Betrayal. Chaos. Love. I came to Black Veil for a new start. A chance to find myself again, and maybe learn how to control my unruly magic. Instead, I've somehow bonded myself to three amazing men, found out I'm mated to my childhood best friend, and my magic grows more unstable by the day. Danger lurks around every corner and death lingers in the air. Secrets are uncovered, questions answered, but I'm not entirely sure I'm prepared to face the truths that they bring. Knight Forsaken is book 3 of 5 in the Black Veil University. This is a university-aged, Paranormal RH romance which means there will be no choosing between love interest at the end of the story. This series has darker elements that readers should be aware of such as, strong language, PTSD from kidnapping, assault, and violence.
“I don’t regret my decisions, and I would do everything the exact same way as long as it led me here, with you.”
🌊🔥🌬️
this book was even better than the last one in the series! to say that i am obsessed would be an understatement at this point.
i was fully immersed and engaged throughout this book. the tension, the romance, the action, the suspense, the mystery… EVERYTHING!!! this series grabs you and won’t let you escape.
the plot twists in this book were pretty insane, i mean, one was 100% obvious, but the rest had me audibly gasping! and that ending??? CRIMINAL!!! these books always end with the most insane cliffhangers, but i swear, this one was the most heart-wrenching. i am unable to read the next book right away and i honestly don’t know what to do with myself. HOW WILL I SURVIVE????
anyways, this whole series is insane. this book is insane. 6 stars!
It's about time the reaper got his act together! He has been annoying me to no end for several books now. Also, do my eyes decisive me? Are we adding TWO more guys to the RH?? Five... is it five now? (I've lost count.) Sounds... messy. Let's continue!
Idk , the series started our with a bang but Danica always allowing Gabe too much leeway and her panting for the guy who literally berated and insulted and made her more traumatized got too much on nerves to enjoy her other lovers.
I really couldn't continue reading this story which I guess has a good plot since not only Danica but even her possessive lovers are willing to overlook Gabe's assholery way too many times for my liking. Yeah Gabe is kinda broken,he has a horrible past but that doesn't give him right to be forgiven time and again. This series I guess is not for me since I love my FMC who give as good infact better than they get something that Danica lacked whenever it came to Gabe(she literally backed away from chewing Gabriel a new one even when he deserved it)
So, I am still loving this series, the only reason I have given four out of five stars is the age old arguments of cum vs come. She got them half right...
At this point, my interest on this story is waning a little so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to read the next two books. We’ll see. I think I’m gonna take a break and finish the Patricia Briggs book I was rereading.
I revived an ARC for a honest review. This is book 3 of a 5 book series I literally just finished this and I am unwell! This book was amazing it has it all! The tension the rollercoasters or emotion the suspense and the steam🥵🥵🥵🥵. And that ending I’m dying! How long til the next one I can’t be left like this.
This series is something else the Danica and the Boys’ journey is just so beautifully done. Watching her grow and cope with her trauma and seeing the boys do the same has been healing in a way I didn’t know I needed until I was healing along with her. The love I have for this series just keeps growing and I can’t recommend it enough.
That being said check your triggers before you start. And happy reading!
Felt frustrated with Danica's reactions to and handling of some situations. Still very invested in the series. Remi is my dude - I will always vote for the best friend turned lover.
The sitch there at the end is brutal. It ended up being a double cliffy kind of thing...like just when you think it's over, you turn the page and then BOOM! Joshua-with-the-crazy-everythings has something to add. The whole flippin thing made me feel one billion times stabby.
Seriously, just when I think my inner beastie that loves toxic male characters has been stroked and fed into a happy coma, I am unalived and then trapped in the "to be continued in x-amount of time" devils loop. The next book cannot be released fast enough.
Anyway... At the beginning of book 3, we get to see Gabe's POV to the ending of the last book. Once we see the cause for his actions, WE understand immediately but Dani is another story. What spawns from this choice is a large amount of regret and a general sense of misery weaved throughout the rest of their interactions for majority of the book.
I'm not sure if it was in the blurb or in the Facebook group but I read that there is a 6th guy in fam. I thought that maybe it would be Atlas seeing as he's already involved but nothing came of this and the new guy is better anyway. If I'm being honest, by the time this book ended, I was feeling gross about Atlas. He shouldn't die or anything but he needs to have an awakening (maybe violently).
There was a lot of revealing in this book so maybe I'll just bull-in-a-china-shop style this and then shut up?
Book 3 reveals: -The cause of the magical bond between Dani, Roar, Zane, Gabe and Dax. -Dani's magic is named and explored along with some of her parental and personal history. I am really excited about this expanding in the next book(s). -Guy number 6 is introduced and boy do I assume all kinds of things about him. -Kayla, bestie Kayla. She is suffering so, so much in this book. I almost hate to think it will get worse before it gets better. We get a tiny blip that Porter is making some moves behind the scenes and I can't see how he will get out of this grave he has dug himself. -There is a...claiming...and when he growls, "I broke my kitchen", I lost it-out loud. My family thinks I'm crazy because they caught me staring at my lap and laughing. -The identity of Josh's cousin is revealed. -We find out Josh's new plan is just as evil as his old plan. -Dani gets some of her memories back in the worst cliffhanger yet. -Chaos reigns for the last 2 POVs and leaves the reader hating every.single.thing.
Almost to the shutting up part... While I am worked up about the ending, I am trusting the process because there is NO WAY, none.at.all, that I think our author friend is going to allow this heartbreak to be real.
Last second things: 📌Multi-POV 📌No MM (MF✅ + MFM✅)
If you have come to the reviews to see if this book is for you, IT IS! I have recommended this book so many times and EVERY SINGLE TIME I get the same question, How did I not know about this book sooner.. B.M. Clemton DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Now the book. I have been waiting for this book since I finished the last one, I have been dying to know what happened because the last book ended on a cliffy. But what I didn't expect is to not know what I was walking into, often times I read books and I am able to call a few things if not all the main would be plot twists. Not here. So much happened in this book that I was not ready for, and characters I didn't want to like are now loved. New characters were added and fit into the world Clemton has created seamlessly! The characters are all learning their places and growing and again it is seamless. Often times when there are many pov if it's not done just right it can be confusing, I truly believe that Clemton could have 100 characters and there would be no confusion as she writes them each so uniquely that yo feel like you know them. That being said this book was a roller coaster, I was so happy I was squealing and just a few sentences later I was ready to cry, books that can give me the feels are what I live for. The spice in this one isn't as heavy as the one before, like there aren't as many scenes BUTTT what is there is TOP NOTCH spice. I have already started my reread of this book hoping that something will pop out that I missed before but so far I still lost. Now the cliffy here is no joke, I literally just closed my book and stared at the wall for about 5 minutes after finishing because my mind was all over the place. I can not wait to read the next book and will read anything and everything that Clemton puts out forever! AMAZING.
I swore after book two I was done with this series, but apparently peer pressure actually works🤣
The book was a lot better than book two, but there were still some leftover items that really annoyed me.
1. Yes, Gabriel had an excuse for betraying Danica, but I'm not sure he groveled enough. In fact, all his groveling came in the form of more emotional pain for her. 2. Why was Dax so quick to encourage Danica to get over everything Gabriel has done? 3. Why why why is Danica still giving this guy a second look? She did not shed her door mat status with this installment, even if I'm ok with the outcome. 4. Surely, if Gabriel can kill Dante they can be smart enough to a. Either get away with it. Or b.work around the consequences. 5. The whole Kayla thing was weird and confusing. The author either needed to devote more time to her character or cut her drama out.
Things I liked: 1. I liked the addition of Dom. The book needed a stronger character to balance out Gabriel. 2. The storyline and pacing were good. Writing still well done. 3. The cliffhanger was intriguing.
3,7 stars ish This series is getting better, i am really into the story. Dani girl, i feel that she is improving a lot in each book, she is getting stronger and more confident. Even tho she is sometimes a bit to forgiving and kind in some situations where i feel like she should be more pissed. Gabe i have mixed feelings over him, i have not forgot how stupid he acted in the previous books, and he still is acting like an idiot. But to get more backstory of him and his past i can understand him better but i have not forgiven him 100% i need him to grovel some more.
Noooo fuuuck that ending?! the wait is gonna be unbearable, i need it like right now
I am enjoying this series tremendously. Despite the fact that it is not even close to being finished this year (a pet peeve of mine) I still read all three current books in the series bc i liked the first book so much.
I personally dislike starting a series then waiting so long I forget about it by the time the next book comes out. But that’s just me. Some folks enjoy the suspense.
Weirdos. 🤣
Ok. Here are my CONS so far w the first three books. All just my preferences and nothing agst the rating. Just. Me.
The addition of a new love interest is exhausting to me. Even tho I dig him. It’s just. Ugh. Too many dudes liking this girl or obsessing over her. Too. Many. Atlas is lovesick and she can’t stand it. Joshua is obsessed. Dom is a tether. Dante cannot stand her being w his boys. 🙄 For. The. Love.
Leave some dudes for Kayla and Alice please. I’m sure they don’t want sloppy seconds.
Christ on a biscuit can we just stick to harems of five or less men? I can hardly keep up😵💫🤦🏻♀️
Some of the drama tossed in was unnecessary imho. I feel like this drags out the story and hence extends the books into longer series. I know why they do this. But it doesn’t make it ok w me. Get to the point. Please.
There is just a shit ton going on in these books bc of ALL THE FREAKING CHARACTERS. Again, I am reading the hell out of this series but damn. Calm down. 🤣🤣
Still looking forward to the last two.

This story actually picks up shortly before the end of book 2 - it starts with Gabe’s POV about why he made the choice he did. I do like that Dani doesn’t just get over it, and while Gabe is not one to grovel, you can tell he regrets the things he did. He is still a jerk, but he is starting to grow on me :) The new character is definitely intriguing and Zane + got to say I love my dragon shifter. We definitely see the relationships grow and deepen, and I like that they are all talking openly with each other. I am hooked on this series!
Still slow plot pacing but relationship pacing slowing too
Still a good book we get more info into Danica’s past and some truths come out. A new guy comes into the picture and unfortunately I felt like it was spoiled for me since the character index showed him as a MMC but we hadn’t yet met him. So I knew going in that someone new would be coming into the picture.
Dante has too much power, but a lot also doesn’t happen with him. I’m waiting for the big showdown or for Danica to get kidnapped and be without her guys for a while. I’m honestly surprised this hasn’t happened yet.
I know Kayla is her bff, but I honestly don’t know what the point of her character is. She’s barely seen this book.
Overall I did enjoy the book there’s tons of parts that made me chuckle because of the banter with the guys. Rotarian is hysterical. And I love Zane too.
Wow! I really need book 4 right freaking now! I don't think I can wait til September 2022.... I just can't! This book left off on a hellvua cliffhanger! 😥
I didn’t know this was an incomplete series when I started it and seeing the next one isn’t out until September has ruined my night, this is sooo good!
September is too far away. Don’t start if you’re not ready to wait
I have a really hard time writing coherent reviews when I’m this emotionally invested and I’m left the way I just was. I don’t do spoilers in reviews. But all I will say is that if the next book doesn’t start the way I’m banking on it starting I will finish this series on a broken kindle 😂 This would have been a 5 star read but I did find myself skimming. Gabe is my favorite I love that broody bastard but I really wanted to fight him this book. This book started and ended with a bang there’s just some spots you have to really push through in the middle. I’m still super stoked for the next book in the series.
This book is extraordinary! This series is amazing, and perfect, and everything I was hoping for! Black Veil University is the best new series I’ve read this year, and depending how the series ends, it may end up being one of my new favorites.
I’m not going to drone on about all the good things in this book, there are other reviews that will do this better. There isn’t a single thing I would change about the characters, the storyline, the plot or the world building. I honestly don’t think there is anything that could make this series better.
That cliffhanger though….I’m really nervous! And I’m freaking out about the wait for the next two books!
Here are some quick reminder notes:
- FMC is a water witch…or is she? (Raktori elemantal) - she is mated to 5 guys, with a 6th on the line (wolf shifter, reaper, telekinetic, gargoyle, dragon shifter, and the new guy is a warlock) - Bad guys: Dante, the evil councilman who is torturing and killing children for experiments, and Jason (Jackson? Jeremy? Whatever) who is obsessed with Dani, wants to kidnap her and keep her forever. He’s a dangerous blood mage - Medium burn (no group scenes yet) - Slow build harem - FMC has a mind block on her and she’s missing everything before 8 years old, she also has a block on he majority of her powers - No MM - Multiple POV’s
I swear my entire life flashed before my eyes when Gabe kissed her and they didn't feel the bond. Not only can I not imagine what it felt like for it to not be there but then for her to instantly have such an instant fear that he wouldn't want her anymore.
But of course he saved the day with his 'I want the bond back - but I need you' answer.
Also okay where did Dominic even begin to come into this. Are we just going to pick up a stray puppy for her to love in every single book?
This whole series is all sorts of ridiculous but - I'm kind of down bad for it.

I loved this book.. a great addition to the series and another fantastic read with a heart renching cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next one. The character development is fantastic and the writing is really well done. The book draws you in from the very first page and keeps your attention to the very last.
This truly was a roller coaster of a ride. I loved and hated it all at the same time.
This was the biggest cliffhanger I could imagine and I am not sure I have fully processed everything yet, so to ease that I am going to need the 4th book to come out ASAP.
I ate this book up and if you haven't started this series then you need to.
SYNOPSIS (5 Book Series): The FC was orphaned at age 8 and left with her aunt and uncles to be raised having gone through a series trauma and having no memory of her first 8 years. She goes to Black Veil University and becomes mated to 6Ms. The story centres around Dante, the father of one of her mates and how he has been kidnapping and experimenting on fae children to turn them into super soldiers. She also meets her BFF. The story arc is around the development of the FCs bonds, her regaining her memories and the group trying to stop Dante from continuing his nefarious plan! There are interactions with Demons and Angels as well as other supernaturals. Book 5 culminates in the big showdown and HEA.
On the whole this series was enjoyable but it went on for too long. It felt like the story was in a holding pattern of Dante being and doing bad things, lots of sex but the story not actually moving forward or evolving until the end of Book 5. The story is not particularly unique with the FC being orphaned, then finding out she is more than anyone thought she was, meeting the requisite spunky BFF on day 1, a bit of bullying by the main MC and a traumatic backstory for the FC and the MCs.
Whilst not unique the story was still readable but, as mentioned, it dragged and could have done with being condensed into maybe a trilogy. It was frustrating that Dante kept attacking, kidnapping children and doing bad things with apparently no repercussions and no stopping. The author glossed over how this was possible by saying that he controlled everyone. That still makes it very hard to believe that he could have got away with apparently everything he did such as mass demon attacks and kidnapping children whilst killing their families with noone investigating or asking questions. Unlike other series there also seemed to be no "wins" for the good guys. They were just permanently on the back foot reacting and not actively fighting Dante despite everything.
There were alot of sex scenes which I found to be not particularly sexy or hot and which were shoehorned in where possible and at what I felt were some particularly inopportune moments. The author seemed to feel that the characters would all be up for group sex after every battle where people were killed or maimed etc. Pretty sure that is going to be the last thing on your mind when your mates are injured.... In addition, considering how small the FC was supposed to be and how often she indulged in group sex I am not convinced she would be able to walk. Further, the FC seems to be another one of those virgins who apparently after sex once then is happy to hop into bed with multiple partners as often as possible. A bit OTT for me especially with 6 mates. For me 3 is optimal an 4 OK but anything more is ridiculous.
The MCs were likeable on the whole but I felt that due to the number (6) there was a distinct lack of development of each bond and individual relationship. Outside of the sex it seemed that the only reason that the FC and the MCs were together was because of their bond and not really through free will. I did not get the sense of any real individual relationship development except with possible Gabe and Remi. The characters themselves also felt underdeveloped in some instances (such as Roar the Gargoyle) and caricatures is some cases such as Zane and his dragon behaviour. The author could easily have dropped some of the MCs and the story would have been tighter.
Finally, after dragging the story out over 5 Books, I felt the climax was rushed and a let down. Due to various lame excuses the MCs had not been able to apparently take down or find Dante for years but then, all of a sudden, all the hinderances just vanish, they over hear someone talking of where Dante is and voila, there's a big showdown and everything is wound up neatly in a couple of chapters. It was disappointing to say the least. The whole ending felt rushed after an interminable lead up.
In summary, readable but I would not pay for the series, fortunately I got it on KU and I was skimming some sections by Book 3, especially the sex scenes.
Is an extension in a book series that draws you between one lover and another lover but without the need to choose, through a mysterious magical storyline that meets betrayals, emotion, and former suffering from past events. Are you ready for that?
knight forsaken is the third book in black veil university written by B.M Clemton and published 8 April 2022. Is a paranormal Reverse harem romance where it will be no choice between the love interests in the end.
❗This series has darker elements that you should be aware of as a reader, such as strong language, PTSD from kidnapping, assault, and violence... ❗
Knight forsaken picks up right before the ending of Knight revelations but this time from Gabe Pov We for seeing how he thinking and the reason behind his choices.
After that we go back to the present there we meet again in Dani’s perspective and what happens under that attack and get to see her thoughts and feelings.
I can say when I read the ending of Knight revelations i was so upset and angry with Gabe, his betrayal hit hard because i liked him as a character but reading through his action gave me another picture and it become easier to forgive him.
After the attack, we see how much past trauma can cause a problem in the present, we foresee how everyone recovers and the struggles that become of it. Everyone holds grudge against Gabe even if I Think he deserves It I also feel sorry for him.
We for seeing how Kayla suffering from the events but also closes people off and stops eating.
The guys become much more protective of Dani and we foresee the evolution of their relationship. In this book, we get presented to a new character too with the name Dominic and I normally Think it can get hard to get a connection with a later character that comes in a book but because of BM clemton’s amazing writing, this did not become the case.
you almost can feel a direct connection with Dominic like he was the missing piece in the group and I look forward to seeing more of him and getting to know what will become of him in the books and in Dani’s life.
OFC most I mention my two favorite guys Remi and Zander without them the book would not be the same the possessiveness and almost OTT over protectiveness they have and their need of always protect is just priceless but also how extremely amazing they are as individuals,
with that said I must also say that this book has some good spicy scenes so when the plot gets weaker the spice catch you up again.
We most even talk about the ending. I will not spoil anything but the 2 last Chapters got to me so hard and I can’t wait to read the next book.
This book gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐of five stars because for me is a book that I Can’t lay down, I love the characters, I love the plot, is something new that I not can find anything similar to. Is a book that gets to my emotions and that is not happening all the time and the spicy scene is great. What maybe can drag it some down is sometimes that is not so much. action but I think it can recover in later books.
The story ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger, but the good news is that this is a completed series, so all you have to do is keep on reading. Plus, the author gives us a heads-up about the cliffhanger right from the start!
This book takes on a darker tone than the first two, as it delves deeper into Danica and her history with The author is considerate enough to include trigger warnings about this, though.
Reasons for my 4-star rating
The plot slow down for spice The majority of this book seemed to lean more towards the romance within the harem, which left the plot feeling a bit sidelined. While I do enjoy some steamy scenes, I prefer them not to overshadow the storyline. Of course, that’s just my personal preference!
jam-packed ending At the end of this book, there’s quite a bit happening with all the main characters, side characters, and villains. It does feel a little chaotic right now. What I find challenging is that many of the new developments unfold in the last few chapters. As I mentioned earlier, the first three-quarters of the book leaned more towards exploring relationships, with a stronger emphasis on the spicy elements rather than on building those connections. Nevertheless, I'm still really interested in continuing with this series!
WOW, just wow. B.M. did it again, this book is fantastic! She has a way with words that just speak to me. I love everything about this series, and I think this may just be my favorite book yet. It starts right where the last left off and man is it a whirlwind starting in the first chapter. So much craziness, so many angry Gabe thoughts – but so much goodness in there too. Like each book once I started, I just wanted to read the whole thing in one sitting. This baby is thicc! Lots of wonderful pages to get lost in.
Dani and her guy’s bonds continue to grow, while Gabe attempts to work out what he’s supposed to do next. There is lots of anger there – lots of groveling is needed to make up for what he’s done. The bonds with Dax, Remi, Zane, and Roar continue to get lots of love and seeing them all possessive and protective just does it for me. Dom plays a bigger role here than in the previous book and I really loved getting to know him and trying to figure out where he fits into the puzzle.
There’s tons of twists and turns, lots of surprises that I didn’t see coming. The cliffhanger is just as brutal as her others so beware. The emotions pour off the page, the character growth and relationship growth are wonderful. The world that she has managed to create comes to life off the pages – I couldn’t have asked for anything better. This is an emotional, wild ride that you don’t want to miss! I’ll be over here counting the days until the next book; this series is just amazing! 🖤
Here we go! 4/5 Storyline/Plot 3.5/5 Spice 4/5 Overall Read
Okay all, this is the third installment in the “Knight Ascending” book series so if you haven’t read the first two books I urge you to do that prior to reading this review. Most of this will remain spoiler-free but I’m not a perfect person.
The book started off by rectifying the massive cliffhanger at the end of the second book and put the readers back at ease. Action wise I found this book, in comparison to the first two, to be rather tame with the bulk of the book focusing more on the bonds Danica has with “her guys” and the past that ties them all together. Books like this are necessary in a longer series but do cause it to slow down the reading at times.
What this book “lacked” (I say this very loosely) in action, it made up for in spice! Very detailed lengthy scenes which I personally love. We got to experience Danica’s other men that didn't get detailed scenes in the second book while still having steamy scenes with the originals.
Something I am personally living for in this series is the complicated relationship between Danica and Gabe which really pulled through at the forefront of this book. Pleasant surprises and gutwrenching trauma hit you all at once in the last few chapters so brace yourself.
A few unexplained events occurred throughout this book along with a few new developing relationships that I am looking forward to learning about in the next book.
Normally, around book 3+ in a series I start to get bored and can't help but skim the story. This was not the case in Knight Forsaken. 🔥 Over 400 pages of I cannot put this book down that kept me engaged and excited to read every word of Dani's story. 🔥
We are also introduced to a new addition to the group, which again, normally would have me overwhelmed with a 'this is too many' feeling, however the addition of Dominic flowed seamlessly into Dani's story. My personal jury is still out in regards to how I feel about him though. It will be interesting to see his dynamic in the next book.
💞Lastly:💞 Shoutout for a strong female friendship! Too many RH books forget that the FMC needs a social life outside her guys. Kayla is definitely bestie goals.
