Ginny tells them what she saw. She brings them to where she had been taken, knowing that this was the way the kidnapper had let her out.
Courtney looks at the Chief, and they instantly think it’s Casey Gordon, but it can’t be. The last time they saw him, he was still in the asylum, and he was never going to be let out.
Little did they know when they called the asylum, Courtney and the Chief found out they had let Casey go due to an overage of more severe cases.
Why is Casey released from the asylum? Is Courtney facing challenges identifying the real kidnapper? Where can Courtney find some clues about the kidnapper? Could it be Casey?

The more she learns, the more our heroine is concerned about what is going on. But answers are few and far between, making the wait for a clue that much harder.
This is book three of the fifth arc in the series. While it is not necessary to have read the previous series in order to enjoy this one, it will definitely help. At the very least, you should start at the beginning of this story arc.
This is a thriller involving some dark themes and a lot of mystery. This is a serial, so the story is on the short side, but it is very well written and highly engaging. This is now the fifth serial involving our heroine, so there is a fair amount of back story, only part of which is covered here, so it is really best to start with the first series. The mystery and intrigue continue and our poor heroine never gets a break. As this is near the beginning of this arc, there are a lot of questions and few answers. All of that just makes it more interesting to me.
Highly recommended.

In book 3 of this series, Courtney is searching for the kidnapper. Jinny told them what she saw and how she was kidnapped. Courtney and the Chief look at each other and both are thinking the same thing about who the kidnapper is. The problem is that this person is supposed to be in an asylum. They call the asylum and find out that the person has been let out to overage and the need to take care of more serve cases.

This is book three in the Taken Crime Thriller Series 5 and moves along the series quite well. Do go back and read Series 1 -4 though as they are definitely worth it. This book is another home run and I love the character of Courtney and how the story progresses. A must read series.

This is book three of a five-part short story series. Can be read as a standalone but I always like to read things in order. This is a well written, detailed crime drama. Action packed and easy to read. So glad I already have the next book, so I don't have to pause in the series.
At first I was a little confused as to who all the characters were, especially Katherine. and thought maybe I should have read the first two installments. As it turns out Katherine is about my favorite so far as it all came together and I was drawn in. Going to go back and read the first two books int this series. Check it out for sure.
