Me encantó todo, menos que se acabara JJASJAJ
Cómo siempre, un gran ctm a la censura china que me robó más momentos d la pareja.
Recordatorio: NO SE DEJEN LLEVAR POR EL TEXTO QUE APARECE EN LOS PRIMEROS 2 CAPÍTULOS, EL ML NO ES MALO Y JAMÁS HIZO LO DESCRITO, PLS pq veo que varias personas lo dejaron por eso y me duele pq Xue Yan jamás haría eso sjdjsj

Okay, pues para empezar me encantaron los protagonistas, tanto Jun Huailang como Xue Yan tienen una razón para ser como son y su romance no nace de la nada, son sus personalidades y vivencias juntos lo que forma un sólido amor y me encanta cómo van madurando antes de poder estar juntos 🥺💝
La política pues no le sé mucho, y sin bien en varias cosas era genial cómo logró atar todo, tmb sospecho q la autora hizo algunas cosas demasiado fáciles, pero no se lo reprocho, la vdd yo no habría sabido cómo terminar tremendo lío KSJXJS
Lo único que me queda a deber, justo como con la de ADGWBMC, es que el final, como que lo apresura y nos roba tiempo de la pareja principal, pq yo personalmente necesito verlos felices y juntitos 10 capitulos más. No sé si no le gusta escribir vida tranquila de pareja o q, pero yo m quedo dolida JAJDJSJ
Aún así, la disfruté mucho y me sacó de un bloqueo lector re lindo

4.2 stars. English title: I became the older brother of the heroine of an abusive novel
I enjoyed the novel, though the title is really misleading and it's something the readers learns in the first chapter. Jun Huailang gets executed and in the afterlife he reads a book about what happens between him sister and the man that had him executed after his death. He is absolutely horrified and then gets send back to some years before his death by accident... that accident also shows us that the novel is not some kind of book of fate... but bad fanfiction. It's not true at all, but for now our MC believes it is.
In many other stories of this kind, the main character is out for revenge and aims to ruthlessly get rid of his enemies, this is not what happens here. Ruthlessness is really not something that fits Jun Huailang who is at his core a kind person. Not in the sense that he can't make hard and cruel choices or always believes the best in someone no matter what, but in the sense that he has a hard time being unnecessarily cruel - even to people that might harm him in the future.
At first he was determined to keep his younger sister away from Xue Yan (the man who tormented her in the fanfic) but Xue Yan is not some kind of monster at this part of his life - he is a victim and Huailang quickly realizes that people are shaped by their experiences. He can't bring himself to be cruel- so he does the next best thing: he is kind and aims to win Xue Yan over. He doesn't quite realize that a person who has never really experiences kindness is not prepared for that. Xue Yan, you might have guesses is our ML ;)
The book can roughly be broken down into three parts.
In part one Jun Huailang deals with the dangers to his sister in the imperial palace. Only it turns out the biggest danger is not the one he though and the issues run so much deeper. This is the part where he wins over the ML.
In part two Jun Huailang follows his father on one of his assignments and aims to resolve the issues that got his father framed in his last life and costs thousands of lives. Again, he has no idea what he is walking into, though to his credit he does not just walk into it blindly and he is very realistic about his options... thankfully he has the ML.... who aims to win him over now.
Part 3 is back in the capital and deals with deals with the imperial issues, bringing all the issues together. It also shows the two main characters settling into their lives and considering the future.
In general I thought this novel was well done and the pacing was okay. The relationship between them was pretty gradual and well written. The ML has some dark tendencies, but he never takes away the MC freedom... There is some kissing that is not really consensual? I mean, not non-con, but it comes as a surprise to the MC. To his credit the ML backs of and makes it quite clear that he does not require the MC to return his feelings or have a relationship with him. Nor does he makes his help dependent on the MCs feelings for him.
The side characters are pretty much as they are. There are some who are a bit more relevant that others, but the focus is very much on our two main characters and not on anyone else. There are no real side-couples and it stays in tune with its historical settings. People aren't homophobic, but the MCs parents are not super happy about their relationship - and not just because of gender, but because of their positions and power differences. Their fears felt very real and were understandable.
My favorite side characters is the MLs eunuch. His thoughts and actions are hilarious and he actually has a lot of growth as well. xxD
My one gripe is the whole setup. While the whole trash fanfic is resolves in the story, it feels a bit ridiculous that it had a role at all. It would have worked just fine without this element and maybe the title would have fit the story better as well.
Notable, I enjoyed all the extras of this novel. They were not over the top and pretty fun.

một câu chuyện thay phiên che chở bảo vệ đầy ấm áp của hai kẻ xưa đơn độc nay nhờ duyên phận lại có thể ban cho nhau một bầu trời đầy nắng. hai bạn ai cũng hấp dẫn mình hết, cấu kết nhân vật rất hay — lại là đúng nghĩa cường cường, nhất là quân hoài loang, dù không có người kia thì vẫn ngầu lòi tự mình xử lí địch như thường. (lại còn học cái mặt lạnh của người thương ẻm rồi cầm kiếm hù doạ người khác, đọc tới đây mình chỉ muốn đứng dậy vỗ tay. hay cho một con công nhỏ bị con sói hắc hoá thành công) nhưng khi xa người kia mới biết là người kia quan trọng với mình như thế nào. kể ra thì tác giả phát hoạ tuyến đề tình cảm của hai người hay quá — rất tự nhiên, đọc không ngán, không cảm thấy như là đã coi ở đâu rồi — từ lúc mới chớm yêu rồi lúc xác nhận tình cảm rồi theo đuổi rồi bên nhau đều rõ ràng hết. cảm động chết tim mình rồi.
à, cũng cảm ơn tác giả vì không giữa đường đẩy ra một nữ phụ không có kết cấu nhân vật nào ngoài trừ chuyện để chi độc giả ghét hay để cặp chính tình thêm vững bền gì đó. dù có ít mà họ cũng k được lên sân khấu nhiều nhưng mình cũng miễn cưỡng cảm thấy hài lòng với các nv nữ trong truyện. nhất là bạn “nữ chính nguyên bản”, vì hành trình đọc đam đầy thương tích của mình nên lúc đầu cứ nghĩ em ấy là nữ phản diện thôi.

I’m gonna read all the book written by this author. Love fluffy and healing stories with HE.
Her MLs always gives different impressions at the beginning of the story, always dangerous and taciturn because of what happened to them, until they got ‘healed’ by the MC and they suddenly became shameless chatters.
Love the characters, all the characters, and the very slow burning.
Even though the plot was very simple it delivered well.
The extras made me laugh out loud.

Por suerte termine la novela y la novela no termino conmigo
Me gusta como el desarrollo de los personajes fue lento y que el drama romántico tuviera una base (todo el complot político y no solo por ser hombres) considero que el romance fue lento aunque en el capítulo 50 en teoría los dos ya se gustan definitivamente.
Amo que muchos personajes tuvieran sus vidas intactas y tranquilas porque si me preocupe un poco de su final.
Duan shisi como fue tu vida? Yo quería saber más del resto de personajes sobre todo porque pasaron algunos años y quería saber cómo evolucionaron las cosas.
