Supernatural Singles #2

Not Your Ex's Hexes

Rate this book
In April Asher’s next Supernatural Singles novel, a one-night-stand between a willful witch and a broody half-demon conjures an adventure that wouldn’t be complete without several magical mishaps.

For her entire life, Rose Maxwell trained to become the next Prima on the Supernatural Council. Now that she’s stepped down, it’s time for this witch to focus on herself. And not think about her impulsive one-night stand with Damian Adams, a half-Demon Veterinarian who she can’t get out of her head. Neither of them is looking for a relationship. But when Rose is sentenced to community service at Damian’s animal sanctuary it becomes impossible for them to ignore their sparking attraction. A friends-with-benefits, no feelings, no strings arrangement works perfectly for them both.

After a sequence of dead-end jobs, it’s not until Rose tangos with two snarly demons that she thinks she’s finally found her path. However, this puts Damian back on the periphery of a world he thought he left behind. He doesn’t approve of Rose becoming a Hunter, but if there's one thing he's learned about the stubborn witch, it was telling her not to do something was one sure-fire way to make sure she did.

Working—and sleeping—together awakens feelings Damian never knew he had...and shouldn't have. Because thanks to his ex's hex, if he falls in love, he'll not only lose his heart—but his humanity.

I stayed up all night to finish this. I haven’t had that happen in awhile. I love a good witchy romance and this exceeded my expectations, especially since it had a supernatural element to it and I don’t usually like those. The chemistry between Rose and Damian was so well written it had me smiling and rooting for the grumpy demon. And that grand gesture! 😍
I guess maybe I’m a romantic at heart after all. 😉😂

Pure Magic! A one-night stand between a witch and a half demon, cast a spell on me. Book #2 in the Supernatural Singles was delightful, fun, and naturally full of magic!

Rose Maxwell, one of the Maxwell witches, trained her entire life to be the next Prima on the Supernatural Council. She stepped down and into some trouble by attempting to rescue a horse she thought was being abused. She was sentenced to do community service at an animal sanctuary run by Damian Adams, the half demon veterinarian that she had a one-night stand with! Their attraction is off the charts and when they find it hard to resist, they become friends-with-benefits. Both agree to the terms: no attraction, no feelings, just sex, sex, sex.

Enter angst, hexes, family, danger, lust, and a bunch of animals.

I read most of this with a giant smile on my face. This book had heart, endearing characters, lots of witty banter, danger and tension. Rose, her sisters, grandmother and grandmother are back, and it was nice to be in their orbit for a little while. While this is part of the Supernatural Series, this works very well as a stand-alone.

I enjoyed learning Damian's back story which plays a major part in this book. What also worked in this book for me was how Rose and Damian both were animal lovers and worked together to make the animals lives better and to raise money for the animal sanctuary. Both are wonderfully drawn and likeable characters dealing with their own individual issues. This made for some interesting reading and interactions.

This was a gripping, captivating and magical paranormal romance with bite! April Asher has wowed me once again with her writing, characters and the journey's she takes them all.

I can't wait for the next book in the series!!!!!

Not Your Ex’s Hexes by April Asher is the second book in the paranormal romance Supernatural Singles series. Just like a lot of romance series the Supernatural Singles series changes main characters in each new book of the series with the world building being what ties them together. Since we have new characters this book can be read as a standalone or out of order if choosing to do so.

Rose Maxwell has spent her life preparing to join the supernatural council but now that she’s stepped down she needs to figure out what to do next. What Rose doesn’t want to do is put any more thought into her mistake of a one night stand with the half-demon Damian Adams but of course Rose gets forced into doing just that.

Much to Roses’ dismay she gets sentenced to community service at none other than Damian’s animal sanctuary. Being so closed to the sexy veterinarian is not what Rose wanted but now she’s beginning to think maybe there just might be a benefit to being so close while Rose figures out what her next steps will be in life.

The Supernatural Singles series is probably best described as taking a contemporary romance and setting it up in a supernatural world. There’s witches, werewolves and demons…oh my! But at the heart of the story in this second book we have sort of a second chance enemies to lovers with the prior hook up but the forbidden demon character. Lotsa laughs and a relationship in the making kept the pages turning in this one and when done I’ll look forward to seeing what’s in store for the next singles in the series.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

No Your Ex’s Hexes by April Asher
2nd book in the Supernatural Singles series. Paranormal romance. Witches, demons, shifters and magic. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series.
Rose isn’t sure what to do with her life. Her sister Violet, is now Prima, the next leader in training, a job that Rose had been working towards her entire life. At loose ends, Rose tries being a Ryde share driver, a bartender and a Hunter. She’s also working at an animal rescue sanctuary, where Veterinary doctor Damian Adams is in charge. He’s tempting Rose in multiple ways including a friends with benefits arrangement.

Entertaining with a twist or two that will keep you reading.
I love the sisters relationship of unquestioning support. I also loved the animal sanctuary premise and wanting to help find them caring forever homes.
A bit of humor from the heroine as she makes up labels / names for the hero.
Chapter titles are amusing and there is a bonus Q&A at the back on the characters which was fun to read.
I look forward to reading Olive’s book. The setup in this book made the situation intriguing.

Quoted heroine phrases about the hero:
“Damian was an xxx to walk out like a half-demon man-baby.”

“ she’d been up the better part of the night, figuring out a way to help the sanctuary that even Dr. Broody McGrumpy Pants couldn’t turn down.”

I received a copy of this from NetGalley.

description

Y'all... April Asher did an amazing job with Rose and Damian's story! I was so excited to read this story and I can't wait for everybody to read it too! If you haven't read Not the Witch You Wed, then beware that this book will spoil the ending of NTWYW as it picks up a few months after that story.

I appreciate that April titles every chapter because that is not common anymore, but everybody loves it when they see it. It gives you the same joy as when the song title is in the lyrics!

If you like:
-curvy heroine/FMC
-urban fantasy
-friends-to-lovers
-friends with benefits
-funny moments
-empowered female characters
-grumpy x sunshine
-accurate portrayal of sibling relationships (the banter! the depth of how much they truly love each other!)

Then you'll LOVE Not Your Ex's Hexes!!

Cute story 3.5 Stars!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was really looking forward to this book! One of the best parts of the story truly is Damian. He is a strong character who has changed his life for the better. Kind, giving, a tad grumpy, with a heart of gold.
Rose is a fun-loving, scattered gal who wears her heart on her sleeve, is overrun by sisters, and is totally focused on Damian and helping his business.
This story is a humorous, lighthearted book and Asher takes it to another level that grabs you. There were some spots where it really felt like she was pushing hard for something to be humorous when it truly wasn’t.
The banter seemed overdone in places especially when there was a little tension and the story ramped up with a little suspenseful activity, that’s really not the time for three paragraphs of banter. It almost seemed like the whole storyline was bantering whether it was between the sisters which also felt overdone and also Rose and Damien.
I really truly enjoyed the story overall. I just wish that Rose was not as stubborn and took things a bit more seriously. That is what really put a damper on my overall enjoyment. But you may love it!
Tropes: one night stand to lovers, opposites attract, forced proximity, and good girl x bad boy
Rose Maxwell, the former Prima Apparent (basically the future Supreme Witch for any AHS lovers) is looking to find her new path in life after giving up her position. When she has a one night stand with Damian Adams, a grumpy half demon veterinarian, neither party thinks that they’ll cross paths again. Fast forward to Rose’s attempt to ‘rescue’ some horses from Damian’s animal sanctuary and the two are thrown together due to Rose’s mandatory community service.
Rose and Damian have magnetic chemistry from the moment they meet and they fight it at every turn which makes the angst SO good. There’s nothing I love more than characters agreeing to have a no strings attached fling only to fall head over heels in love.
This is the perfect spooky season rom com and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun supernatural romance!
Thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Happy Release day!
Netgalley offering me a sequel within a series I hadn't read strikes again. This nevertheless fun witchy romp drops just in time for Valentine's Day.
A high-ended 3 stars, probably more 3.5, as I did enjoy it despite some holes left from not knowing of or reading the first book, and some rambling banter at moments. Overall this was a fun book, full of cute animals, half-demons in well-fitted jeans, and steamy hookups between the main pairing. It read largely like a contemporary fluffy romance, besides the occasional meeting with officials of supernatural society and some demon hunting.
So, yes, I got this in a Netgalley email and definitely didn't realize there was a book one. And yes, it was referred to just enough that the worldbuilding kind of sagged with all of the holes in it for me. But I persevered, enjoying the writer's comedy, the rapport between the Maxwell family and friends, and the adorable horses and dogs that the animal sanctuary cared for.
There was too much ill-placed banter during climactic scenes, as other reviews noted, taking away the oomph of them. Perhaps that's what dragged scenes on - the book felt really long for what should've breezed along like other fluffy contemporary witch fantasies I've enjoyed.
I loved this book even more than the first in the series!! if book 3 is not Olive’s story I will be devastated, it is set up beautifully.
Damian…. Can I have him? He is the whole package!! He and Rose complement each other perfectly. My only disappointment was the ending. I would have liked to see more, but the time was spent setting up book three. I expect to see more of this story interwoven into book three.
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC! I am ready for book three now! 😍
My obsession with April Asher continues y’all. Last year I adored the first book in this series and I loved this one too. There’s something about her brand in this series that just works for me, I think it’s a perfect balance of classic romance and supernatural happenings that makes it so much fun. Rose and Damian were such an enjoyable match and their spice was 🥵 If you like sunshine and grump with a little side of enemies to lovers you should try this. I can’t wait for the next book and seeing Olive find her match as things were set up perfectly for her story in the next book.
Not Your Ex's Hexes was a fun read featuring a romance between a witch and a half-demon.
Rose Maxwell spent her entire life training to become the next Prima on the Supernatural Council and now that she's stepped down, she doesn't know what to do with her life. To make matters worse she's sentenced to community service at the animal sanctuary owned by Damian Adams, the half-demon she had a one-night stand with and has been avoiding ever since. When Rose ends up tagging along with Damian on a hunt for two demons, Rose thinks she's finally found her true calling. But spending so much time with Rose is putting Damian's heart and soul at risk thanks to his ex's hex that states if he falls in love, he'll lose his humanity.
Rose's character intrigued me in Not the Witch You Wed and I was curious where she would end up after Violet took over as Prima. I liked that when this book starts, she still hasn't figured out what she wants to do with her life and goes through several jobs that aren't the right fit. Damian was an interesting character as we don't know much about him when the book starts and I was intrigued to learn more with the bits we did get. I liked how passionate he was about the animal sanctuary and that he was willing to do whatever it took to help the animals under his care.
The romance was where this book fell a part a little for me as I didn't love Rose and Damian together. My biggest issue was that I ultimately didn't like the way Damian treated Rose for a lot of the book. He's very dismissive of her ideas and has a tendency to try and tell her what she's allowed to do. Thankfully Rose pretty much ignores him when he tries to control her but that didn't make him doing it any less annoying. They do end up working that out before the end of the book and I was ultimately happy with the direction their romance went.
Overall Not Your Ex's Hexes was an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to reading Olive's book soon.
DNF at 44%.
I was really excited to read this book because the first one was a 5-star read to me. When I got approved for this ARC through NetGalley, I decided to also re-read the first book as an audiobook at the same time.
And that duality did me no favors in liking this book. There is repetition that just takes away from the fun of either book.
The main characters have been with each other in the past but somehow are acting like enemies now. I can see the author trying to give us the flavor of that enemies to lovers trope. But why? In the first book, there was some reason to it. He had stood her up. In this one, they had a one-night stand. There’s no reason for animosity.
In both cases, they do some casual sport together. In the first book, it’s bowling. In this one it’s pool.
Both books have the heroine falling off a ladder and the hero catching her.
But what really got me was how the author has given Rose a personality transplant. She’s no longer the super responsible, ultra-competent witch… she’s now unsure of herself and takes dangerous chances. Somewhat like Violet from the first book.
In addition, this book has that exhausting trope of “we can’t be together because of reasons”. They want to make sure “this is just a physical relationship… no one catch feelings”. It’s exhausting. A fellow reviewer describes this as negative motivation and it gets tired real quick.
I am not in the mood to keep reading through annoyance. I probably shouldn’t have tried reading these books simultaneously. Now, I have fewer favorable thoughts about the first book. It was a fun one-off. But sadly, the author didn’t keep it going with this one. I’m disappointed and stopped reading around 44% in.
Rose and her two sisters are triplet witches and best friends. When they decide to liberate some abused horses, they learn that the place is an animal sanctuary run by half-demon veterinarian Damian. Rose is sentenced to do community service at the sanctuary, and realizes that Damian is the man with whom she had a memorable one night stand. They agree to a friends with benefits relationship--Damian fears getting too involved because of a hex put on him by an ex-girlfriend. Three and a half stars. Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for this fun and spicy paranormal read.
This is the second novel of the Maxwell sisters and it was so much fun. In this one it focuses on Rose, the former Prima who is trying to find herself in this world. I loved this one a lot better than the first. If you like the sunshine grumpy trope and a sexy half demon veterinarian-this book is for you. He even has a frggin animal sanctuary- SWWOON!.
This was a cute steamy witchy romance and I can't wait to read the third book.
I was in a major reading slump while reading this book which is not this book's fault. Without the negative feelings associated with a slump, this book was good overall. I had high hopes and for the most part this book met those expectations.
If you want a fun, light-hearted witchy romance then definitely check this book out. It's a solid romance book.
✨Bringing hexy back✨
**I think there are pretty minor spoilers throughout the review so take caution!**
I enjoyed this one a lot! Witchy romances are hit and miss for me, but this one did pretty much everything I’d want out of a good one! I liked the main characters, there was a bit of a twist, and I liked the writing style. It wasn’t overly quirky or campy, at least to my tastes. Ever since Schitt’s Creek I’ve had a THING for sexy veterinarians. And since my epic Kresley Cole saga of 2022, I’ve had a THING for demons. 👀
As for the steam, there were a variety of open door sex scenes. They weren’t wacky enough to stick in my mind, but I enjoyed them as a whole. They start banging pretty early because they’d had a one-night stand a year prior and there wasn’t much animosity left after a few chapters.
I think the whole bounty hunter thing was just very random and didn’t make much sense. It kinda just made Rose seem immature because she really didn’t prove to me that she was right for the job?? She just seemed rather childish for her age. And the bounty hunter overshadowed the hot vet and animal content!!
I was also kinda confused about the parameters of her magical abilities. Maybe reading book one would clear some things up. I just think she coulda done a bit more hexing lol. Part of it’s on me for reading book two in a series but I do think it could’ve done more to explain the magic, since it did give me a good sense of book one’s plot.
While there were some cringey word choices and a slowish ending, I did overall enjoy the story. I’m super excited for book three because it’s a roommance and he’s a sexually skilled angel??? Literally he’s an ANGEL. And he called HER angel?? Yeah I’m sold.
As an audiobook, I really liked the narrator! She had a great range of voices and I did love her guy one. It was single POV and narration (which is maybe why I liked it so much).
the cover?: these covers are so cute, can't wait to see the rest of the series 😍
the FMC: Rose- 🧹 this book follows Rose while she tries to find her place and what she's good at since stepping down as the Prima Apparent in book 1. she tries some odd jobs, learns from her failures, and grows in the duration of this book- especially since book 1!
the MMC: Damian- 😈 this book dually follows Damian as his friends-with-benefits, no-strings-attached relationship leads him off the path he expected to be on. Damian has great character growth and is an absolutely swoon worthy grumpy vet with a heart of gold when it comes to all his animal rescues. he gives off the most beautiful "touch her and 💀" vibes and 😘👌
POV: 3rd person dual perspective
HEA: yes!
spice: spicy/steamy- on par with the other book in the series. there are several open door spicy scenes and plenty of pining, kisses, innuendos throughout
TWs: mentions of past mental manipulation, slight gore, animal rescue- don't worry no animals die during this book! overall, this book is pretty clean in terms of trigger worthy content
standalone?: while this is book 2 of the Supernatural Single series i think this could be read as a standalone, however the world building that starts in book 1 is amazing and book 2 picks right up without explaining the characters connections and the locations they visit
editing to add that i listened to the audiobook and it was great. i always wish for a dual reader for a dual perspective but she was great!
i'm loving this series so much and i can't wait for the series to continue! April Asher
First, I want to say you really should read Not the Witch You Wed before you read this one. It is a fantastic book and establishes the Supernatural world and all the main characters really well. I don’t know what kind of spell April Asher writes into her books, but I fall in love every time. The world building was perfect without being too fantasy or over my head. I love the “animated” language she writes with, the creativity of her “curse words” (sometimes quite literal), and the use of nicknames. I think it’s a perfect match between Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey with less cringe (and no BDSM) and a better storyline. It’s definitely still spicy, more so than the NTWYW, but I’m not complaining.
Honestly, I didn’t connect as much to Damian and Rose as much as I did Vi and Linc, but their “unconventional” love story and puppies was enough to keep me hooked. I appreciate that we got to explore the darker side of the Supernatural world more and that Damian and Rose come from such different backgrounds. I like that it took time (most of the book) for them to start acknowledging the fact that there was something more between them. The ending was cheesy as all get out, but it really was perfect for their story. I laughed and cried reading this book, it is so fantastic. I can’t wait to read the next one, which will hopefully be in Olive’s perspective. I love these characters and I’m not ready to give them up.
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and the author for hosting a giveaway for a physical ARC of this book! It was my first ever!
Hex Me….again!
This sequel, (but not really because it’s about Rose), is probably one of the best follow-up books around. I love that even though Rose is the star of this book we still got A LOT of Violet and a little of Linc!
This book is packed with adventure, mishaps, and everything in-between. Not a moment was boring, everything fit together like a puzzle, right down to the very last satisfying piece.
Asher does a really good job of giving each sister their own voice, and it really stands out in this book. Don’t get me wrong, Rose is still quick-witted, and sarcastic like Vi, but she’s also more thoughtful. She really thinks about things before jumping into them Magic first. She’s caring and kind, sweet, and a bit tame. But never boring.
Damian, oh the sweet, sweet grump. He’s a character all together. He’s stubborn, and stupid to be honest. But gah, did I love him. He’s the perfect version of “touch her, you die”.
While Violet’s story is expanded on in this book, just a smidge, you can read it as a standalone. However, I highly suggest reading Not The Witch You Wed first. Everything felt much more enjoyable that way.
Well, this was a damn delight.
I love love loved Rose and Damian. She's sunny, he's crunchy, they're both stubborn and sarcastic and I adored reading them fight and resist the chemistry. Until they didn't. Of course, this cast of characters is so much fun and I loved seeing everyone again.
Plot wise, it was good. The animal aspect was a great way to show that Damian wasn't always so crunchy and who doesn't love snuggling puppies. The conflict didn't last long and the grand gesture was glorious...all things I always want.
Overall, it was a fun read with characters I love. I can't wait to read Olive's book and I'm secretly hoping we get even more.
This was such a fun book. April Asher creates a wonderfully magical world with this series. Rose and Damien are just adorable together and so amazingly sexy.
Rose is trying to figure out what to do with her life after stepping down as the future Prima of the council. This leads to an ill-fated rescue attempt of some horses and then being forced to volunteer at Damien's animal sanctuary.
I loved getting to see Violet again and can't wait for Olive's book.
I’ve been so excited to read book 2 of April Asher’s Supernatural Singles series! This book was just as entertaining and fun as book 1!
Rose Maxwell, former Prima Apparent, is a bit lost. Having spent her entire life in training to become the next Prima, she has no idea what to do with her life now that her older sister Violet has come into her power. After attempting to stage a covert equine rescue, she winds up caught and sentenced to community service at the animal refuge she attempted to break the horses out of. And who should be running the refuge? Her hot as hell one night stand partner, Damian Adams. Damian is a bit of a recluse, having devoted his life to his animal clinic and the refuge. A half-demon who was the most talented Hunter during his younger years, he enjoys being alone and only socializes when absolutely necessary. The hex placed on him as a teenager weighs heavily and he has no desire to see the consequences through.
This book was so much fun! I flew through it in less than 24 hours! Rose and her sisters are just as sassy, stubborn and sharp witted as they were in book 1. I’ve enjoyed watching Rose come to terms with not knowing what to do with her life. She is not shy about how she’s struggling to sort that out, but it’s enjoyable and satisfying to watch her work through. It was also fun to see her sister’s personalities shine again, especially Olive! She’s breaking out of the quiet she’ll she had in the first book and I’m really excited for book 3! Honestly, the side characters in this book all really shine and it was always a riot when they got involved in a scene.
The tension between Damian and Rose was top tier. I think it helps that they started the book with a quickie, one night stand. There was already some foundation laid to start their romance and it was fun watching that grow! Damian, for all his gruff exterior, is a sweet partner and a caring man. He’s a bit scarred after being hexed as a teen and has sworn off love and repeat partners. Watching him fall head first for Rose was very satisfying. And seeing Rose fall for him too was amazing. The banter between them and the chemistry was just so great! I loved them 💖
April’s writing style is a lot of fun, so if you’re looking for a good time I highly recommend this series. It’s got supernatural realism, witty banter, lots of spicy bits and a family that is super involved with each other (in a good way)! I cannot wait for the next book!
Thanks very much to NetGalley and St Martin’s Griffin for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest opinion!
My Thoughts: This is the second book in the Supernatural Singles series. I adored the first book and was excited to read this one. We met Rose briefly in the first book where she stepped down from the Supernatural Council. She has had a string of dead end jobs trying to find her thing that makes her happy. She is also does not want a relationship with any man, especially after the Valentino fiasco. After a horse snatching incident going horribly wrong, she is sentenced to volunteer at her one-night stand’s animal sanctuary. Will she find the thing that makes her happy? Can she coexist with Damian?
The story is narrated in dual narration by Rose and Damian, through their POVs. Rose is fierce, independent, and is trying to find what makes her happy. Damien has been deeply hurt, is part demon, career focused, but is kind when you get to know him. It was nice to see updates on the characters from the first book. The characters were well developed with depth, witty banter, amazing chemistry, and brilliant. The author’s writing style was complex, spicy, swoony, magical, and kept me engaged throughout the story.
I absolutely adore Asher’s writing. She blends supernatural and norms so effortlessly. While you do not have to read the first one, I think it would build on the characters. The flow and pace of this story was amazing. I highly recommend picking up this book and the prior one.
A one-night between a witch and half a demon. Rose trained her whole life to be the next Prima on Supernatural council -- however she had to stepdown after getting into some trouble when rescuing a horse which she thought was being abused, as her punishment she was sent to do community service at the animal sanctuary owned by Damian Adams -- the half demon veterinarian whom she'd had her one-night stand with! They can't resist each other to the point that they come up with an agreement to become friends with benefits, no feelings just sex!
This was pure magic for sure, the lust, the angst .. I loved how everything came together and the scene where Rose tells him about gestures 😂🥹 I can't decide which book I loved more in terms of couples but can't wait to get into the third book
What do you get when you mix a half demon veterinarian with a witch at an animal sanctuary, a lot of drama (with cuddly animal breaks of course) and a steamy romance.
I really liked Damien in this book. He was so conflicted due to the hex on his heart and not wanting his demon side to pull him back into his bad boy hunting ways. All in all he really had a big heart (for the animals and Rose) under the grumpy yet sexy exterior.
A lot of this book was Rose trying to find her thing, but I wanted a bit more magic and typical witchy things from her. It seems like the magic only came about during the hunting portions for the most part.
I've liked both books do far and enjoyed familiar characters from the first book in this book. I think the set-up is there for Olive, I hope we see more of her and Bax in the next book!
Thank you to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this ARC for my honest review.
I love it when a book starts with a (literal) bang!! This was a great second book in the Supernatural singles paranormal romance series! I loved the forced proximity, opposites attract, fat FMC romance! I'm especially loving the trend of influencer love stories and this one was excellent. Plus the no strings attached F*ck buddy arrangement (FBA) gave me all the feels as the MCs tried to resist their innate attraction. Great on audio too. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!!
This was very cute - I love how this author works supernatural beings into a contemporary setting without making it too over the top. I loved the main couple - they had great chemistry and banter. I can't wait to read the third book asap!
Thank you St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for allowing me to have this ARC.
As always April Asher does it again. This follows the second sister with Triplets Rose Maxwell finding her true love.
Now, her and her sister Olive and Vi, along with their good friend Harper, are trying to save these horses who they believe are living in horrible conditions. So Rose, is sentenced to community service at the animal sanctuary where she thought was harming the horses. Little did she know, the dark-brooding half demon she had a one night stand with months prior with the owner of the animal sanctuary.
They start off with an agreement of friends with benefits but starts to turn into more.
This book was just the right amount of comedy, Romance, and spice I needed. I absolutely loved this book.
