesomes, foursomes and so on are fairly common, not just in books or in porn.
But i'm a sucker for RH romance and especially if there's a bit of taboo in the mix (in this case, best friends brothers) so i did enjoy the story!
I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
Check TW! Spoilers! ☑️Reverse harem ☑️Sunshine/grumpy ☑️Forbidden love(Best-friends brothers) ☑️Bullying ☑️Alpha ☑️Triplets ☑️Betrayal She is at a resort for her best friends wedding. Is nervous about running into her three childhood bullies, which are the brides triplet brothers. When she sees them, the opposite happens, instant attraction between all four of them. Yet she is unable to forget the past, and they explain why they bullied her as a child. She has to hide her feelings and hooking up with them, because it would destroy her best friend. After her ex shows up to try to win her back, everything goes bad when he sees her and the triplets going into a room together. The bride finds out and says hurtful things to her and asks her to leave. She tries to leave but the triplets stop her on time, and show and tell her how they feel for her. After everyone apologizes, things workout.
I just felt the need to throw a reverse harem book into the mix, and this one turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We have triplet brothers and a best friend's wedding (sister of the brothers). Plus, there's a pesky ex. Our female protagonist has to learn that she is indeed desirable after her ex did a number on her, forgive the brothers for being awful to her when she was younger, and push past the taboo of taking on three lovers because the guys are ready for her. She's...not there quite yet. Lots of sexy scenes, but I appreciated that there was still an okay plot going on. I was a little flabbergasted at the two week wedding thing. Like, who has the money to take two weeks off for a wedding? But what do I know, right? The wedding stuff went on and on, and I was like, "How long is this thing?" Too long. But long enough to fall in love with three brothers, so it works out.
Why did you read this book? I was wanted to read a light on drama RH romance and this one had good ratings.
What format did you read this book in? Read it as an ebook on Kindle.
Is this an educational book or a book for entertainment? I read this book for pure entertainment purposes.
What genres do you think this book belongs to? Chick Lit, Contemporary, Romance
What was your favorite part in the book? I think my favorite part in the book was when the guys were holding their children. Too cute.
Who would you suggest this book to? Anyone who likes RH romances with very little drama.
What is your general opinion/ rating of this book? Meh, this story was okay. It didn’t add that much of a fresh take on an already overused troupe. So if your looking for something different, this isn’t going to be the story for you. The love interests didn’t have that much of a difference in personality and it was hard to tell them apart. The MC frustrated me at times, she was so wish-washy but then turned into a stubborn brat at other times. Also the ex-boyfriend showing up for no reason was never explained and didn’t make sense. It was like the author just threw drama in there without any good reasoning to it. I think that summarizes the book. I read it hoping that there would be more “surprise baby” scenes in it, but these scenes seemed to be rushed at the end of the book. Overall, I didn’t care for the book, but if you like the common troupes you may like it.
Are there any cliché scenes or concepts? (If yes, does the author add something unique to them?) The MC instantly forgiving the men that bullied her. Guys instantly falling into lust/love with MC. MC having terrible ex-lovers who show up for no reason to create drama. Creeper dude trying to get into MC pants.
How intense are the intimacy scenes? The intimacy scenes were very intense. MF, MFMM, Voyeurism.
At what “burn” level is the romance? HOT
Love interests, how many of them are there and what gender? There are three love interests, all of them males and brothers. Warren- Ladies man. Andrew- Rich millionaire. Lucas- Badboy.
Any trigger warnings? Mental Health: Suicide Idealization, Trivializing Mental Illness, Romanticized Mental Illness, Emotional Abuse, Panic Attacks, Trauma, Confrontation Abuser Sexual Content: Explicit Sex Scene, Masturbation, Oral Sex Violence and Death: Violence, Described Blood Other: Slut Shaming, Body Shaming, Female Oppression, Adultery, Bullying, Profanity
I just stumbled on this book & decided to give it a try. I personally find menage/ RH to either be a huge hit or a huge miss and in this case…. DEFINITELY A HUGE HIT!!!! Loved it!!!!
I’m looking forward to picking up more books by this author. I LOVED the steam level! This book is smoking hot!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A few reasons I took off one star, including some over-the-top drama with Mr. Want-be-boyfriend & Mr. Ex Boyfriend. These were sort of dumb plot lines created just for the sake of adding some semblance of a plot, while a good effort, these storylines kind of stunk and wasted time. Plus, lots of slut shaming going on, not only by aforementioned jerks but also a few problematic, critical females.
Another issue was with the triplet guys. It sounds like not only were they VERY VERY cruel to our heroine while growing up, but they caused some really serious self-esteem damage. Chalking it up to your basic ‘boys are mean when they like a girl’ was just not enough for the emotional damage they caused.
I also felt like I could have used just a bit more character development. Where are this girls parents/ family? She had an interesting yet unconventional schooling, stating she went to law school and is now a baker (huh? That sounded like it could use more than a casual mention with no explanation). There are a few different characteristics unique to each brother (one has tattoos, one is a control freak, one is super chill?) but that’s LITERALLY ALL WE KNOW! Do they live near each other? What do they do for a living? One is a billionaire (of course, lol, but how?). And how do they know absolutely NOTHING about their sisters BFF, and have not seen her in 10 years? Yet, fall in love & into bed within literal seconds of reuniting even tho they seem to be complete strangers. Like, ‘we have always liked you but couldn’t be bothered to even ask about you over the past 10 years, and now we just happen to bump into each other and realize we are soulmates’. Meh, weak.
Yeah that’s a lot of complaints, but ultimately it’s a reverse harem, which we don’t really read for the detailed plot, am I right? This author can write a great sex scene, both couple & menage, which if we’re being honest, is what really counts 🥵🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥
So A+ for that and I’ll be reading everything by this author!
This is the second book I've read from Rebel Bloom and I would like to say that this book is a massive improvement from 'My Brother's Best Friends' .
I loved how all of the serious issues that the FMC Sara had to go through were resolved in a proper manner in this book. I love how the people who had hurt her during their younger years apologized about their childishness and also explained their side, albeit knowing and admitting that what they've done was wrong, they still explained their childish reasoning from the past and asked for forgiveness. Not only that but they promised to protect her hereon out. Later on in the story, I also understand the reaction of Macy, Sara's best friend regarding her brothers. I mean given the situation, I think that her reaction is normal. Most of the time when shocked and hurt our main reaction is to lash out and hurt. That's what Macy did. But like all real friendships, both women couldn't bear losing their best friend and patched things up while also trying to understand the situation. Although I must point out that during the lashing out period, Sara was shamed by her best friend regarding her choice. Shaming did occur at least thrice in the story, under different situations, regarding the concept of polyamory. Lastly, while the story's time frame does seem a little bit too fast, it was still done in a manner that weaves everything perfectly in the end.
Overall I love the story, the growth, and the resolutions. The steam is also top notch.
Enjoying this author and the whole 1 chick with triplets deal but idk something felt lacking with this. The mountain men one felt more adult since there was sifferent locations and more real life whereas this one was all at a resort sans a quick hot spring visit for like 5 seconds and they had seperate rooms and it was a secret and idk i felt like all their history meant they didnt real have that fun getting to know eachother phase and yet all their history wasnt good at all like they were bullies so idk it felt less wnjoyable than mountain men and the whole multiple dbags thing felt unnecessary idk i expected more focus on the guys and her and less on wedding etc drama. I guess it wasnt bad or any cons per say but it lacked a balance and connection and frankly some humour that i felt existed with mountain men but apparently this was the debut book so for that reason you can see in the later books improvement and i kinda wish there wash some crssover like one rh met the other rh at some sort of rh retreat lol or something and these books of the titles didnt give it away are all basically the same story different settings which dont get me wrong i love and will continue to but if you dont like one book you probably wont like any of the others.
Ill defs be cracking open another soon as theyrw such easy reads for the most part.
Here's the thing. I'm a sucker for a RH trope. I absolutely just gobble the stuff up and this was no different. I absolutely loved the way the guys (Andrew, Lucas & Warren) protect her (Sara) especially from herself and other people as well. But, I absolutely did not like the way she kept trashing herself. I can't say I understand how deeply her insecurity is ingrained in her mind, but I wasn't personally a fan of so much self hate? I'm not sure if that's the right word. I most definitely did not like the way her best friend turned on her and called her names. That just felt sad as heck.
But apart from that, I loved every other aspect of the relationship between the boys and Sara.
“We’re not freaks. And you’re not some bitch in heat. You’re the fucking sun, and that piece of shit will never have a chance to touch you because he doesn’t understand that. Worlds revolve around you. We get that. He never will.”
And this absolutely killed me. In the best way possible. I started smiling and giggling like a damn fool when I was reading. And lastly, words cannot describe how satisfied I was when Sara broke Milo's (her cheating ex) nose.
What can you find in this book? Childhood bullies to Lovers RH Trope Accidental pregnancy (in the end) Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 Mentions of Cheating, Bullying, Insecurity, etc

I didn’t realise until I got right to the end that this was Rebel’s first reverse harem book… because I’ve already read most of her others before this one. I’m actually surprised that it is her first because it’s good… really good and I’ve enjoyed it as much as the others.
What Rebel does well is create three loveable characters that are each unique in their own way of loving our FMC… in this case it’s Sara. What I also like is that whilst each woman is beautiful, she uses real women with flaws, curves and not the size zero model types. She always shows that beauty isn’t a one-size-fits-all concept, and that I really like.
With pretty much every romance book, there’s that gut punch moment that you know is coming. And whilst it happens here too, I’m really pleased with how her men handle it. And yes, it’s men… plural. Triplets to be exact which I guess is understandable. If they all look the same I suppose it stands to reason that you’d find each one attractive, but there’s enough of a difference between them to make it work.
Having read this though… one thing is for certain. A week long wedding sounds like my kind of hell. Far too much to plan and be organised for.
Really loved this book, as I have all her others. Only a few more left to read in her back catalogue now. Wholly recommend this writer.
Just not as good as the other two Rebel Bloom books I've read so far. All three of the triplets seem the same, personality wise, despite assurances from the author that they're totally different. The plot was basically nonexistent, and Macy's repeated insistence that Sara was her best friend and can only be her best friend and must be the most important person in her life was kind of gross. And the incredible overuse of Sara's pet name Cupcake drove me up a wall (149 results in a 210 page book, for the record). I actually had to go back to chapter one to remember Sara's actual name, because it's basically replaced by Cupcake once the guys are introduced.
There's also a great deal of slut shaming, fat shaming (I think? It's difficult to tell if the FMC is on the larger side, if she just thinks she's on the larger side, or not at all), and a propensity for the author to actually call her men a harem multiple times in the text. Lampshading the trope like that just made it awkward and annoying to read about, honestly.
Just not my thing. I'll keep reading other Rebel Bloom books to see if I can find others I like, but this one was a miss for me.
Sara is on a 2-week vacation to participate in her best friend, Macy’s wedding. She is also recovering from a break up with a two-timing twitter pated twat waffle jerk named Milo. Throw in Macy’s triplet brothers trying to woo her.
The main character spent more time hiding or getting boinked that there really wasn’t a whole lot of substance in between, this is what can happen when reading a story from a first-person point of view. Everything is one dimensional, including the characters, and becomes so boring and it make reading the story tedious (I always wanted to use that word in a sentence). Throw in the edits I found and it becomes an okay story with no real plot and a whole lot of blah blah blah. Unfortunately this story was not worth the $2.99 I spent on it.
