Yeah...I tossed that optimistic drivel right into the trashcan. It was barely nine in the morning and I’d spilled coffee on my blouse, snagged my new silk stockings, and tangled with the Queen of the Harpies, otherwise known as my boss. If that weren’t bad enough, I’d officially turned thirty-five, was woefully single, and had a job as a lowly executive assistant with student loans up the wazoo for a marketing degree I didn’t use. No doubt about it, things blew. That was until the scorching-hot advertising legend, Draven Hall, one of the agency’s owners, invited me for dinner to discuss a proposal.
Could it be my epically rotten luck was ending after all? I sure hoped so. I didn’t want to be the poster girl for Losers Anonymous anymore.
What do you say when your hot as fuck boss has a proposal for you? Unfortunately, there are others who would stop her from trying to get to the meeting? Once there do you go for it or do you say no? Loved the complex of these characters.
