Spring Break is the time of your life. Why not make the most of it?
Anna Long Beach, California, was the last place I wanted to be on spring break. However, the majority rules, and now I can only hope to have a good time. At first, I'm doubtful, knowing that I'll probably end up babysitting my drunk friends while they all get laid... Then I meet Nick. Nick is charming, and handsome, and he makes me laugh. What's the best part? He's into me. Nevertheless ... this vacation is almost over, and this is just a fling ... Right?
Nick It wasn't my idea to come, but I agreed to be there for my best friend. It can't be that bad to spend a week in Long Beach, can it? While everyone around me is hooking up, I've decided to just sit back and enjoy the show. That is, until I see her. Anna is the first girl I've encountered who intrigues me at every turn. Initially, this was just supposed to be a one-night stand, but is there room for more?

A fling on a trip may turn into more than Nick or Anna bargained for.
From the start, I loved Anna's character. Just hearing her complain about the heat was enough to get me to relate to her, even in a small way. Nick was more of a rollercoaster. One minute I can't stand his character, the next I liked him. The two had great chemistry and for what was supposed to be a fling, you could already see a relationship forming.
Here's where I'm torn. Everything was so short. Just when you're getting into a scene, it's over. The entire story is very fast paced, but it's too fast. There was no time to get involved in the book, because by the time you're in, the next scene is going. The ending with Nick's reaction to Anna's choice also rubbed me the wrong way. He's been aggressive the entire book, but the ending just made him look like a bad.
Anna and Nick are both reluctantly dragged along on spring break vacation with their friends. Anna figures she will babysit her drunk friends. Nick is there for his best friend, intending to just watch the others get themselves into trouble. Neither Anna nor Nick have any ideas about finding someone for themselves. But life happens even without our cooperation.
As the vacation time ends, will they just walk away from their fling? Or do both of them feel that maybe they still want something more?
Reckless Temptation was an explosive short story. Anna and Nick are both on vacation with friends. Neither of them have the intention to hook up, but things don't go as planned. The story was engaging and I read it in one sitting as I really wanted to know what would happen. The chemistry between Anna and Nick is great, and there was enough action to keep me entertained. I also enjoyed the side characters - Anna and Nick's friends.
This is a short and sweet vaca romance that turns into more than either Anna or Nick were expecting. The author packs a ton in this fast paced story and delivers an entertaining read.
