Pax Orion is the first human born on another planet. He has grown up in an extraterrestrial city founded by his powerful and wealthy father. Restless under the claustrophobic dome that shelters the colony from a never-ending sandstorm, an exciting new position allows Pax a behind the scenes look at the city. Within his first week a startling discovery suggests that his home city is not what it seems. His curiosity ultimately leads to revelations that propel him into the challenge of his life.
A good book--I know it's made for teens, but it kept my interest the entire time, also halfway through, there is a huge twist. Sadly it's not the stand alone book that I envisioned, so there's no resolution. Reading novels in a series is fine, but suddenly the brakes were screeching to a halt and it was over, and now I must wait for the next one.
This book was just what I was looking for. I really enjoy sci-fi stories set in space and this was a really good one. I had to force myself to put it down at night. Looking forward to book T.W.O. but it seems that may already be behind schedule. A pleasant surprise is that the Christian theme wasn't allegorical but an integral part of the story.
