Bentley Dupont has been the hardworking, conscientious, and dependable COO of DuPont Wineries for his whole adult life. Now, his mom’s stepped down as CEO, and Bentley’s stepped up. He’s having more fun at work - and it’s about time he had some fun outside of work.
Alyssa Lloyd’s life is in a state of flux. She has some big decisions to make. So, she’s glad for the chance to take a break and visit her dad, Russ, in Summer Lake and meet his new fiancée, Ria.
Bentley’s only in Summer Lake for the weekend to see his mom, Ria. No one there knows him. What would be the harm in hooking up with the beautiful brunette he meets at the bar – especially if he doesn’t use his full name? No one needs to know that Lee is short for Bentley.
Alyssa’s staying at the resort and only plans to pop into the bar for a quick drink and to say hi to the bartender, Kenzie. But the hot guy sitting alone, drinking bourbon, makes her want to stay awhile and get to know him.
Her dad would not approve, and she knows it. But if she goes by the name Lizzie – which isn’t a lie, it’s what her mum calls her – then no one needs to know. At least, no one other than Kenzie, who’s assured her that while the guy might look familiar, he’s definitely not a local.
After one amazing night together, Lee and Lizzie are both sad to say goodbye. But it’s the only option as they each rush off to meet up with their parents.
You’ll have to pick up your copy of this sweet and steamy romance to discover how Bentley and Alyssa deal with discovering that last night’s fling is their soon-to-be step-sibling – and with hiding from their parents the fact that they already know each other – intimately!
It’s not the most auspicious beginning to a relationship, but they soon discover that they can’t keep their minds – or their hands – off each other
Hi, I'm SJ. A coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.
I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.
I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.
These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)
Bentley DuPont was appointed the new CEO of DuPont Wineries, when his mother stepped down and got engaged to Russ Lloyd. Bentley’s life consisted mostly all work with no outside life after the appointment. Alyssa Lloyd had just changed her career choice and started a new phase to her life. Bentley and Allyssa accidentally met at the bar in Summer Lake. With the help of Kenzie, the friendly bartender, the two had an instant attraction and sizzling connection. They had a amazing one night stand only using the two made-up names, not using last names. Little did they know that her father and his mother were the couple they were to meet the next morning. The one night of amazing chemistry, together, had both of them not wanting to say goodbye. Meeting the parents, their undeniable attraction, and their sweet, steamy romance that involves secrets, family interference, makes finding “the one” a fun adventure! Another great story about the Hamiltons!
I won't lie, I was equal parts excited but also apprehensive going into this one. Learning that last night's hookup is your new step sibling is one thing but then continuing on with a relationship after funding out, I wasn't sure how that was going to work. But, after reading it, I couldn't see it any other way. Bentley and Alyssa truly are perfect for one another. Successful CEO billionaire meets accountant. Neither have had much relationship experience, and both are very work driven but also feel like it's time for some fun too. The "spreadsheets just do it for me" had me cracking up throughout and way their families supported them and mended together was was one of my favorite parts. I couldn't put it down! Another 5 star review for a 5 star book!
I loved that Alyssa let her hair down the night before she was to meet her dad and his fiancé. Her and Bentley had the right idea that night, but boy were they surprised when they saw each other the next morning at breakfast! Bentley had spent most of his time at his company, especially since he was appointed CEO and didn’t go out much. Alyssa was an accountant that worked mostly with numbers and didn’t date much. You could sure feel the attraction between the two! I loved how they made time to see each other for the weekends as they lived in different cities. It sure helped that Bentley had a plane that made it easier for them to see each other. The two were both such nice people and made a great couple. They definitely had some obstacles to get through. This is such a good book that I strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
I absolutely loved Bentley and Alyssa's story. Neither of them were expecting love when it found them. This is one of those books where you can stop reading but don't want it to end. A captivating read that I read straight through.
Bourbon and Bluebells The next instalment in SJ McCoy’s The Hamilton’s, this book could be read as a stand-alone, but I have to admit I’d recommend you read ALL of SJ’s other stuff to date as you’d get a much richer experience as you’d recognise loads of characters. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair review . The two main characters were first introduced to us in a Summer Lake Silver series book, featuring his mum and her dad! Bentley has grown up in the family wine business working with his mum in the high profile company DuPont Wines. He has dedicated himself to the business for years and now finds himself as the CEO, with his mum having taken a step back but more importantly he finds himself ready for some fun. Alyssa, grew up with her mum and dad (or so she thought) in England, before moving to America for her studies. When she moved over her mum had a ‘family friend’ lined up to support her. Though when the dad she had known growing up dies, her mum reveals that her biological father is the friend, Russ. Having not known he had a daughter, Russ and Alyssa feel they have missed out on a lot and are enjoying spending time together to make up for the years they were deprived of. Bentley and Alyssa end up visiting their parents on the same weekend and so as not to make either feel put out they both book rooms in the resort. Their first night their they decided to make the most of there free time before meeting with their parent and new partner and a new step sibling the next morning. Bentley decides he is looking for a night of fun so introduces himself to the hot girl as ‘Lee’. Alyssa, not usually one for a one night thing and not wanting her dad to hear from anyone, decides to use her mum’s nickname for her and uses the name ‘Lizzie’. After a great night and both hopeful they may manage another meeting at the resort the next night, dependent on how their pre-made plans went they head their separate ways. A quick shower and off to breakfast to sit at the same table as each other and realise the other is their parent’s partner’s child! Unable to let their true identities get in the way the pair very quickly realise this was never a one night thing nor a short fling – Bentley is an adorable and caring guy who wants what is best for Alyssa, and hopes every step of the way that she chooses him to be the best thing for her. A truly wonderful story from start to finish – I loved both characters and their story so much.
I’ve definitely needed a trip back to Napa to see our friends the Hamilton’s and of course the Dupont’s and we also get to visit the lake as well and see a few of our friends there. What a great beginning to the story when Bentley (Lee) and Alyssa (Lizzie) see each other and they’re checking each other out, fast forward and they run into each other a couple of hours and decide to hang out and maybe something more might happen, but they introduce themselves as Lee and Lizzie. Of course, they have an amazing night, but both have to go their separate ways in the morning since they both have plans. Who knew it would be a small, small world when they run into each other again with Lee who is really Bentley when he meets his mom and Lizzie who is really Alyssa who meets her dad, Russ, who happens to be with Ria, and they have to act as if they don’t know each other. This is a wonderful book and I loved when Bentley and Alyssa run into Smoke and Laura and leave it to Smoke to point out the obvious when the two are trying to keep it on the down low. I really enjoyed this story, personally not a fan of her mother but she came around in the end and come to find out they were keeping a secret that didn’t need to be kept. I wasn’t expecting that. What a great ending for Bentley and Alyssa and the way he surprised her was so thoughtful. It looks like we’re back at the lake for Dalton and Taryn’s story and can’t wait to read their book.
Bourbon and Bluebells is book 7 in the Hamilton's series. We head back to Napa to meet Bentley the newly appointed CEO on Du Point Wineries. Bentley is a self professed workaholic and after seeing his mother Ria step back from the grind Bentley is determined to live his life to the fullest.
Alyssa Lloyd has had a changeable childhood. Up until the age of 5 she believed her father was her step father but Alyssa finds out years later that her father is really Russ the quiet gym owner and currently engaged to Ria.
Without giving too much away we are swept into the romance of Lee and Lizzy. I was silently cheering them on throughout the story. It just shows you that love can strike at any moment.
This was a heartwarming read and it was great to see the mix of Summer Lake and Napa again.
I would definitely recommend this as an easy read with entertaining characters throughout.
This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Bentley and Alyssa’s story. Bentley is a hardworking CEO who took over the reins at the winery when his mum stepped down, while Alyssa is an accountant, who has some choices to make in her life, so she heads to Summer Lake to see her dad, Russ. Bentley and Alyssa meet in the bar and start chatting, and they hook-up, but they have both used false names, only to cross paths again the next morning. This is a beautifully written story which has humor, witty banter, emotions, friendships, family, and love, which leads to an entertaining, compelling and poignant page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This book brings us back to Napa with Bentley and Alyssa's book. They first meet in a bar. sparks fly, both curious about the other. After a night of passion, and what they both see as one night, they go their separate ways, only to find out they're going to be seeing alot of each other. We go from summer lake back to Napa for a for a wonderful love story. Surrounded by family and friends, This story will keep you interested. Well done SJ Mccoy, Every book gets better and better. This is a great series.
SJ has done it again! I love the escape I get whenever I read one of her books and this one did not disappoint. Bentley and Alyssa start off in an awkward way, but love always wins. I love how Alyssa brings him back to the social screen and together they complete each other. I loved getting g back to Napa as well as Summer Lake. Getting to visit with past characters and meeting new makes the story stronger. SJ has a way of making you feel like you are right there with the characters and can visualize the entire setting. I can't wait for the next book.
Bentley and Alyssa’s story is a mix of romance and family. They meet in a bar, sparks fly and wake up to wishing their one night stand wasn’t over. Imagine their surprise when later that morning they realize they are on their way to being related as step siblings.
Don’t worry, in true HEA fashion, Bentley and Alyssa fall love and their family is ecstatic.
This latest edition of the Hamilton’s series is a 5 out of 5, must read.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I always love going back to visit Summer Lake. This story was split between Summer Lake and Napa. Bentley runs the family winery. His mom, Ria has gotten together with Alyssa’s dad, Russ. They meet before they know about their parents. It’s soon obvious that they belong together. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to everyone.
Alyssa and Bentley are a great couple! They each go to visit their parents and going to meet their future step sibling. But what they don’t know is that they meet each other the night before at the Boathouse. How do you play it off when your introduced? Can you be in a relationship with your future step sibling?
Such a sweet romantic story of 2 meeting by chance, hitting it of and falling in love with the perfect partner. This was a wonderful story and so happy you gave Lee & Lizzie their own chance at love...hoping Willow gets her story. That ought to be really good. Keep on writing...you are one talented author.
Loved it! Every book is an opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. This book starts off with a one night stand but quickly becomes so much more. Love how this one turned out! Looking forward to Willow and Slade’s story 💕

Alyssa and Gently are so cute....are you ok with that ? Now...where will these weddings take place? Summer Lake? I hope so. I don't mean to spoil anything for other readers...so I won't ! Enjoy
One night of passion………the next morning introductions as …….step siblings? How can that be? And when this person is the only one you really have a connection with. Read to see if a shocking surprise can still have love. Great book!
I love SJ's books The stories are told in such a way that you are drawn to the lives of all the people. It's as if you have known them all their lives growing up. Then watching them fall in love. The Bluebells are a great fit. Happy Reading!
Couldn't put it down, SJ McCoy never disappoints. Can't wait for the next instalment, I always feel as though I know the characters in real life, through her books.

SJ McCoy, another wonderful book for the series. I love Alyssa and Bentley's story. Love how it was love at first sight, at least in my opinion. They did not let obstacles overpower their love.
Oh I just loved Bentley and Alyssa story!! They had such a strong connection right from the first moment they saw each other!! I would recommend this book to everyone! It is a must read!
A great return trip to Summer Lake and having it split with Napa, this was a new twist but, Alyssa and Bentleys is a great one! Already looking forward to the next one!
Enjoy the latest book in the Hamilton series. Bentley and Alyssa’s love journey has a lot of ups and downs and decisions that have to be made. Excellent read.
What a great book. I loved the way they meet. One night stand and all. Then meeting the next day at breakfast. They were perfect for each other. Great series
Another great story in the series. Loved Bentley (Lee) and Allysa (Lizzie) together. Both let there hair down and found a love they weren't even looking for.
