Is it the same plotline every couple of chapters? Absolutely. Do I devour it every single time? Without a doubt.

An overpowered teenager attends a regular Korean high school after serving as a mercenary all his life and confronts his sister’s bullies. Sidenote: Has anyone seen those recent trending TikToks discussing what would happen if K-drama bullies tried their tactics in America? They would immediately start throwing hands. Well, if you want the webtoon version, here you go…

It’s well-written, and the artwork is top-notch—a solid 10/10. This webtoon is already super popular, and in my opinion, it deserves all the hype it gets. With over 150 episodes currently available and more to come, it features not only great action scenes but also cute, wholesome moments, such as Ijin trying to open the convenience store triangle kimbap. Additionally, the webtoon offers amazing character development. Of course, Ijin is my favorite, but I also really enjoyed the side characters, like the other students in Ijin’s class who later become good friends.

I finally caught up to the webtoon!

Originally when I started reading it, while I liked it, I dropped it somewhere in the 50 episodes because it felt repetitive. Then recently I wanted to read something action, with secrets/hidden past, and I revisited this and ending up binging the rest.

What makes it sooo good is the two-parted secret past Ijin has, where he is a Number but also spent 5 years as a Mercenary, and each of those pasta don’t know about the other, and each are catching up to his peaceful current life. So while it sometimes feels repetitive, it kinda never actually is— there’s always a new threat, or new info revealed to either Ijin or his acquaintances.

Can’t wait to keep reading each weekly episode.

I loved it when I was reading it,, I’m not up to date so I can’t speak for the whole WEBTOON but from what I remember it was super funny to read, I think it would make an amazing k-drama :))

The story follows a rinse-and-repeat format, but I like it.

This comic is the exact same plot over and over but it never stops being fun. I am ready for Ijin to open a can of whoop ass every time!!!
