This book is one of the best books about health that I have read…and I’ve read a lot this last couple of years.

Ever since the loss of my father and then getting Covid shortly after, my immune system has not been functioning as well as before. I have had more than 25 lots of antibiotics in 2 and a half years due to recurrent infections and will need to have surgery at some point in the future due to the repercussions of inflammation. My gut health was shot and I was trying to hold down a full time job, manage a household, care for my aging mum, battle endless grief over the loss of my dad, my health and the loss of what my future looked like. Yet there was nothing physically diagnosable that was wrong with me…I didn’t have time or the mental health reserves to sit around and accept that this is how it had to be, i had to take action. So like I said, I’ve read A LOT of books to try and find ways to improve my health, physically and mentally, as we know they are so intertwined.

I have found so many tips and tricks that are making such a difference to my life every day from those that I have read, but honestly, this book encompasses everything I have read and all in one book. It is truly a wonderful starting point to aid in a health journey where things are ‘just not quite right’.

I really like both books by Jenna Macciochi. This one is a lot more practical, and lots of information. Take your time reading it!

Really useful for someone wanting to take charge of their health. Some things were interesting in the book and the activities were really easy to do and useful for pointing ways to improve your immune health. I had overlooked my environment in my immunity plans and so I was glad to get the chance to buy more houseplants for my health! Some of the advice was glossed over quite quickly and would have been more convincing with more evidence included in the text, but given this book is quite general I suppose there wasn’t Always scope for details of “why”.

Enjoyed reading about the intersection between nutrition and immunity and Dr Jenner makes the science easy to understand. Particularly enjoyed the questionnaires to evaluate your own health and coaching pages to develop actions plans to improve your health with steps. Looking forward to trying some new recipes. Health is wealth and anybody that wants to be a health millionaire should read this book!

Helpful and informative, but if I had a greater organic chemistry or micro biology background (beyond the basics ) it would help with remembering some of the details. Lots of common sense backed with science, touching on the mind-body connection which is refreshing to see from a scientist.

A thorough breakdown on all things relating to immunity. The advice is familiar, eat more plants, drink more water, get more sleep, get more exercise: all the shifts that will make you feel healthier in general.
