REVENGE

Rate this book
A story of revenge that describes what can happen when the best of intentions of some mature ex-armed forces people, with deadly experience, impacts on organised crime gangs, already involved in a turf war in Greater Manchester. The plot is punchy and told at a fast pace. Strong and gritty language is used throughout. It is not for the faint hearted.

Never underestimate the power of revenge!

This all started with one man saving another from a protection racket. It escalated to all out war. Everyone learned to never underestimate the power of the old to exact revenge!

A universal subject treated through an exceptional plot.

Perkins weaved a complex yet logical plot using attaching anti-heros, honorable under dogs who are however highly qualified. Only the politicians are despicable, as they should.
It's action packed and keeps you glued to the pages all the way to the end, where it allows the reader to catch the breath he didn't know he was holding.
Read it, it's all for a good cause: cleaning up Manchester of the gangs.
Thanks for the ride, Moz.

Having read Maurice’s 3 books about his life I was looking forward to this book. Moz writes in a style that just keeps the reader wanting more. A word that keeps coming up from his background and which is evident in his writing is “gritty,” and this book certainly has that.
There’s a difference between writing nonfiction and fiction but Maurice has made that transition look very easy.
I’m looking forward to more from him. Great book.

An enjoyable read, fast paced, intriguing and filled with interesting characters. An action pack plot, with lots of twists, turns and conspiracies that delivered a clear message not to judge by appearances. No one comes out smelling of roses for sure.

The story heats up very quickly and keeps going at a rapid pace until the final conclusion. Well written and researched, Moz gives you an insight into the Manchester gang culture. The action contains much violence, as you would expect. The outcome is the big surprise.

Definitely a gritty story about gang wars and the author didn't mislead us in the description. What struck me about this book is the brilliant writing style. It is engaging and even though we're dealing with organised crime and violence, the author does make it humorous too. I could easily see this as a movie to be honest, it has the whole Guy Ritchie thing going on. Some very shady characters yet likeable.
It is fast paced, believable and exciting to read. I'd love it to be something more than a book because I feel it has got what it takes.
Great book Moz.
