These are really cute patterns if you want to make a plant for all seasons. I’m particularly looking forward to trying to make the Coleus pattern- but there are so many options in this book! Truly something for everyone. The patterns look easy to follow with lots of pictures to guide you through as you go.
I’m so thankful my library has a great collection of craft books!
I loved this book. It was a little more complicated than indicated though, especially because there are only a couple diagrams in the book - mainly for leaves. I prefer having the written guide and the diagram. But I digress. I would recommend this book to mid to moderately experienced crochet levels. I would NOT recommend this book to beginners. Even the so-called simpler patterns were a little tough, and I've been crocheting for over 30 years. I will say that this book included several photos and that did help a lot. The author also uses floral wire to crochet behind the yarn. In all my years I've never done that... so that part was a little tough for me. Overall I give this book 5 stars because 1. The patterns are written pretty well. (Having written my own patterns I know that's hard.) 2. Pictures helped a lot. 3. There are explanations of the stitches used in the book. And 4. It is color coded and color matching is discussed. Though that might not matter to you, I'm very organizational and enjoyed how this book is organized. Be sure to pay attention to the back of the book where it shows the difficulty levels. She used little buds to represent difficulty. That wasn't my favorite part of the book but it worked OK. I bought a physical copy of this book to carry in my crochet bag so I can have it when I'm off electronics. Yay!
Some of the cutest kawaii crochet amigurumi patterns are now available all in one place - a good buy for any crocheter who loves quick, small makes. I love this book as much as I love the original Kawaii Crochet book. Bright, colourful, and cute, these patterns are easy to follow - although you will need more than crochet skills for some parts that include wire. Highly recommended!
As someone who cannot keep houseplants alive, I love that I can just stitch up my own little garden! These patterns are adorable, and there is a great variety of both easy and more challenging patterns, so you won’t get bored of just making the same boring shapes.
You will need a few additional supplies, like pipe cleaners, glue and craft wire to shape your plants. My only complaint about this book is that the text is SO SMALL.
