I was looking forward to Maverick's story, especially since he seemed so quiet in the other books. I found this story incredibly frustrating. Almost, if not all, the conflict was from Madison. Her fear of commitment was almost too much for me and took me out of the story. Maverick was a pretty good hero and tried to get her to commit to him but I still could not get into the story.
This book is by far the spiciest of the series so far. I thought she did Abel's character a disservice. It was nice to see him obsess over his daughter, but if he wasn't talking about his daughter-he was talking about sex. Which was annoying, because we saw him develop past that. Towards the end of the book, it also got cheesy about a few things.
Overall, definitely not my favorite of the series and I'm not sure if I even want to read about Reid's story.
Grace aka Madison and Maverick have met and hooked up. What they didn't expect was meeting the day after, professionally. She is the new boss. She is the Tammy photographer. But she is not who Marv thinks she is. Her name.... And this us where things start and they stay secret until love hits them.
Hated the heroine - zero character development - could not believe Mav would fall in love with her - she was bitchy and mean without any explaination. Finished the book knowing very little about the characters, their motivation or backstory. Have enjoyed the other books in this series but this is a serious disappointment - I'm going to ask for a refund.
It started as a one night stand. Two consenting adults agreeing to one night and one night only. Maverick's just gotten out of a relationship, thanks to his cheating ex, and Grace is pursuing her dreams, so neither wants anything close to a commitment. Imagine their surprise when they officially meet on the ice and Maverick realizes Grace is his new boss's daughter. He's furious, but he can't seem to get their night together out of his head. With all the obstacles they face, the team, her father, their shared commitment phobia, how will they ever work? Maybe, they should have left it at one night only. INSANELY GREAT FROM START TO FINISH! EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT, A HOT, ALPHA GOALIE AND A STRONG WILLED, SEXY PHOTOGRAPHER BUTTING HEADS AND FALLING HARD!!! A FANTASTIC, MUST READ!!!
Omg,.. this was SUCH a good story. I loved it the whole way through! A random hook up turns into more when Maverick finds out his new GM is the father of his one night stand! If her dad finds out? He’ll surly trade him! Right after he kills him that is! I loved Maverick’s sweet nature and unending patience. Sometimes I thought Madison was too much of a bitch for him, too cold. And as the story unfolded, I understood more why she kept men at arms length. Still I think her attitude was hard to take sometimes, even though in the end their love shines through. Again more because of Maverick than Madison,.. 🙂. anyways.. I loved the story! I love anything by this author and the Hockey stories are the best! And quite addicting! Can’t wait for the next one!
Book 3 and what a book, the characters in this series are of the chart and these two main characters in the book are the most adorable Maverick the tuff goalie with a huge soft side and Maddison trying to be tuff but has had so much heart ache follow there journey no spoilers from me but you won’t be disappointed 5⭐️
Holy hotness!! I loved reading about Maverick and Madison. It was Steamy, funny, and I couldn't put it down and hated that it had to end. I loved how I got to read about my other Apple Cats. This story was an emotional one too. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Ms Casey for sharing your stories with me.
I was looking forward to Marverick’s story. I enjoyed it but didn’t completely fall in love with it. Madison kept things to herself (for her own reasons that do come out eventually) but I think so much of the issues could have been resolved sooner with just a bit more communication. I will continue with the series.
Maverick & Madison: The story itself was good. However, the author made the characters seem psychotic and they acted stupid. Poorly written. I’m not sure it deserves a two.
DNF both MC’s just were assholes 20% in.. A guy comes home to his girlfriend screwing someone, you would think he would earn some sympathy.. not really 😟
