Can the girls escape Anneshka and find a cure for Mark before it’s too late? Their quest will take them through the door in the tree and further than ever before, into the magical lands of Nedobyt beyond.
But there is more to this kingdom than meets the eye. Miro, Imogen and Marie must learn its secrets if they’re to save their families – and stop Anneshka once and for all...

This is the last book in the Clock of Stars trilogy. Like the others, it features illustrations by Chris Riddell (which was the reason I bought the first one, in the first place). The illustrations are brilliant - I truly wish there were more.
For the final instalment, we see Imogen and Marie back in our own world. Both of them have their own worries, but we also see that both of them have grown, and developed, in different ways since their last adventure. Their relationship is changing too, and this makes the story feel slightly more authentic; for what they have seen and experienced, it would only be natural for them to change over time, and for their relationship to change. The difference with this final part of the tale is that a lot more of the action takes part in our own, real world, rather than the world through the door in Habberdash Gardens. And this one sees them having to help their step-dad, Mark. Ever since he came back from the other world in the second book, he seems to be different. And then he falls ill. Will Imogen and Marie be able to save him?
I really enjoyed this trilogy. There is a part of me that will be sad to see Imogen and Marie go.

Wow. There is not Ms. Francesca Gibbons (I am looking at you).
I need a 4th book, doesn’t you? Well we need it for me, I’m going to lose my mind if there isn’t!!!!
A smile face for courage: :):):):):):):)
Maybe that was too much.

A satisfying ending. When I got close to the end I was concerned that I would be disappointed in the ending. I couldn’t foresee how the author would end the book in such a short amount of “time”(pages). The Olympics were happening at the same time as I as reading this or I would have finished sooner! I felt that this one was a little darker and more violent than I remember the first two books being. But, to be fair, I read them last year at this time and there have been many books read between then and now.

Totally adored book 1 and 2. In comparison I’m horrified with myself to say that The Greatest Kingdom felt a little rushed. It was a long time before Mum, Marie and Imogen went through the door. Once they did it was much more exciting.

It was however, a very satisfying ending to the trilogy with everything neatly tied up and accounted for. Still beautiful writing and the illustrations by Chris Riddle were wonderful.

The trilogy is definitely modern day Narnia - better I’d say!

A great end to a great series
Imogen and Marie are back in England but now so is Aneshka and when trouble from the world through the door continues to affect the sisters they have to take action
Meanwhile miro forgets where he is going
Brilliant characters and storyline and so well written
Highly recommend to anyone who loves a magical middle grade story

This series started out with me hating the MC and by the end of it, I've come to adore her of sorts.

Tho I am sad that the girls and Miro may not ever see each other again, I was hoping for them to have an open passage and go in and out of the worlds as they please. Rather it took more of a Narnia approach with the ending.

The best of the three books. Each book has just gotten better! Hoping this isn't the end of Marie and Imogen's adventures. I've enjoyed watching them grow as their adventures through the door are told.

Another fantastic adventure! This series has created a real buzz in my classroom. They love the mystery, the excitement and most of all, the self belief. What an amazing gift to young readers this collection is!

Everything what a children’s trilogy needs!
Fun, excitement, mystery & last but not least tons of magic. No spoilers here, my last remark is that the story deals with anxiety, bullying, loneliness & fear.
It’s show how you can deal with problems & be your own hero. 😊

Absolutely loved the 3 books and wished for more in the series.

We particularly enjoyed the book because my daughter and I are bilingual (English-Czech) and so we understood the underlying nuances of the lore, the characters, and the place-names.

A Brilliant final instalment of The Clock of Stars trilogy, following the adventures of Marie, Imogen and Miro. I would love to revisit in the future to see what happens with Miro and his family

I like the part when Miro, who is a slipskin, turns into a mountain falcon and he wakes the mountains to close the ravine.
