"If he gives you everything you need, then why are you here?"

Trinket has everything he wants, and it’s not enough.

Perfect boyfriend, Siebold AKA ‘Zee,’ adores him. It took years of mutual pining to confess their feelings, and Trinket should be elated to finally have what he wanted — but the night of their confession went horribly wrong. Two years later their relationship has yet to recover. Zee has the love, the money, the unending patience, but it isn’t enough. Trinket is still insecure in bed — even afraid. Despite his best efforts, Zee can do no right.

Tattoo artist Mini can do no wrong. From the minute he and Trinket met — when Trinket tried in vain to mend his relationship with a two-year anniversary tattoo — no taboo has been off the table.

Trinket didn’t mean to cheat.

But he also doesn’t mean to stop, or to leave his boyfriend. For the first time in his life, he plans to get everything he needs, or lose it all trying. Everything will change — not just for himself, but for the two men he can't possibly choose between.

The Taste of Ink is book one in a high heat, slow burn MMM trilogy with a happy ending. This trilogy was originally published as a series of seven books:
A Taste of Ink, Lost in the Linework, A Guilty Canvas, A Stanza on Skin, A Darker Palette, The Color of Need, and a Final Stroke. The Taste of Ink contains content from the first three books. It has been lightly revised, with a few small changes and an extended ending in the third book.

EDIT 2023/09: Well, some incongruities about the plot make more sense when you know this is a case of filling off the serial numbers 🤔
---
EDIT 2023/02: Actually, you know what, I hated the conclusion of this trilogy. Every time I see this glowing 5 stars review on my profile, it makes me feel weird and dishonest. So there it is. Almost a year after reading those books, thinking about how it all ends still fills me with dread and unease. Some of my friends have banned those books from conversations with me, because I could spiral for hours. At least once a week, I get flashbacks of Trinket in a corner wearing lingerie while being ignored. I have nightmares about being stuck in a taxi between Zee and Mini. I think Daniel May writes excellent erotica, which is why book 1 and the first half of book 2 worked so well for me. But clearly the "romance" in this traumatized me way more than any of his mindbreak, horror stuff.
---

Yes, this is a book about cheating as the main plotline. I don't like cheating in romance, but listen, Daniel May makes it acceptable, somehow. I think it works because it's not just a book that features cheating but is a book that's entirely about cheating. It's not used as a plot device just to create conflict, cheating is literally the main kink. I didn't know it could be a kink, but turns out it is, and it's even a fantastic theme in dirty talk.

Daniel May creates this kind of alternate universe where cheating is something that can really help someone grows as an individual and as a partner for their SO. I know, I know, but hear me out: It's a little like reading mafia romance or dubcon stuff. It's something you don't condone IRL, but as a fantasy, you can go with it. And with good writing, you can reframe some moral parameters and enjoys the narrative opportunities this fantasy offers. Here, the cheating storyline offered a lot of things I liked: sneaking around, sexual tension, high stakes, kink exploration... And did I mention the dirty talk yet? But it also moves the story forward and allows some nice character exploration for Trinket, the main character and the only POV.

Trinket and Zee have some relationship problems, the root of which are not obvious from the beginning but will slowly be explored in the rest of the series. What's obvious is that those problems manifest themselves with communication and trust issues in the relationship. Trinket has some strong submissive fantasies that he feels he can't fully explore with Zee. With Mini, he can let go of his shame, and the things he learns with Mini help Trinket be more confident, and yes, weirdly, a better boyfriend. The cheating is never about Trinket falling out of love with Zee. It's about Trinket figuring himself out, learning about boundaries, trust, power, and ownership. Trinket and Zee are completely devoted to each other, but seem to be only able to be truly vulnerable and open with each other by exploring the kinks and fantasies Trinket brings home after meeting up with Mini. Of course, this creates an interesting dynamics between Trinket and Zee, but honestly, it mostly makes up such FUN scenes with Trinket/Mini. I loved Mini, his dirty mouth and his over-the-top bratty Dom/"teacher" antics.

Trinket is also an incredible character and I found myself weirdly defending his sneaking around and being anxious it was threatened! He is at once very aware of his actions and decisive in his cheating while still being devoted to his BF, which makes him likable and redeemable. Yet, he barely experiences guilt about it, which IMO helps lighten the overall tone of the book, so the cheating doesn't feel heavy or angsty at all.

On the contrary, this book is SO fun. Some passages are hilarious, but most of it is at least amusing, and that's all thanks to Daniel May's writing. Some of the cheating stuff is straight-up wrong (the triple challenge, oh god), but so entertaining. I read this in one sitting, which I don't usually do with books that have so many sex scenes, but this wasn't boring or repetitive at all. The sex scenes were hot, and the DIRTY TALK. Jesus. I think it's the best, most elaborate, creative, filthy dirty talk I've ever read. The kinks mainly revolve around D/s and humiliation, but in such a sweet way, and the praise was just *chef's kiss*. And mostly, the sex scenes and all the kinky content serve the story and the characters well.

I received a free copy of this book and am providing my honest review voluntarily.

4 “can’t stop lapping this shit up” stars

“I’ll dick you down so good you’ll forget his name. You’ll forget your own name.”
“That’s why I need you to tattoo his name on me”, said Trinket, without thinking, without planning. That way you can fuck me so hard I forget, and I have something I can double check before I go home to him.”

Do not. Let me repeat. Do not read this shit if cheating is a trigger. Because this is one long assed descent into unmitigated, unapologetic, smutty, hot AF cheating. Is it messed up? Totally. Like a train wreck you can’t take your eyes off. But it’s compelling in the very best way. And let me take a moment to praise the great writing and pacing.

Trinket, an academic, is in a loving if predictable, vanilla relationship with Zee, a perfect boyfriend and exacting architect. Trinket decides to get a tattoo for him. Enter Mini, a grungy tattoo artist who pushes Trinket’s buttons in all the wrong and right ways. He’s rude, crude, flirty, and taps into his deepest sexual fantasies. As Trinket keeps returning to Mini for more tattoos, his sex life with Zee gets decidedly kinky, but he also becomes addicted to Mini’s touch. Pretty soon Mini is living a double life where he’s still very much in love with Zee, but also can’t get enough of Mini.

With no expectations and very little idea on what this book was about having not read its previous incarnation, The Taste of Ink is an experience and is truly something else. It will definitely not be for everyone. It contains a good number of things that might be a hard no for some including cheating, BDSM - communicated or otherwise, and non con.

This is a well-written book that has some really interesting, complex and flawed characters. The story is sexy and erotic and it sinks its claws on you and never lets go. It is also an exploration on sexual desires and trust and how difficult it is at times to truly know what one needs and wants and how complicated it can get to express and communicate those out.

Zee and Trinket's relationship at first seem to be this perfect picture of a loving couple. There is no doubt that the two of them love each other but throughout the story we get to see the flaws in their relationship - the lack of true communication, trust and boundaries. Trinket's relationship with Mini was the catalyst that slowly woke Trinket and had him start to figure himself out. Whenever Trinket and Mini had sex, most of the time I find that it felt like a therapy session for Trinket - he gets to air out his concern and freely talks about them while Mini's perspective seem to encourage Trinket to confront the issues he have instead of keeping them all bottled up inside.

I am really intrigued on how everything will be resolved and how each decision made will affect the characters further on.

Overall, I recommend giving this book a try if one is not averse to the subject matters it tackles.

This would be a 4.25 stars out of 5 stars for me.

I received an ARC of this book via GRR and I have chosen to publish my fair and honest review.

Well this was something indeed

Not gonna lie, this book will not be for everyone. It does have cheating, non con, bdsm with no communication, and a main MC who literally seems TSTL. But I was sucked in regardless of all that.

Trinket apparently has never watched porn in his life and sort of had his virginity taken, not given. He is supposedly employed and knows things but I am doubtful how successful he is. He is also a sub at heart.

Zee was not likable at all, at least to me. He was not honest from the start with Trinket and also seems to be a sub.

Mini is a tattooist who Trinket meets when he walks in to get a tattoo. Mini was able to get some sexytimes with Trinket on first meeting while doing the tattoo. He is also dominant as heck.

All three are in a relationship even if two of them are cheating. Trinket does not get consent when involving Zee which was not good and then suddenly bdsm.

With all that said, I should've stopped reading and walked away but I couldn't. I freaking loved Mini. He was the reason I kept going. I would have loved more interactions outside of sex and dinners for all three characters.

I know that this was a merge of previously published works but the editing was smooth and I was never taken out of reading because of a too abrupt chapter change, which happens sometimes.

A Taste of Ink explores sex, trust, vulnerability, power, and submission; how complicated they are; how easy it is to lose hold of them; how difficult it is to put them into words, or understand them and how they affect your relationships with others, or how you want them to. This book inspired a lot of complex thoughts and I’m going to use this space to talk about them, but as far as an actual review goes, all I can say is that no matter how you feel about the blurb, you should read this book, because it won’t be what you expect.

This is a different kind of erotic fantasy than most. Unlike most erotica (and romance), which relies to a lesser or greater extent on mind reading, none of these characters are reading each other’s minds. Here, we see not only that mindreading is impossible – among other reasons, because it assumes that a person’s desires are both simple and concrete enough to be known at all times to oneself as well as one’s partner – but also that it’s dangerous and makes sex more complicated instead of less. Zee tells Trinket at one point that he thought their sex life would be easier, that he’d be able to read Trinket’s mind in the bedroom because he can so easily discern Trinket’s desires elsewhere, but the reality is like a staircase with no guardrails. Their desires are always changing, moving towards a destination they can’t see, with nothing to guide them there or keep them safe from their missteps. So often erotica and romance depend on the idea that our feelings around sex and love are simple, easily understood, and built up once, at the beginning of the relationship, and then immovable if the foundation is built solidly enough. Zee alludes to that when he expresses dismay that he can design a house more easily than he can understand his boyfriend. Trinket and Zee’s relationship is not built on a solid foundation, which in most stories would mean it can’t survive, but here we’re going to see if that’s really true.

Even Mini, who often seems like he’s reading Trinket’s mind, actually isn’t; it’s just that he doesn’t care about appearing vulnerable, wrong, or stupid (all things Trinket repeatedly worries about), or being rejected. He has the luxury not to, because their relationship has no goal other than sex. It would be wrong to say he feels no attachment to Trinket as things progress, but he’s not worried about losing Trinket’s interest. Maybe this is because he has a better understanding of boundaries than the other two characters, he knows his own limits, and he requires his partner to know his own before they can go anywhere dangerous.

This book also plays with typical notions of domination and submission. Trinket wants to submit to both Mini and Zee, but his feelings around it are complicated. His love for Zee, his fears about how their relationship started, and his uncertainty about their future all make submission more complicated than it is with Mini. He doesn’t trust Zee enough to give him all the power, because he’s not certain what Zee will do with it. As Mini explains to him, what he’s creating for Zee (and for Mini) is an illusion that they own him, when his real owner is himself. Trinket seems to want (or need) to explicitly remind Zee of this illusion but feels no need to do with Mini, perhaps because unlike with Zee, it’s the only aspect of his relationship with Mini that feels illusory.

As far as the cheating goes: You should hate Trinket for it, but you don’t. You see immediately that he isn’t going to figure himself out without it, and that seems much more important than whether his relationship with Zee survives. While you see the love between them, you also see how much is missing, how vulnerability and trust don’t really exist in that relationship yet, and how Trinket’s feelings about Zee and the start of their relationship are more complex than he’s grappled with. You also see that Trinket thinks he’s doing this to make his relationship better, and maybe he is. Crucially, you don’t know Zee very well at this point in the story – certainly not well enough to know whether to be indignant on his behalf. You barely even know what he looks like. Perhaps the reader knows Zee’s heart maybe only as well as Trinket himself does, and that’s reason enough to understand Trinket’s decision to cheat, if not to forgive him for it.

I know roughly where this story ends up, but I don’t know how it’s going to get there. I can’t wait to find out.

My lord this book is like a 5-alarm fire of hotness *fans self* – Long hair. Tattoos. Kink. It’s a queer m|m|m romance that uses explicit sex to help define the characters and tell the story of Trinket, Zee and Mini. Their chemistry is off the charts. Trinket’s growth and discovery of his tastes is such a slow burn you don’t even realize it’s happening until it does. The writing is so so good. 😍 I am completely hooked and starting Book 2 immediately. This completely burned out my histrom book hangover!

CW: cheating, dub-con

This book was a lot. A lot of sex. Phew! 🥵 And tattoos.

I really liked how the MC, Trinket, really started to develop and question things as the book progressed. And I’m fairly annoyed that it just kind of ends right at what I feel is a crucial part. Now I’ll have to buy the next book ASAP!

Despite some dub-con at the beginning, I really like how direct Mini is about consent. There were times that Trinket didn’t want to think too much about what he was doing, but Mini forced him to talk about it, to fully understand and consent to what was happening (with cheating, with specific sex acts, etc).

I also liked that Mini was constantly telling Trinket to tell him what he wants. I think that allowed Trinket to more fully understand what he wants and to maybe question things in his relationship.

Also, now I want more tattoos…

Whoa boy. How can I describe this? It’s fascinating, excruciatingly hot, disturbing, strangely sweet… This erotic story of Trinket cheating with his tattoo artist Mini, while simultaneously exploring BDSM with his long term boyfriend Zee, should feel wrong but feels so so right.

It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted but I lapped it up, as evidenced by the fact I ripped through it in 24 hours.

I fell in love with the cover of the original edition, then the writing style. I still don't know what draws me into this book. It's like a train wreck, I can't look away and have to keep reading.
So, this is one of the best kinky stories I have ever read. Be warned, it really is absolutely kinky, starts slow and easy and gets kinkier, goes beyond my preferences, but still I have to keep reading. I seem to be addicted, crap!!!
a little warning:
The cheating, which apparently makes many readers hesitate or, who simply do not like the book because of it. I'm desperately trying to remember if I've ever read anything like this and I just can't find an example. I'm not usually a fan of cheating in stories either. But, it was very refreshing for me that the feeling of guilt is completely absent. I think that cheating doesn't always have to be burdened with guilt. I think it is wrong to regret every step that hurts others but is so important and right for oneself.
That' s that. When Trinket does feel guilty at some point, well, it's quite interesting how he deals with it. I for one am very happy with it. After the original third part of the series, I have to admit that maybe Zee doesn't deserve it any other way. Trinket is so wonderful, just because he indulges in his taste for pain, you still have to treat him tenderly. Mini is so much better for him in that matter.
Well, as for the sex scenes ... without words 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

While addictive at the start, it becomes too wash/repeat with a tiny thread of plot. 95% sex with the same 2 guys gets boring fast.

Sex-fest, laden with justifying cheating. The cheating wasn't an issue for me, since I saw the direction the author was headed, as well as the reasons beneath. Also figured out the "twist" immediately as to lessen the cheating sting.

Trinket.

Couldn't stand him enough to read 7 installments, nearly a 1000 pages of his mental gymnastics to justify cheating on Zee.

Trinket would rewrite history to push away his guilt, culpability, and responsibility in his own actions, as if he was the victim.

If Trink didn't pull that BS in his own head, I could have read every word.

I read the reviews of the latter books. Trink gets worse, blaming Zee for not being a mind-reader of his virgin status, being angry at Zee for his rough possessiveness which Trink not only begged for but wanted.

Idk, dude. Trink isn't mute, screaming & begging. Zee isn't clairvoyant or deaf.

If Trink had owned up to his actions... but I cannot stand the toddler emotional maturity, where Trink deflected blame to avoid his own failings.

Trink is a cheating PoS, no matter how you wrap it. He comes off as infantile, which makes it all the more creepy. Spoiled. Lazy. Pampered. Treated like a prince. Pathetic & whiny.

Insecure characters resonate with me, Trink wasn't insecure- he knew what he was doing.

Trink is the one who brought nothing to the relationship, stepped out, then blamed the patience-of-a-saint Zee.

Sorry. Not sorry. HEA would be Trink taking ownership, not Zee kissing his arse yet again.

Marvelous read! It was stimulating to no end.
Finally a read with cheating, yes cheating! I love to feel excited, I love the cheating, for good reasons I simply should hate it. But no I don’t, and reading about it, I didn’t!
The story is all about the cheating itself, it’s not just an aspect of the story, no it is the main here!

The author built an amazing intense scenery. It was mesmerizing how shy Trinket explored his sexual boundaries with his dirty-mouthed, sexually experienced, tattoo artist, all behind his man’s back. But using it for the best purpose… his relationship with Zee.

“I think you’re going to make me bleed,” whimpered Trinket. “Don’t stop.”

They have a great relationship, love each other deeply, and have a vivid sexual love life, Trinket knows Zee is holding back, wants to be rougher, but doesn’t. Trinket let Zee know what he really wants from him.
At some point I wanted more progress, it was hanging, still awesome, but I wanted something to change, a breakthrough. The anticipation was killing! And thank you lord, there was a breakthrough!

“I’ll never get over how crazy fuckable you are,”

So imagine, Mini as the mentor teaching Trinket sexually and Trinket can teach and show Zee.
It goes way deeper than I can describe here. It’s about knowing and purposely doing things.
The details are super intense, not just wham bam thank you ma’am, nooo, it’s so much more.
Mini’s mouth is something to mention, because wow, his good with action, but how he articulates all the delicious dirty things, it’s an art!

This has to be some of the best smut I've read in a hot minute. It won't be for everyone, because it's hardcore infidelity from the get-go, but I really, really liked it. Trinket, our protagonist, is a shy, self-conscious academic in a solid long-term relationship with Zee, a high-flying architect who dotes on him. But one day he wanders into a seedy tattoo parlour and his world gets up-ended by Mini, the half-charming/half-sleazy tattoo artist that he embarks on an extremely steamy affair with. The consequence of this affair is that Trinket and Zee expand their sex lives into something torrid and electric. Trinket has been harbouring all these unacknowledged kinks that Mini is fishing out and sending home to Zee. It is delicious. I also really enjoy the fact that Zee is lovely, he did nothing to deserve Trinket's behaviour. Sooooo many cheating books I've read try and soften the betrayal by making the significant other somehow a terrible person, deserving of bad things that happen to them. But Trinket is out of control for no good reason, and it was so fucking hot. Definitely in it for the rest of this series.

If you are a fan of rough, hard-core smut, this one's for you.

Not gonna lie, this book tested my patience. To be more precise, the MC (Trinket) tested my patience. Jesus Christ, I didn't like him. At all. In more than half of the book, he was trying to justify his cheating (which I don't mind in the books, really makes the story interesting) by blaming his boyfriend Zee. If you're so unsatisfied baby, leave him then. But no, that wasn't even an option!

Zee and Mini were o-kay I guess, both fucked up in their own ways. They are not innocent but are more bearable.

I don't know what will happen next but I think I will continue this series to see how far Trinket will go with all this.

I love when authors make a liar out of me. Infidelity has always been one of my hard limits. I never understand why someone cheats instead of consensually opening up or leaving the relationship, nor can I ever root for it. But there’s another part of me that is always willing to give authors a chance to make me love a trope or element I normally hate. When Kathleen raved about this, I was intrigued despite my reservations. There’s no sugar coating Trinket’s choice to cheat on his boyfriend. Knowing this will end up as a polyamorous triad made me think it was worth a go and I’m glad I did. Trinket, Mini, and Zee made for one unputdownable, incendiary read.

This is hot hot hot. I was surprised by how very into it I was from the start. If I had a boyfriend right now, I would definitely be asking them to pick out my next tattoo, that’s all I’m saying. Although, to be clear, I would not make the same choices with my tattoo artist as Trinket. Knowing the trilogy is about the evolution from infidelity to committed triad helped me enjoy the ride. I was fascinated by how Trinket rationalized his actions. There is a part of him that really believes he’s doing this on Zee’s behalf and to a degree this is true. Cheating with Mini improves his sex life with Zee. He learns how to be more honest about what he does or doesn’t want. It also helps him start to make sense of his first time with Zee, which was traumatic—Zee was drunk and rough and it happened out of nowhere. Not only was it their first time having sex, it was Trinket’s first time having sex at all, which he did not disclose to Zee. They've never discussed what happened. They're terrible communicators! Trinket wouldn't cheat if all was well with his relationship with Zee; the toxicity under the surface needs to be dismantled. There’s an element of redeeming that bad first time and figuring out how to improve the sexual side of their relationship. And, of course, Mini is part of making that happen.

The characters are what makes this work. I genuinely liked each of them. I have a strong sense of who they are, in spite of knowing very few specifics about them. I know what makes them tick, what they desire and what they’re embarrassed about. Trinket is cheating on Zee, yes. He’s not necessarily in denial about that fact but he doesn’t think too hard about it either. He’s deeply in love with Zee but there’s something he’s getting from Mini that he also needs. And what he gets from Mini feeds his relationship with Zee, apart from the fact that Zee doesn’t know. (Or does he? I have to wonder what he knows or suspects.) Zee feels the most remote to me but that feels purposeful. There is something symbiotic happening between the three men and the tattoos and the secrecy and I couldn't get enough of it.

Mini is fascinating on every level and I’m looking forward to learning more about his life, especially the glimpse in that ending. He takes such good care of Trinket. He almost functions as a sex therapist, given all the education he provides on BDSM and advice about Zee. True, he is the one who started this all. There’s no denying he was completely unprofessional during that first tattoo and that he can be offensive. But gracious, I loved him anyway.

This was truly riveting. I don’t agree with Trinket’s decisions at all, especially I’m worried about what will happen when Zee finds out, for all of their sake. But I have a vested interest in all three getting their HEA. Trinket started this mess and now I just need it to work out. I don't know who I am anymore but Daniel May made me a believer, at least for this installment. Bring on book 2!

Major thanks to Kathleen for putting this on my radar and telling me to lean into my lizard brain. Excellent decision.

Update: I finished the trilogy and I LOVED IT. Highly recommended.

Characters: For as well as I feel I know these characters, we’re not given many specifics. Trinket is an academic with very long hair and a submissive. Zee is an architect and Dominant with touch-aversion. Mini is a tattoo artist and Dom with a tongue piercing. Trinket and Zee seem to be Asian. I would guess all three men are gay. It’s possible Zee could be read as demisexual. Zee and Trinket were friends for many years and have been together for two.

Content notes: infidelity (MMC cheats on other MMC with third MMC), dubious consent (including past bad first time), use of safeword (respected), body modification (multiple tattoos, other customers discuss piercings), unprotected sex, fantasy/discussion of consensual nonconsent, on page sex, D/s, masochism, degradation play, bondage, orgasm control, hair pulling, pain play, somnophilia, public sex, office sex, role play (pretend first time), choking, biting, lingerie, sex toy, edging, rimming, road head, car sex, mirror sex, sexting, phone sex, sex tape, fluid exchange, creampie, mutual masturbation, masturbation, alcohol, inebriation, hangover, cigarettes, marijuana references, STD stigma, gendered pejoratives, ableist language, reference to colleague donating a kidney

Listen, if someone had told me that I’d be here giving fours stars after having read and love a book with active cheating and a possible mmm ending. I would’ve called that person a liar and I would’ve blocked them immediately because I simply don’t do that. Cheating, and especially cheating to this extent is a Hard No for me, or at least usually because here I am. What a masterpiece this book was. Took me out of my reading slump like nobody’s business. I loved it, I enjoyed it. Looking forward to the other books in the series. I’m dying for the three of them to get together. This is so new for me, and I don’t imagine wanting this in the future. This is just the exception

This is a difficult book to rate and review as a standalone because it is very much one part of a series and does not have a complete narrative arc or any resolution or any satisfying ending. Instead what we get is a lot of (kinky) sex scenes, a lot of discussion and exploration around kink and consent, interesting characters, and a LOT of unanswered questions about which characters know what and what the consequences, if any, will be. Because as the author note very clearly states at the beginning of the book, this is a story about cheating.

From what I have gathered by reading just this first book, the cheating is used for character growth by Trinket, the POV character, to explore his boundaries and sexuality as his relationship with his long term boyfriend becomes increasingly kinkier. Using cheating for growth instead of for drama or angst or excessive guilt is a compelling use of a difficult subject by May.

As I said, this is difficult to rate and review not having read either of the other two books. I can say I am very invested in these characters and I want everyone to be redeemed and happy forever. I will be reading the next two books as soon as possible!

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own

Wait I wanna punch something right now. I've been forewarned, I've been aware. I knew exactly what to expect. But I still decided to suffer reading through all of this cheating shit. I was in pain the entire time. And angry and feeling stupid. I hate it. Ah no, I hate myself for subjecting myself to this torture ugh. Curiosity really did kill the cat this time. But I'm in too deep now (no pun intended) and I'm dying to know how they're going to go from here to becoming a throuple. Will they really?

My gosh just thinking about Trinket makes me want to throttle him for cheating but I won't cos he'd probably be entirely unbothered by that. The author really did a good job of making me angry. The writing style was really good, the scenes were played out so well. It's, just, that fucking cheating. Poor Zee.

Having said all that, I won't leave a rating. Obviously it's not the book, all of this is on me. I'm still seething.

Fuck my actual life.

This dripped sex of the very best kind.

It won't be to everyones tastes and I get that. But fuck me was it 100% to mine. Like seriously. This literally dripped sex from the start and I could not put this down. Please believe me when I say that this is possibly the hottest book I have read. It's descriptive beyond belief, unapologetically raw and truthful and keeps you gripped in the moment like nothing I've read before.

Just an FYI if you're thinking of reading this but cheating is a trigger for you then best you avoid this. It's one long gloriously hot road down the cheating highway that doesn't have a second of regret buried in there. However, if this doesn't bother you then I chuffing BEG you to give this a read. You cannot take your eyes away from this for a second.

Finished it in a day and I cannot wait to start book 2.

Obviously this is hot and sexy and a fantastic smutty read that I devoured 👌😌but for the love of god if you ever get a tattoo in real life do NOT under any circumstances take a fucking hot bath right after or clean your tattoo with soap for fuck's sake those are literally the two worst things (besides going to the solarium or exposing it to sun for hours on end) you could do to it right after it's freshly done and really any damn time before it heals up. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. 😇
