Natasha is Grand Ridge's event planner and when her computer crashes, her cousin calls Jay to help.
As Natasha goes to check out the Citadel, the elite BDSM club, for and event, she watches Jay doing
a spanking demo. Twice she snuck into the Citadel and Jay is upset with her over that. Natasha is a talker and chatters on, interrupts and jumps to conclusions. Mostly, she defends her larger body type and that shite has to stop as far as Jay is concerned. The back and forth communications between them is fun, Natasha really could use a ball gag to learn control of her habit to jump to conclusions. Jay does teach her some control as he guides her through training as a submissive and his lessons in control are hot and their interractions are panty meltingly stimulating. I loved Jay and Natasha's story and how well they got on together and how well Jay took control of Natasha and taught her how to let
herself go and enjoy a lifestyle she knew nothing about before Jay opened her up to it.

Live Wire by R.J. Gray brought together the cozy vibe of small town romance, the edgy and suspenseful vibe of a military romantic suspense and finally, the sultry side of a BDSM romance. It was fast paced. It was steamy. If you are looking for a quick sexy entertainer, this one is for you.

Jay is the owner of The Citadel, the exclusive BDSM club in Grand Ridge. He is also part of Valhalla, a community where wounded ex military men undergo rehabilitation. His friends have formed a great community. He agrees to help Natasha with her computer trouble on his friend's request. Natasha owns the widely successful event management company. But as he starts the job, he suspects that it's some hacker and he thinks the small business of the small town will soon get hit by a ransomware and they do. Now he has to solve the case along with fighting his attraction for Natasha who has come to know about his dom lifestyle and the Citadel.

I haven't read the previous books in Men if Valhalla series and it did not stop me from enjoying this book. This book was a bit tricky to rate. Some parts of great. The parts when Jay was teaching Natasha the BDSM lifestyle. The tension was great and so was the chemistry. I also loved the suspense part. Natasha is an amazing character. I love how the author made her curvy and made her be all unapologetic about being herself. She is intelligent and witty and smart and sassy. The sass part put her in trouble in more times I could count. She is curious and reckless when the reason is right and hard working. Jay is the best kind of alpha dominant. I absolutely love his bossy and controlling ways. He was caring and equally demanding. I just felt I was spending too much time in details while I could have spent more time with the emotional side. And the story ended really abruptly. There was a long build up as Jay was slowly teaching Natasha his ways and that was ok but I thought we will see how Natasha and Jay really navigate the lifestyle once she is properly initiated in Citadel. It really felt like an incomplete story.

THE MASTER AND THE NOVICE

The story is the sixth book in the Veterans of Valhalla series but could be read as a stand-alone. When Natasha Metlon, an event planner in Grand Ridge, was having computer issues, Bobby's girlfriend asked Jay if he could do a favor and help her--this is their story.

Jay will meet Natasha, owner of Grand Ridge Event Planning Services, about issues she has been having with her computer. In the short time he checks it out, he realizes it is a more significant issue than something he can fix on the spot and needs to take it back with him. Jay is intrigued by Natasha from the moment he meets her. But this won't be the only time. With the help of some friends, Natasha will attend a class at the Citadel, the BDSM club Jay owns. The only issue, she had no business there, and her friends knew that when they snuck her in.

The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly in people. It will have chemistry between Jay and Natasha, but she is as vanilla as he is into kink. Natasha has a client who wants to do a collaring ceremony at the Citadel. She goes about it wrong to obtain information, which doesn't sit well with Jay or the other men. She won't be the only lady in trouble. Not once but twice, she will manage to sneak into the Citadel, and Jay lets her know that she would be punished if she were his girl.

Jay and Natasha start a relationship, not something he usually would do with someone in the lifestyle, but she is open to learning. He is a strict dominant, and she will be a challenge, with her propensity for interrupting him--a total pet peeve of his. Their date turns into two, and Jay informs her of his feelings, expectations, demands, and desires. He brings her a BDSM contract to study and tells her he will gladly answer any questions. But, it will be Sally, her cousin's wife, who answers many of her questions--seeing that she and Brody are into the lifestyle. Jay is straightforth with Natasha about his feelings and belief.

"When you consent to being mine, I own you."

"You'll find, Natasha, sometimes I ask you what you want, sometimes I take what I want, and other times, I simply give you what you need."

The story has a mystery; someone has hacked and installed malware on business computers in the town of Grand Ridge, holding them ransom for bitcoins. Sally and Natasha will find themselves caught in a dangerous game of life and death. Will her reckless behavior be a cause for Jay to change his opinion of a relationship with her?

The story does have power exchange, discipline, and explicit scenes. It also has a few scenes witnessed inside the Citidel.

A hottie dominant nerd? Where do I sign up? I’m sure there are some who will find that this story moved too slowly for them when it spent so much time focusing on and stressing the safe, sane, and consensual aspects of the Lifestyle. This part of the story actually made me love it more all because it took the time to do this. Particularly since it’s taking a novice submissive, who’s only ever seen the media’s portrayal of how bad people can abuse the Lifestyle, and throwing her into the deep end. I really liked Natasha. Her fierce self-confidence about (most of) her appearance is something I aspire to achieve. However, I couldn’t fully believe in that confidence considering the lengths she goes to with her make-up routine to appear “acceptable” to the rest of the fat-shaming society at large. But I guess we all have our quirks. I hated seeing that Natasha had been diagnosed with PCOS, but I appreciated seeing it in the book. It’s too common an affliction to be as unknown as it is. For the most part, I loved Jay too. He’s a caring, protective alpha that made me all swoony. Though, there were a couple of times that I thought he was a little too inflexible with his adherence to his rules, and I felt like he ‘rushed his fences’ with Natasha, going from zero to full dom in a very short time. I was fascinated by the cyber crimes they were dealing with, and I would have loved to see a bit more about the way they brought the villains to justice. It sounds like Nick might be our next hero up on offer and I’m really looking forward to seeing how his story will play out.

This series has become one of my favorites in the past year or so. Every book gets better as we get the stories from each of the guys and gals who live in Valhalla. This is Jay and Natasha's story and it's it so hot!! Natasha is such an awesome character, she gives as good as she gets and that catches the eye of Jay, who owns The Citidal.......the BDSM club that a lot of the guys belong too. Watching Jay and Natasha navigate their way through a relationship was so much fun! When something happens with the computers systems in town, Jay is called in to help since he is an IT guy. It's mindboggling and they can't really figure out who is holding computer systems ransom. But when Natasha and her friend discover something dangerous, she's about to learn a lesson in hiding stuff from her Dom. I swear, the banter back and forth between these two kept me reading page after page. Couldn't put it down!!

"Time is the most expensive gift a person can give. It is the one thing in life you cannot get back "

Jay and Natasha's story is really amazing.

Natasha is the town's event planner and Jay is Valhalla's computer guy. Hackers brought these two together, but her sass and his bossy ways are keeping them that way.

I do love that there was minimal angst. There was a threat but it wasn't action explosive, its nice to get a break from heavy threats. Now while I did love that Natasha is brand spanking new to the lifestyle, I wasn't thrilled that Jay was heavy on what he wanted and what he expected. Also, for all Jay's expectations, we never got to see Natasha put her new found knowledge to work. I would've loved to see them at The Citadel, especially since Jay owns it.

All in all, this is a great book, ESPECIALLY because Natasha is a plus size beauty ♥️

The couple: Jay and Natasha

Romance trope: bdsm
Series: Veterans of Valhalla
Length: 193 pages

Plot: Natasha is a bubbly, workaholic event planner who gets to know Jay when he helps her with a technology problem. He ends up helping her a lot, as she's the target of a ransomware attack. They soon discover that most of the small businesses in town have also been attacked. At the same time, Natasha is trying to scope out Jay's bdsm club because a client of hers wants to use the club for their commitment ceremony and she needs to know about the space. But Jay doesn't want her in there until she has some training/classes, and he's happy to get that started for her.

Commentary: Jay spent a lot of time thinking about how Natasha irritated him with all her talking and how he would like to gag her. That's a strange thing to continually think about someone you're falling for. I understand the interrupting being a problem, but she's chatty - if he doesn't like that, he should find someone he does like instead of trying to change her! He thinks bad thoughts about how much she talks and the pitch of her voice; how on earth will he live with her for an extended period of time - just keep her gagged? Because it sounds like that's what he wants to do.

He knew everything about bdsm (apparently) and she knew nothing. He went from 0 to 60 in the course of an afternoon. All I could think was "whoa, slow down cowboy!" He was like "want to go on a date with me? Also call me master and let me tie you up and completely dominate you all the time?" Can she not finish her food first? It was a little disconcerting.

The ending felt a little abrupt, and it was unusual in that it didn't end with a scene between the two main characters. I'm guessing that the action might go straight into the next book (I hope, otherwise the ending could use a softer landing).

Grammar/formatting: needed another pass with the proofreader (some misused/confused words, misplaced apostrophes); also, I sometimes found the writing a bit stilted, mostly because of the lack of contractions in the dialogue.

Next book in the series: Romeo

Great addition to series wonderful characters, well written and marvellous plot
A wonderful read I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and I enjoyed the characters that had been written so very well and when I started reading the book it was impossible to put the book down until I reached the final page and discovered the outcome, it was a simply fantastic read.
Natasha who is an event planner and is a local event planner and she was being helped by Jay with her computer issues and whilst she has a habit of having erratic conclusions which sometimes are right, more often a little wide of the mark.
A case that Natasha is working on show shows that businesses in the area are being hacked and that this is causing a great deal of problems. Natasha has been causing a few problems by actually creeping into one of the clubs that he owns, a club that she is supposed to have permission to even be inside because of the nature of it.
She has decided to work alongside her cousin to prove the cleaner than clean mayor may be connected with the actual ransomware attack on the local businesses, when she then begins to come under threat, she has to admit to Jay that she believed the judge may be involved.
As the story unfolds and the Valhalla group all come together to help both Jay and Natasha as he discovers that she might actually be in danger because of her persistence in investigating the mayor.
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

This is the sixth in the author's series about military veteran doms and their submissives. Here we get computer whiz Jay and event planner Natasha. He's kinky; she's vanilla: can they make it work? And can they catch whoever is targeting her business? Note: While the bulk of the MC's relationship takes place here, the book does begin in medias res -- after they've already met -- so I assume that happened previously. In any case, it did take me a bit to catch up; between that, appearances by other characters without any introduction, and references to past events, I'm not sure this works as a complete standalone.

I had very mixed feelings about this book and not for the first time wish that GR offered half stars. I'll start with the positives: I appreciated the emphasis on consent; that the MC were older (for this genre); that the women were all friends; the ransomware mystery subplot (which I know little about so found those details interesting); and the relatively typo-free prose. Finally (and most importantly), I really appreciated that atypically for the BBW books I've read in this genre, Natasha has absolutely no hang-ups about her body. She's not the victim of fat-shaming (currently, anyway); she's not pining for someone she thinks won't be attracted to her because of her size; she's not trying to lose weight; and she's not home alone because she's ashamed of her looks. In short, Natasha defies every single stereotype of the loveless, friendless, esteemless, plus-size woman and I'm so here for that!

Unfortunately, however, though the bubbly, energetic, self-confident Natasha is very likable, Jay is not. Every relationship -- even a D/s one -- involves compromise and Jay was so "it's my way or the highway" that I came away thinking that the lifestyle was more important to him than she was -- and once I think that, I lose my investment in the MC. I particularly objected to how strongly he came on to a complete newbie -- so OTT that only by the magic of fiction does Natasha not run screaming from the restaurant. I never believed that she was okay with his high-handedness and I didn't think much of him as a romantic partner. At no point in this story, for example, did he ever ask what her expectations of a relationship with him were. Finally (in terms of negatives), the book contained unnecessary detail (the mechanics of BDSM play; Natasha's beauty routine); some of the transitions between scenes were so abrupt that I thought I had missed some pages (particularly right before they eat at Corky's or towards the end, when they go out for coffee); and the resolution to the mystery was abrupt, with the otherwise levelheaded Natasha's actions and secrecy in particular making little sense.

3 1/s stars. Those who like consensual, fairly mild kink with some story to underpin the smexy times may enjoy this, particularly those new to this genre since Ms. Gray does explain many categories of BDSM. It looks like Daddy Dom Nick will get the next book. Note: If you don't want to know how this ends, I'd avoid reading the reviews here and on Amazon since, as per usual, an ARCie™ has spoiled it. And this is Reason #553 for why I think the ARC Program is hopelessly broken.

Live Wire🔥🔥🔥

The 6th book in the BDSM Military romance series.

They can be read as stand alone, however I highly recommend you read them in order to fully benefit from each book.

I am thrilled that the choice of character for Natasha was a voluptuous gorgeous lady who was full of self confidence!

Having been all sizes due to medical issues I can definitely identify with people who are “fat shamed” for not adhering to society’s false values of what is acceptable and considered attractive/beautiful/gorgeous.

Our worst critic & hater is ourselves, so the fact that Natalie is in love with herself & perfectly at peace with her size is brilliant!

She is portrayed as a well respected, very intelligently, astute, & creative, highly successful business woman who is a deeply engrained member of society.

Natasha is absolutely not frightened to stand up for herself & voice her opinions, although doesn’t always think before she speaks!

Jay aka Live Wire is a prominent member of Valhalla and Master who is a highly intelligent computer expert & seriously gorgeous ex military.

He’s the very private strong silent type, that’s brings out the nervous “chatty catty” school girl in Natasha whenever she sees him.

This is another fantastic plot line integrating a beautiful love story woven together within this book.

As always I’m not ready for it to end and can’t wait to continue the adventures of each member of Valhalla!

5 *

Natasha is Grand Ridge's event planner. She will plan anything from birthday parties to anniversaries. Anything that you may need, she can do it. When her computer crashes, her friend calls in a favor. And Jaymison is the favor. He is a computer geek who also is the Master of Masters-the owner of The Citadel, an elite BDSM Club. And when all the local businesses are targeted by a ransomware attack, their worlds come into contact again. And neither can deny their chemistry. But Jay has not only sworn to no more relationships but especially with women firmly in the vanilla world.

Usually in books that have some sort of BDSM element, the man is most definitely my favorite part. And don't get me wrong-I really liked Jay's character! But Natasha is everything in this book! She is sweet, sassy, and just everything I wish I really was! I loved how she was written! I love that this is a character that isn't super skinny, she has curves. And she has the same condition that my daughter has and struggles with. That made her more believable to me. Their interactions not only were hot in a lot of ways but in others they just made me laugh. He is super strict and dominant and she doesn't have a clue about any of it, which did make me laugh! My only issue-it felt like it ended before it should have. You don't really see Natasha fully navigating this lifestyle or even further down the road that she is fully in it and it fits them. It felt kinda abrupt. Everything else though? I loved!

This is the latest book in the Veterans of Valhalla series. We were introduced to Jay and Natasha in the epilogue of the previous book (Romeo), so when the story opens the couple have already met. I liked Natasha - she's fun, chatty, outgoing, confident and unapologetic about who she is. I mostly liked Jay and found him a great foil for Natasha. I really liked the way that the reader (like Natasha) is walked through the beginning of a BDSM relationship. The inclusion of PCOS and cybercrime made the story both interesting and topical.
I was carefully following the suspense part of the story and noticing how much of the book had elapsed so assumed that this storyline must carry over into the next book. But then it just wrapped up and ended incredibly suddenly, leaving me feel kind of thrown out of the story. Then I thought it might tidy up in the epilogue, but that was just setting up the next book. But even the epilogue finished suddenly. It's almost like the writer either lost interest in the story or reached her word limit. There was punishment mentioned which was never dealt with and while I don't require a HEA, I need something more than this story provided.
Overall, the story is well written and what is there I was really enjoying, but my problem lies in what isn't there. Maybe if the author committed to making the books even marginally longer, she wouldn't feel so rushed to finish.

Jay is another one of the guys at Valhalla, he is a cyber security expert and consults with the government. Bobby’s girlfriend Dee asked him to help Natasha, a local event planner with some computer issues, but he discovers a bigger issue. While trying to investigate and solve this, Jay wants to start a relationship with Natasha who is prone to jump to conclusions, interrupt him and others and take unnecessary risks. Jay finds evidence, that all the local businesses are being hacked and the town is ultimately held hostage by a ransomware attack. Natasha further complicates their relationship by sneaking into the lifestyle club owned by Jay twice. She also teams up with her cousin-in-law who has information that the mayor is involved in the ransomware attack and that he has taken money from some bad guys. Natasha eventually comes clean so Jay and the guys at Valhalla can clean up the mess and arrest the bad guys. Natasha and Jay work out the dynamics of their relationship and Natasha relaxes a bit and loses her defensiveness as she becomes more confident in herself and her relationship with Jay. This is a short novel, but the characters are well developed as most characters have been in prior books in the series.

Up until now we've only known Jay as the Valhalla tech guy and only the very basics. Of all the Doms and Daddys at The Citadel, which Jay owns by the way, he is the most immersed in the lifestyle. He lives "the lifestyle" in his daily life. He's always the one in control. Natasha Melton is Grand Ridge's only event planner therefore she's a busy woman. She finds herself on Jay's radar when she starts having computer problems and when she shows up at The Citadel without the proper clearances not once but twice. Oops! Tasha is under no illusion that this gorgeous man would ever want her. Boy did she get that one wrong. She ticks every one of his boxes. But, he let's her know that he's definitely the one in charge should she say yes to being his. There will be no going back.

In the meantime, Jay along with an DHS/CISA agent work to track down hackers who holding all the small businesses hostage with ransomware that's been installed on their systems. The trail seems to lead to a local politician. His admin Sally, is good friend as well as a cousin by marriage of Tasha's. The two attempt to surreptitiously eavesdrop on a clandestine meeting only to be discovered and almost shot. Needless to say Tasha and Sally are in very hot water with their Doms.

I really enjoyed the book. The overall plot and premise of the book was good and I enjoyed the third person aspect but while also seeing from both main characters point of view , giving us a look into the world from both perspectives , I also love our strong full bodied (pun intended) main female character as I myself am a luxury size , its awesome to see someone like me represented in a beautifully written relationship exploring BDSM and the dynamics that surround it . I did feel the ending fell a little flat for me . I felt the plot points and twists were built up, but didn’t lead to anything. The ending I felt was rushed and didn’t give the readers the satisfactory ending we were waiting for. Overall, I thought it was a great idea for a book, but just fell flat in places that could have so much potential to be a great plot twist. I finished the book wanting MORE , more of the characters and to see what became of the wonderful relationship they were building and MORE from what happened in the big twist that we built up too drawing these characters together in the first place . But it was a beautifully written book and i enjoyed every minute of it .

This is the latest book in RJ Grey’s Veterans of Valhalla series, and it’s about computer geek, BDSM club owner, and Navy SEAL,Jay. It’s also about plus size event planner, Natasha.
Natasha has been having computer issues, and Jay has been looking into them. When he notices her computer acting up, he suspects that it’s been hacked. But why hack a small town event planner? Jay is attracted to the svelte, non-stop talking, Natasha, but she doesn’t think he’d ever be attracted to her.
One night, Jay is giving a class at the club. As he looks out in the audience, he spies Natasha. She’s not a member so she shouldn’t be there. Sam and Dee brought her, which was against the rules. She ends up sneaking in again since she needs to check out the layout for an event. She is supposed to take a class first, but the class isn’t for a while. She finds out why Jay is the Master of Masters.
Another business has their computer hacked, and Jay figures out why. The small town is about to be held hostage. I’ve been looking forward to Jay’s book, and I really enjoyed it. I love the fact that RJ used a plus size heroine, especially one who loved herself.

I enjoyed this book, however it felt like the ending was rushed. Let me explain

Natalie is new to the BDSM scene, in that the only things she knows about it is stuff she looked up after getting hired to plan a collaring ceremony.

Jay is the owner of the local BDSM club, The Citadel. He's also a Dom. He makes it clear that if Natalie agrees to be his sub, she is his and he owns everything about her.

There is a mystery where several of the local stores have been hacked and shut down. Natalie's computer got hit first, so Jay works on it and finds the issue. The next day, her neighboring shopkeeper had the same issue. Jay investigated that and found the plot for the ransomware, too late to stop it. Who did it and why?

I get this wasn't like a romantic suspense, but I feel like you could have taken out this subplot and concentrated more on the relationship and nothing would have been lost. To such an extent, that the resolution of the mystery seemed rushed and just barely mentioned at the end.

Overall, I did enjoy the book. I wish it was longer with the mystery fleshed out more. It's still a good book and I'll probably read the entire series again.

This is the latest chapter in the Veterans of Valhalla series. I found this chapter mellow compared to the others, nothing wrong with that. I just thought it was very smooth, the building of their unlikely relationship, but once that started, it was spunky. That's mostly due to Natasha I think. She jumps to conclusion on just about every topic and doesn't give a chance for Jay to talk or respond as he wants to. It's wonderful to read about a relationship where one partner takes over the caring of the other person, and I guess that what these types of relationships are about. I loved reading about it, it was just hard for Natasha to recognize as she has not had this kind of commitment before. Loved the jewel description and his thoughts on driving tired, that really hit home by what type of relationship that is about to come to fruition. Highly recommend.

Jaymison is part of Valhalla & a computer geek by day, and a Master of Masters at the Citadel (and owner) by night. Natasha is the local event planner, but her life takes a new direction when her system crashes, and a friend gets Jay to help her out. It's not until they come face to face again after an attack of small businesses that they really notice the sparks flying, but he has certain tastes that aren't a negotiation so their personal journey is a bit bumpy. The twists are coming in hot with the suspense being off the charts which is always my favorite part of the books I read, but I have to say that Natasha makes things more complicated when it comes to building anything with Jay as it didn't leave them much time after all had calmed down but that's just me. And now it's your turn to experience everything for yourselves by hitting those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the sixth book in this phenomenal series and is Jay and Natasha’s journey. Natasha is Grand Ridges’ event planner, and when her computer crashes her cousin calls in a favour, and Jay comes to her rescue. The sparks fly between Jay and Natasha. Jay is a cyber security expert, and computer geek, and by night he is the owner of an elite BDSM club, which most of the guys are members off. Jay quickly picks up that there is something sinister going on with everyone’s computers. Natasha has met her match with Jay, and they challenge each other, and their chemistry is combustible and undeniable. This is a great addition to this series and has undeniable chemistry, emotions, danger, suspense, emotions, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Natasha has an event planning business in Grand Ridge.

Natasha is friends with Dee, Samantha, and Mia. She was having computer problems , so Dee asked Jaymison a favor to help Natasha with the computer problems.

Their is a definite attraction and vibes between them.

Natasha goes to The Citadel to learn about it for a client that is having their wedding
Their. She goes there with her friends without the required membership.

A friends to lovers relationship develops between them, besides the criminal activities
targeting small businesses in the town of Grand Ridge.

Great book love the way beauty from within and appearance are stressed in this book.

This book is action packed, has romance, emotions and feelings.

This is the 6th book in the Veterans of Valhalla series and same as previous ones, it can be read as a stand-alone. This is the story of Natasha, the event planner in Grand Ridge, who was having computer issues, and Jay, the owner of The Citadel, the exclusive BDSM club in Grand Ridge, who is called to help with the computer. He is intrigued with her from the moment he meets her, but the story gets spicier when she sneaks into his club.
The story has great chemistry between Jay and Natasha, but she is vanilla and he is into kink. They start a relationship which is not something he would usually do within the lifestyle, so there are challenges.
I loved Jay and Natasha's story and how well they got on together and how well Jay took control of Natasha and taught her how to let herself go and enjoy a lifestyle she knew nothing about before Jay opened her up to it.

This story was another one that intrigued me from a social media blurb. Natasha is a successful businesswoman and quintessential small town girl. When she begins experiencing trouble with her business, she calls Jay to help. There is a lot to like about Jay, and much more to like once we discover a bit more about him. As they work together to figure out what's going on in their small town, the chemistry begins to grow to combustible levels between them.

This is another story that really pulls you into its world and gives you sturdy characters to hold onto. Although I got to meet many of the characters in this book, the story left me craving to know more about them all so that I could feel like I was actually a part of their world. This story will definitely give you all of the things you're looking for: romance, spice, action, and more.

Thank you friends....

Live Wire is the sixth book in the Veterans of Valhalla series. I have have only read one previous book in this series, and by this author, and had liked it. So I was interested in picking up the next in the series and hoped I would enjoy it also.....which I did. The story was engaging, had a nice balance of exciting action on all fronts. I liked the characters of Natasha and Jaymison, she is an event planner and he is a computer expert and owner of The Citadel. It is a friends of Natasha's who brings these two together, not knowing just how much sizzling attraction would spark between them. They start as friends which develops into lovers and then a whole lot more.

Opposites Attract!

Natasha is an event planner, who overworks, and has a computer problem. Jay is good with computers, and offers to help. He lives/works in Valhalla, and owns the club The Citadel.

When Natasha enters the club without following the rules, totally on her friends, Jay is upset but intrigued - is she interested in the lifestyle? When she knowly breaks the rules again, he takes matters into his own hands.

Also there is more to her computer issues…. A great mix of danger, intrigue and romance in this entertaining story.

Jay and Natasha are a very interesting couple. He is the owner of The Citadel BDSM club and she knows nothing about the lifestyle. I like the way the author portrays Natasha and her feelings about her weight. It is nice to see a character who isn't hung up on her body image. Jay is a bit demanding for me. He was good about consent, but otherwise expected this total newbie to blindly follow his every command. Natasha seems to be ok with that though, so I guess this is a good match for them. I absolutely love all of the other books in the Valhalla series, so although this is a standalone, you should definitely read them all to get a feel for the setting and the other characters.

Adore this series! Every new addition becomes my favorite book, but this one topped them all. I loved that Natasha was a full figured character and found her match in Jay who not only accepted her as is but didn’t see any reason why she would be concerned! The story moved quickly but centered more on the growth of their relationship which is one of my favorite aspects of this author’s writing style. I think I melted when Jay went all Master on Natasha. My only complaint is that the book ended before I was ready to let the characters go - I need what comes next in the series!

This is the 6th book in the Veterans of Valhalla series and can be read as a standalone. This is Jay and Natasha’s story. They meet when she has trouble with her computer. He is a computer geek by day, and Master of Masters- the owner of The Citadel, an elite BDSM Club by night. She is an events coordinator! Reading how he introduces her to his lifestyle was beautifully written. Now add in ransomware thieves, bit of suspense and you have a very good story!.
