100 Wins In 100 Days: Supercharge Your Confidence In 30 Seconds Per Day

Written by Aziz Gazipura

Not perfect, but good.

This book is for winners and for those who want to embark on a journey to edify themselves by establishing a strong meta-frame that they can win. By choosing to go on this adventure, you need to say goodbye to your old self. There is no room for pessimism because all you do is win.

This text teaches you the importance of acknowledging your daily wins and why you should write them down in a journal. Whether you opt for a phone diary, or maybe notepad on your computer, it's completely up to you. But once you go all-in on this challenge, there is no turning back.

Do the challenge for 100 days. What are your daily wins? Mark down the date and what you did. I'll give you an example of one of mine. Yesterday, I worked outside all day in 20-degree weather. That was my daily win yesterday because I hate cold weather. But now, since I can't help but win, I do not mind the cold weather as much. How did you win today?

This book is full of golden nuggets, such as positivity vs. authenticity. You need to be real with yourself and set the rules for your daily wins. Did you win a bonus today? Did you stand up to your peers? Are you coming out of your shell by loving your family? This book goes over all of that, plus more.

I liked that the author was creative enough to take a risk and talk about Super Mario Bros., as well as mention some personal stories, like the one client who realized the folly of being afraid, when death is real and can grasp you when you least expect it. Think about the coins that you can get when you achieve victory, that is when you win. While you're reading this book, it's recommended that you at least try one of the mini-games. The one I did was five wins in one day, and I did write it down in my journal. Another mini-game I liked was "best day ever", where you think about the feelings you would want to experience if you could choose to do whatever you wanted for one day. I agree that you should continue this daily win game well past 100 days. It only takes less than a minute to figure out how you "won" daily, so I encourage you all to do so.

It was great to see the trophy illustration as it fits the theme well, and gives you a visual of what victory tastes like. This book is well-edited and well-formatted and I wanted other readers to know that it is. I would like to add that the author's challenge to be extraordinary, rather than ordinary, is a good one.

The vulgarity in this book felt out of place. While there was not much, it still was odd to see it in non-fiction. My advice for the author would be to stray away from this in the future. In addition, it was strange that this book was not around 100 pages long. In my opinion, it would have fit the theme and title of the book better. Once I got past 110 pages, I noticed that I started to lose interest in the book, which goes back to this book is too long.

An inspirational little book that urges you to write down a 'win' every day for 100 days. So what does Gazipura mean by a 'win'? He says:
One of the biggest obstacles to unlocking our wins is the idea of a legitimate, "real" win. The unconscious, often unexamined, thought process goes: if it's a real win, then I'll let myself feel great. What makes a real win varies based on your upbringing, culture, and your own values. But often these legitimized wins involve targets that are collectively agreed upon as valuable, and thus notable to others.

Such culturally legitimized wins include: money, career advances, losing weight, sporting goals, having children, educational milestones. That is, BIG wins. Gazipura suggests instead that you "unlock the infinite number of small wins that are readily available to you." Nothing wrong with a big win, but they don't tend to come along all that often. And sometimes even when they do, the winning feeling doesn't last or feels somehow flat.

I love Gazipura's friendly, conversational writing. He's not shy about using himself and his family as examples, which makes for some entertaining anecdotes. But underlying the easy reading, there's substance. Gazipura is a trained psychologist, not a purveyor of easy answers. Which is not to say that I think psychology has all the answers either. All I can say is - try writing down a win each day. I do, and it's making a difference. Thanks, Aziz!

Going to give this a shot. I like that this book actually has something you can really apply and actually makes a difference. So many books you read and there is no clear next step/action. This book is different and for that reason may be more valuable than most books I've read. Its actually trying to change your behavior. I already do tony robbins power questions daily so I'm just going to add this on every day and see what happens.
