This is a special feature on My Hero Academia that closes in on its secrets and introduces new cover illustrations and manga by author Kohei Horikoshi! Also included, a discussion among the past and present editors of the original manga!!
But spoiler alert! The contents delve into the details of the movie!
Loved learning background info about the manga, anime, and movie. Also Rody Soul is one of my new favorite characters (and it makes me sad that he’ll probably be a movie exclusive character)
This was a freebie given out to those who saw the third My Hero Academia movie in theaters. I love when anime companies do this kind of promotion; I got Ancient Mew vibes! And just like Ancient Mew, this was an awesome bonus. The character profiles are really interesting both from a visual standpoint and an informational one. Not only do you learn more about the characters that you'd never get from just watching the movie, they kept a lot of the original Japanese notes, placing English translations next to them, rather than overwriting them. That meant I got Japanese reading practice out of this little book, too! The interviews and short manga were funny and interesting and even the very end of the book, the inside of the back cover, is cool because the illustration there uses metallic silver and black, rather than typical black & white printing. The movie was epic enough even without this bonus book, so having it is like the cherry on top!

Was handed this when I went to see the new film and I really enjoyed both. The film while not my favorite so far was still wonderful and I loved reading through this to see a small prequel story before the events in the film. It also has a funny q&a about the characters and author that I really enjoyed.
My friends, husband, and I went to the movie and received this manga for attending! It was so cool - the movie and the story was phenomenal! I love this series so much and I highly recommend it.
