I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety since childhood. I knew there was something different about me, but because I didn’t know what it was and didn’t have the support I needed, I thought something was wrong with me. It wasn’t until adulthood that I found out that my brain just works differently than other people’s because of my mental illnesses.
Now that I’ve embraced who I am and I’m living authentically without apology, it has become my mission to help neurodivergent people (like me) understand who they are so they can live authentic, happy, and healthy lives just as they are without changing for a neurotypical world.
Along with my work in Dandelion Bright, I use my fiction to raise awareness of neurodiversity, provide support for neurodivergent folks, and bridge the gap between what society expects and what neurodivergent people need.
