RAGING WITCH is the third novella in Melody Raven’s contemporary, adult DANGEROUS MAGIC DIVISION paranormal, suspense series focusing on a powerful witch Sonia Shaw, and the Dangerous Magic Division of Homeland Security. RAGING WITCH should not be read as a stand alone, as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book two LONE WITCH.

Told from first person perspective (Sonia) RAGING WITCH follows witch Sonia Shaw in the aftermath of a violent take down and killing of another supernatural power. Sonia struggles to find her place in the DMD, the Dangerous Magic Division of Homeland Security, a division that supervises and controls the paranormal but Sonia’s powers are unstable; her boyfriend Ian was killed then was later reanimated as NotIan; Sonia was responsible for arresting her own father; and her boss, werewolf Carter Blackburn, battles his hatred for a woman he knows was only doing her job. As the team at the DMD continue to take down the baddest of the bad, Sonia is assigned to investigate the haunting of a local frat house, a haunting that could mean the end of the world.

So, Sonia has managed to kill Graze, but now she has to get the mess cleaned up. Before she can get anywhere on that, she gets an urgent call from Melanie which leads her to another mess. Carter has gone and done something stupid and she will need to tidy that up, too. Then there is still NotIan to contend with, she has no clue how to fix that. As if that isn't enough, it appears that a local frat house is being haunted by something otherworldly. Way too many balls in the air, especially considering dear old dad gave her a potion that wrapped up her magic so she didn't even have a last line of defense. She's technically as helpless as a human, huh. Good thing she has snark to fall back on.

This book reads like a movie - the writing is so good you can see the events unfold as if a 5D movie is playing in front of your minds' eye! It's fast-paced, engaging and thrilling, and I really like all the characters, even if Sonia is the favorite because I can see into her heart.
Sonia is so torn by painful feelings that she gets to do some really stupid s.. stuff in the end, she's lucky her team has her back. And now, it seems saving the world is in order. I wonder where she'll end up, seeing how she's willing to sacrifice herself for the greater good in the name of love.
I'm a bit grumbly to have to wait for the next book, I really got into it.

This is Raging Witch, book 3 of Melody Raven's Dangerous Magic Division series. I should warn you that you better have time to finish it as soon as you start it,,, I couldn't put it down! Sonia is still working for the new DMD and trying to contain all of her wonderful snark and just general bad azz-ness. (yes, that is a word) Carter is still not playing nice and Not Ian is just making things harder. Something HUGE is coming soon and everyone is trying to figure it out before it's too late! oh, and another HUGE CLIFFY AHEAD!
