Patrick Fitch walked the matrimony aisle twice. And failed twice. He had no intentions of ever walking that long road again. When he was sent to rescue the granddaughter of one of Mama Irene's best friends, he thought it would be a simple extraction. But when is it ever simple with RP? Not only is she beautiful, but she's sexy as the day is long. When she kisses him inside an ancient Mayan temple, he can't believe she's the one he's supposed to rescue. It's never easy and this is no exception. He has to keep her safe and hopefully, not embarrass Mama Irene in the process. Easy. Not easy.

Carsen Benoit has always been close to her grandmother, Ruby Gerard. Some would consider them New Orleans royalty. Although, you'd have to be okay with her grandmother being a former call girl, strip club owner, and sex toy shop entrepreneur. Escaping to Mexico for her studies, she's trying to find herself, but all she ends up finding is trouble. Something is happening at the motel where she works and unfortunately, they know that she's seen whatever it its they're doing. Waiting on one of the RP boys to rescue her is exhausting, but when she sees the handsome man inside the Mayan ruin, she takes her chance at distraction. Now if she could just convince him to sleep with her everything would be alright.

The couple in this one was good, but I found myself more interested in learning more of Miss Ruby and her past, what she over came and how everyone judged her for the choices she made after being done dirty. I hope we get lots more of her now that she has moved to the compound with everyone else. I also have a feeling Mama Irene will be setting her up soon.

The drama that came with Carsen was so crazy! Mostly because she was so innocent and just ended up in the wrong place. It's good through Miss Ruby, she was able to call in the big guns of RP and they were able to figure things out and go to town to get the bad guys.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty great book. I really enjoyed most of all of the characters. This was a book of determination, protection, caring, and meeting your match, also falling in love. I really enjoyed Fitch and Carsen story. I think the author did a great job and putting these characters together. I think they made a very great and interesting couple once they dailed it that down a little bit. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

LOVED IT!

These stories by Ms Kennedy are just too easy to love😍 I love her writing, she is very talented and a true patriot! She writes with passion for not only her characters but her country and life in general and that's what I love about her storytelling! can't wait for the next book!

This one was a miss for me. Typically the books in this series are easy, good reads. I do not understand why this author feels it's acceptable for a woman to physically assault a man but the other way around isn't. This is not the first book in which the heroine hits the hero but thankfully it isn't frequent. I wish she could eliminate this hypocritical notion and stop the physical violence toward partners.

Once again Mary Kennedy gives the reader another love story in regards to Fitch and Carsen. Then throw in Ruby. Lol
The plot is once again right up RP alley.
Fitch will get it right this time.
