Breathers are boogeymen of night with coloured eyes and cruel intent. Their power is their Breath—coloured mist mirroring that of their eyes, running viciously through immortal veins. In the heat of a riverside ritual turned fight for her life, Kloii Kayrel—a hunter with a clinical avoidance to touch—forgets that a Breather’s immortality can't be ended so easily. In the Farm, a series of caverns where only the most brutal and bloodthirsty warriors reside, she must hide the colour of her eyes and the troubling reason she refuses to be touched. Complications soon extend past finding portals as people go missing whom only Kloii remembers, memories from a night she refuses to remember forcing her to acknowledge the skeletons of her past.
