Bianca Walker is a woman who means business. For as long as she could remember, it was instilled in her that she would work at the family bank. Her mind is set on making her father proud while her heart yearns for her true passion, causing an internal battle of what to do inside of Bianca.
Matthew Greene has always dreamed of being a chef who owned his own restaurant. He is well on his way to his dreams coming true... all he needs are the funds. A trip to the bank doesn’t go as planned, but Matthew will do anything to get closer to his dream.
Bianca questions if she has the heart to do what no one in her family has ever done. Matthew has a plan to fix his money issue but soon regrets it when things take a drastic turn. Both Bianca and Matthew know what they need to do, but what happens when fear steps into play?
First of all, I wanted to bop Bianca's dad. He was so judgmental toward Matthew for no reason at all. I loved Matthew, he had a past but he didn't let that stop him from trying to live out his dreams. I hope we get stories on Bailey and Benjamin and get more of Bianca and Matthew.
Look uh here, Ms. Erika B came into 2022 swinging in the literary world and letting everyone she is here and very much relevant. I am admiring her growth through each book she releases. Matthew and Bianca's relationship had a few dips along the way but they managed to stay afloat. Her parents were the culprit of their problems. I will be the first to say that I was not a fan of them, especially the father. It's one thing to want your kids to be the successor of your family business. It's another to force them to work in the family business without acknowledging their dreams, aspirations, and visions. Mr. Walker was quite judgmental but his life wasn't exactly squeaky clean. The family maid did more than clean the house and cooked.
Bianca and Matthew made things shake even when the chips were down. I loved when Bianca affirmed Matthew after the first incident. She became his light before he knew anything about her. I also loved the determination and hustle they both had to reach their career goals. They were putting in the work, Bianca had earned all the education and licenses she needed to open her nail bar. Matthew was working under a manager with the nastiest attitude however they both were still pushing forward. Bianca still worked at the family bank even when she was unhappy about being there. Bianca and Matthew were made for each other. The relationship that Matthew had with his mother was immaculate. He did give her a few stress lines over the years but he turned his life around. The mere fact that Matthew's mother took in and raised Marc spoke volumes. She raised two gentlemen that rode hard for each other hence the bet. I liked the bet because it was going to be positive in Bianca's life. I had already thought the inevitable was going to happen regardless of the bet. Matthew and Bianca were destined for each other so falling in love was a given. The getaway portrayed Matthew's devotion to Bianca.
This book was 🔥. I do not know the plans of Ms. Erika B but two more siblings were in this book. I would love to read their stories. It would be interesting to know who each one connects with. All three of the siblings are so close. If you haven't indulged in an Erika B book, what are you waiting on? You will be entertained from cover to cover. Grab your copy of this one and just enjoy.
YAAASSS QUEEN ERIKA B!!! I cram believe it's #15, it seems like like I was just introduced to her work and look at her now. The growth that she's made in such a short time is commendable. This book right here, Whew Chil🤦🏾! I was clutching my imaginary pearls when all that tea was spilt😳👀😂😂😂. Mr. Walker, Mr. Walker with his judgmental, unprofessional, freaky a**. He was beyond selfish and couldn't see past his own wants to allow anyone else to live their lives on their terms like he was. He out there living his best freak nasty life, but want everybody else to be miserable asf🤔🙄😔. I couldn't stand his stuck up judgemental a**, but he was my kind freaky😏😜😂😂😂. Now I had a feeling Rosalie was more than the "Nanny", but Bay-be I was not ready for that freaky tea that was spilt😂😂😂. Marc was truly blessed to have been taken in by Mathews mom and granny. I honestly wanted more of his shenanigans and wouldn't mind hearing from him in the future🤞🏽 I freakin loved me some Matthew & Bianca💕. Fate most definitely brought them together, that bet just made him fast asf. All These two wanted was to secure the find and loan needed to start their businesses. Their journey to their HEA did not come without negativity, but they were both willing to fight for what felt fight inn their souls despite what the naysayers were saying. Matthew almost lost her with that crazy a** bet he made with Marc, but he fought to keep his woman. Although Mr. Walker was still being a mitch, ik it meant a lot to Bianca to have the support of the rest of her family. The was a beautiful ending💕 IT'S A MUST READ FOR ME🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nothing like an true love story. Sometimes you don’t need contrived drama for a great story - yet adding Bianca's bond with her siblings & revealing her parents secret bedroom dynamics made for interesting reading. I love the instant connection & spark between Bianca and Mathew at the bank during the first moment of them meeting. Before then, both knew what they wanted in life. True to herself Bianca didn’t let her father lack of approval break her spirit to become a business owner. I like the bond growing between she & Matthew even when the relationship took a small dip. The "bet" let you know Matthew fell in love quickly with Bianca ... he definitely wanted the best for her. I enjoyed everything about this book and the respect they both held for each others hustle was the cherry on top for me. Thank you for a great read👍🏾

Okay, we see you Erika! First, I have to say how much I despise Mr. Walker! How dare you look down on another black man, like you have never made mistakes in your life! Ughhh..... 😠 Then push your daughter into a career that she doesn't want, just to please you! He was trash! Anywho, I loved Matthew and Bianca! They were both headstrong about what they wanted in life, and would not let anything or anyone get in the way! I was hoping that bet wouldn't get in the way, but knew it would somehow. Just glad they were able to hash it out. Now, that Rosalie situation! Mannnnnn....... what??? 😂😂 Enjoyed this read! 👍👍👍
Love Comes When You Least Expect It! Erica great read! This love story was full of do as I say, not as I do. Bianca dad was so privileged. He looked down upon anyone that went against his grain. Boy, I knew he had some skeletons in his closet but I sure didn't expect that. Matthew was the man, in my opinion. He chose to humble himself time and time again until he got what he needed, watching Bianca learn to stand up for herself and see where her choices would lead her made me so proud of her. I'm so glad I read this story. Thank you for giving the family some shake ups. Great Read!🤗🤗🤗🤗
If I could give this 10 stars I would. Rosalie, Rosalie, all I can say is WOW. Rosalie is more than the housekeeper😉😉😉. I loved Matthew, he didn't let his past keep him down. Bianca was the baby of the family she wanted to make her own way, not go into the family business. Would love for Bailey, and Benjamin Walker to have their stories told. Mr Walker was a piece of work. Someone needed to take him down a peg or two. Fantastic story kudos to the author👏👏👏👏. This is a must read.
Ms Erika B. This was a beautiful love story. You showed us in this book not to judge people by their circumstances. So many times we are judge and juror. Thank you for sharing this message in your book. I most definitely would recommend this book. True love found Matthew and Bianca. My favorite part of the book was how well Matthew and Bianca could communicate with each other.
Bianca and Matthew's story was so sweet! I really enjoyed getting to know them and learning more about their love. I'm still on the fence about the rest of the Walker family and their shenanigans, but I enjoyed getting to know them as well. Another great book by this wonderfully talented author!
It was a very interesting story I did not see coming. Bianca was so cute and naive that it was charming. I was happy the was absolutely no violence involved and that there was great communication throughout the story. I would recommend this book to everyone, it was a good read.
Enjoyed reading this story. I loved how Bianca didn’t look down at Matthew even after learning bout his past. They both were there for each other. So glad everything worked out for them.
Loved it from beginning to end the chemistry between characters was amazing Matthew fall in love with Bianca was everything ❤ one of my favorite ❤her family was something else Bianca had a kind soul to me loved it loved 😍❤
Bianca was a spoiled little rich girl with dreams Matthew was from the wrong side of the tracks with a dream Bianca’s parents, particularly her dad, were snobs. Put all that together you have a disaster but Bianca and Matthew were not about to be played with!
Good story, despite Bianca being a big ole baby!! Matthew more than made up for every eye roll meant for Bianca. The Walkers were wild 😛 but still trying to be on some traditional ish!
Lord I love everything about this book. The threesome caught me off guard because I thought he'd be sleeping with Rosalie and she would've been Bianca's real mother.
