the setup…
Dallas Walker has ended his career as an undercover cop and returned home to be near his siblings, staying with his sister Hannah. He’s still haunted by memories of what he had to witness while working to take down sex traffickers. Needing privacy, he buys a house adjacent to Hannah’s farm and is intrigued by his new neighbor, Maggie Ellis, who clearly isn’t interested in getting to know him. Maggie is a loner, haunted by her own tragedy, choosing to isolate herself from the world except those who she connects with to sell her pottery and eggs produced by her chickens. But Dallas is determined to breakthrough Maggie’s concrete walls, despite her resistance.

the heart of the story…
It was interesting to contrast how Dallas and Maggie handled their trauma and grief, he reaching out to family for connection and to create new memories and she choosing isolation and disconnection. I admired how Dallas hung in there, never giving up on Maggie because she desperately needed help. Her history was heartbreaking and she was helpless to find a way out of her all consuming grief. Her pottery making and chickens gave her respite but kept her in a holding pattern. I loved how their relationship developed and Dallas’ patience as he knew she was worth the work. Seeing Maggie slowly emerge was uplifting, especially as she began letting others in, including her own family.

the bottom line…
I found Dallas to be a wonderfully developed character and one of the more interesting of the Walker brothers. He has a big heart and is rather intuitive when it comes to reading people, which was essential in reaching Maggie. Frankly, I would have given up but once I learned her story and she began to open up, she was much more interesting and extremely resourceful. They were perfectly suited for each other, both providing solace to their wounded souls. This was a lovely story that delivered some wonderful surprises. I’m a big fan of this series because its emphasis on family always warms my heart and lifts my spirit.

Claudia Connor's characters are all about getting knocked down and getting up again. Maggie got knocked down, but she hasn't gotten back up. Seven years after the devastating loss of her husband and child she is still avoiding people and life. She says she is just fine; she doesn't need or want anyone in her life, especially her happily married sister, her kids and parents, but she's not. She wears her all-consuming grief like a martyr's mantle and damm the person who calls her on it.

Dallas is hurting in a totally different way. His career as an undercover DC cop came an abrupt end when he was shot in the line of duty. The horrors of his undercover work, getting shot and leaving the force haunt him. But, like he said, you might lose that place and have to find a new one. His new place is as a high school teacher, trying to find if this new place fits him.

Dallas is a patient man and even after Maggie told him rather bluntly that she didn't want to be friends, he quietly persisted, winning her over in small ways and with his hot, handsome self.

This book is for the "Ahhh, I love Romance reader". I'm a tad more cynical, but even I enjoyed it. After all there is more to life than the murder and mayhem books I usually read. I would have liked to see Maggie begin the journey back to being whole before she met Dallas, instead of him being the reason for her rediscovery of life. 3 1/2-Stars

Dallas Walker has recently returned after years away on assignment for the police. His siblings know he is a police officer but know nothing else about what he has been doing the last few years. His undercover work was intense and harrowing so getting out of the force and into a new career teaching is the change he needs.

Dallas has been living on Hannah and Stephen’s property, helping out with a long list of projects his sister needs doing. After taking time to adjust to his new life, he is ready for his own space and begins his house hunt. He soon finds what he is looking for and it backs onto his family's land so it feels like the right place to be.

Maggie moved to Virginia after suffering unimaginable loss. She needed to get away from everything and everyone. Starting life anew but heavily cloaked in sorrow. She finds solace in gardening and making pottery. She prefers to not make friends or talk to many of the townsfolk, the less people in her circle the better. Having someone move in next door to her is a bit unsettling, she values her privacy and doesn't want to make small talk with a stranger.

Dallas notices Maggie straight away but it’s hard work pulling any sort of conversation out of her. She definitely gives off ‘stay away from me’ vibes. However, he knows that with patience he will eventually get a wave out of her. She has the most incredible backyard and seems to grow a huge variety of fruit and vegetables. It gives him a bit of inspiration to begin clearing his own yard and Maggie ends up giving him a bit of help and advice.

It happens very slowly but eventually they form a friendship and enjoy each other’s company. Maggie didn’t realize how lonely she was and this new connection with Dallas begins to be the highlight of her day. Dallas loves spending time with Maggie and things begin to grow into something more between them. He knows she had most likely assumed she would spend the rest of her life alone but he is showing her that it is okay to be happy and move on. She deserves to feel loved again.

‘I know you can lose someone and still move forward. And moving forward, loving, is more of an honor to their memory than me hiding in the garage.’

Maggie never imagined feeling like this with another man but she is falling for Dallas and it all just feels so right. They are living in a lovely comfortable bubble when an unexpected visitor brings news that could change everything. Maggie feels completely overwhelmed and now the future she imagined seems to be slipping away from her.

'Life brought joy and pain. The joy of love was worth the pain. It had to be.’

It’s been a while between innings with this series but the characters are so familiar to me that it is easy to slip back into town as if it was just yesterday. This story packs an emotional punch to the heart and had me turning the pages late into the night. It was also really awesome to enjoy cameos from the rest of the Walker/McKinney family!

Claudia Connor classic! I absolutely love the way she writes small towns, big family, and finding love in unexpected places, and Waiting on Forever delivers all and SO MUCH MORE!

Dallas and Maggie offer the best in push/pull romance. I couldn't wait to turn the page to find out what happens next. His confident swagger and her blunt resistance makes for the perfect banter playing field.

Oh, and the twist in this book... yeah. Prepare yourself. You won't see this one coming.

You'll want to add this book to your preorders so it hits your ereaders at midnight. And make no plans for the next day because you won't sleep until you've turned the last page.

Dallas Walker has moved to Virginia to be closer to his siblings after retiring from the police force and taking a job as a high school teacher. He still has nightmares from his days as a cop. He’s been staying at his sister’s farm but wants his own space and in his hunt for a house he stumbles upon a beautiful, albeit prickly woman. A woman that becomes his neighbor, and they end up running into each other as Dallas fixes up the house and property. He’s intrigued and attracted. Maggie gives off that “stay-away” vibe that only draws him in more.

Maggie had a tragic loss seven years ago, picked up her life and moved from Arizona to Virginia. She’s not looking for friends or romance, her chickens, dog, garden, and pottery keep her more than busy, but now that Dallas has moved next door her ordered world is suddenly thrown off. Maggie feels things she never thought she could feel again, and she slowly, reluctantly starts to let Dallas close.

Waiting on Forever
is the fourth installment in the Walker/McKinney Brothers series, but it would work as a standalone. However, you’d miss Dallas’ history and backstory which is important. Dallas and his siblings lost their parents at a young age. Dallas being just fifteen and they were left with their little sister Hannah, only two at the time, to take care of. The oldest brother, Nick, was just old enough to take on custody so they wouldn’t be separated. The loss and circumstances affected each differently. I adored Dallas, who despite some pretty grim events in his life was positive and oh-so-sweet! He was also persistent, playful, and sexy! Just what Maggie needed to crack open her hard shell.

I’ve been a fan of the McKinney Brothers series and then the McKinney/Walker branch-out since the first book and was happy to get the last brother’s romance! Love Claudia Connor’s writing! She captures raw emotions of grief realistically but manages to keep it from getting too heavy with sprinkles of humor and heavy doses of romance. She can set a love scene that’ll give you tingles and have you rooting for a HEA! I loved catching up with the big, boisterous McKinney/Walker clan, the previous couples with funny kid shenanigans and plenty of cute animals! Maggie has chickens, their antics made me laugh, and boy did it make me want to get a few! If you haven’t read Claudia Connor, I recommend going to the beginning with Worth the Fall.

Dallas Walker has returned home in need of the love and support of his family. He's ready to move on from the horrors he witnessed and was forced to participate in as an undercover agent in a sex trafficking ring. He has nightmares fill with the innocent faces of young girls forced into prostitution - the ones he believes he failed. Dallas knows the love and care of his family is the answer . . . and he's beginning to realize his attraction and desire for his reclusive neighbor might be just what the doctored ordered. If only she would stop giving him the cold shoulder and share what she's running from with him.

Maggie Ellis wants nothing more than to be alone, to bury herself and her grief in her work and her backyard collection of plants, flowers and ... oh yes, chickens. These are things she can depend on, things that will never leave her drowning in grief and loss like an event in her past did. Maggie has figured out that while she may be lonely, there's safety in solitude. If only her new sinfully sexy neighbor Dallas would stop knocking on her door. There's no way she's getting involved with him . . . is she? No, it's just not the safe thing to do.

Waiting On Forever is another Connor classic romance. She has such a gift for writing small town romance featuring two characters who fight fate every step of the way. I adored these characters and loved getting to visit with some of the other Walker families while getting to know some new folks. The push/pull sizzling chemistry is ever present as is the delightful banter. Watching these two characters interact and slowly tear down walls is beautiful although sometimes a bit heart breaking. Both are haunted by their past, and both have to learn to let go in order to move on.

Waiting On Forever is another fantastic addition to this outstanding series. I can't wait for the next one and highly recommend this one to fans of sweet, low-angst romance. That's not to say there's no angst because of course there is. But it's refreshing to read a romance where it's a pretty sure thing they'll be a happy ever after. Grab this one romance fans!
A special thank you to Author Claudia Connor for an arc of this book. Also thanks to Social Butterfly PR for including me in the release celebration.

Waiting on Forever is the fourth and last book in the Walker Brothers, I'm a little sad to say goodbye to this big, strong, sweet and chaotic family, but I'm sure that Claudia Connor will keep writing extraordinary good stories in the future.

This is Dallas and Maggie's story. Dallas Walker is an ex cop now teacher, he came back to live on his sister's property after his last undercover job, but soon enough he realizes he needs his own place. That's how he meets Maggie, his new neighbour. She makes and sells pottery, she works at home and she isn't interested to know her charming neighbour. Will Dallas crack Maggie's defenses becoming friends?

We finally got Dallas' story, the elusive brother, devoted to his job. The waiting was so worth it because he is a very kind and beautiful man.

Dallas and Maggie's past stories are both upsetting and emotional, I've cried a great deal for them.
They face their grief and remorse in different ways, Maggie decided to withdraw from the world, she is pretty closed off and she likes her new isolated life, while Dallas likes to be with his family, he is eager to make up for lost time.
It was a pleasure to see their relationship organically grow, from friendship to somethins more.
I liked how Dallas tries to gain Maggie trust little by little without being too pushy, their bantering is funny and their attraction is deep.

This novel is such a wonderful way to end the series, I'm glad that everyone got their happily ever after. I recommend to read it!

I was very lucky to get an early copy of Waiting on Forever by Claudia Connor. I've been enjoying the Walker Brothers series. I'm kinda sad that it's at its end. For those of you who have already been reading this series, you'll be so happy with this final installment of the Walker Brothers.

Waiting on Forever is about Dallas Walker and Maggie Ellis. These two don't seem like they would work together but once you really get into the story you see how much these two need each other.

Maggie is such a sad woman. She has locked herself away from anyone she cared about and doesn't make any effort to really be close to anyone in her new hometown. For years she's just a shell of a person. When you learn about why she is the way she is you understand and it breaks your heart over and over again as she thinks about it.

Dallas's past isn't much better. His work has left him feeling unsteady and angry. He's a good man that's worked very hard to keep others safe. He's a great guy and has some very funny moments with his female relatives.

I really enjoyed the interactions between Dallas, Maggie, and family members. There are a few ups and downs that will shock you a little bit but I liked how they worked it out together. As a whole, this is a wonderful heartwarming story that will keep you reading till the very end.

We might be saying goodbye to the Walker family but I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.

The fourth and final book in the McKinney/Walker Brothers series, this is an emotional story with a beautiful romance between a man desperate for a fresh start, and a grieving woman who has forgotten how to truly live.

Dallas Walker is back in town after working a brutal undercover case that saw him leave the Police force and left him emotionally tormented and desperate for change. He has returned to the loving comfort of his family, and is setting down roots near the people he loves the most. He’s just bought himself a house, and he’s become somewhat infatuated with his new neighbour.

After experiencing a devastating loss, Maggie uprooted her life and moved to a remote small town where she lives a life of isolation, only interacting with others when it’s completely necessary, and drowning in her grief and sadness.

“I’ve been caught between not dying and not really living.”

Dallas is immediately smitten by Maggie, but it’s clear she wants nothing to do with him, or anybody else. She is dismissive and guarded, but there’s something about her new neighbour – his determined friendliness, the hint of turmoil in his eyes, and his own obvious loneliness – that get to her, and she tentatively begins to let him in.

Over backyard fence chats, outdoor work and shared dinners, they grow close. They slowly start to open up to each other, and they naturally, easily and sweetly fall for each other. They’re so good together, their relationship full of laughter, sweet moments, romance and passion, and they help each other heal from the past and truly start to move on.

But there are some unexpected twists and turns that come their way, and they will need to confront the past once and for all, and let it all go, in order to have the happy ending that they both so desperately want.

Life brought joy and pain. The joy of love was worth the pain.

I really enjoyed this book. Dallas and Maggie are wonderful characters, their story is beautifully heartfelt, and I loved the direction that their story took. It wasn’t what I was expecting, but it was perfect for the story, and for them, and it made their HEA even better.

The rest of the Walker crew is a big part of the story as Dallas revels in being back with his brothers, sister and their families, and Maggie is welcomed with open arms. I loved the scenes with them all together, and seeing the couples from the previous books all living out their own happy endings.

This is a really sweet read, I loved it.

4 stars.

It is finally Dallas Walker's turn. He has been an enigma in the other books but now the former undercover cop is home and starting over a new life in his hometown. He still has his demons and is haunted by his past and is getting used to being around family and people again.

Maggie Ellis is his new neighbor. She is a loner, quirky, quiet, and antisocial. But that tough facade is self-protection hides her pain and loss.

He takes it as a challenge to get a rise out of her and cannot seem to stop pushing her to talk and become friends. And she begrudgingly begins to enjoy his company. And an attraction is brewing.

But Maggie is terrified of being close to anyone and facing more loss. And Dallas is not really sure how to have a healthy relationship either. This is about two lonely people learning to live in the now, move forward from painful pasts, open their hearts, and deal with challenges along the way.

Dallas is just dreamy, patient, kind, witty, honest, and trying to take things on as they come. Maggie might be guarded but under that hard shell is a soft, loving heart, a tenacious spirit, and so much love to give if she can get past her fears. It is truly a heartfelt story of past pain, loss, healing, and figuring out how to live in the moment until the future becomes clearer.

This brings back all the Walker siblings and their significant others. It was easy to sink right back into this world even though it has been a while since the last book. I love this series and these families and I enjoyed spending time with them again.

It seems like I’ve been waiting forever on this book! 😉

But it was definitely worth the wait. No other author consistently gives me all the feels whenever I read her books. And Waiting on Forever gave me BIG BIG feels.

After experiencing a heartbreaking loss, Maggie Ellis moved away from her family to start a new life where she’s able to keep to herself and keep others at arm's length. Until she gets a new next door neighbor…

After working undercover fighting human trafficking, Dallas Walker has moved to be near the family he was forced to stay away from for years. Now all he wants is to connect - to his family, and to the beautiful woman next door who is throwing off major stay away vibes. But Dallas is persistent and not afraid to play the long game to win Maggie’s heart.

Claudia Connor’s stories are swoony, heart melting, romance perfection. Her storytelling always draws me in and doesn’t let go until the final word. Her heroes are the best - always kind and thoughtful, and willing to put in the hard work to earn the love of the heroine. Her heroines are always strong and resilient, even if they are a little bruised on the inside. There’s never any ridiculous drama or conflict - my favorite love stories are of couples who meet, fall in love organically, then work through real life issues to have their happily ever after. And that’s what this author gives us every single time.

I can’t help but feel a bit of sadness with the ending of this series - I’ve loved all four of the Walker Brother books. But I’m also really excited for whatever Claudia Connor has next!

Dallas is the elusive Walker brother. Being a cop, he's been away deep undercover during the previous books in the series. Waiting on Forever has him back with his family, now a teacher. He buys the house next to Maggie, a loner, seen around town, but one who keeps to herself. Maggie has those walls built up, and she's not ready to have them broken down, until Dallas walks into her life.
This book makes you believe that you can come back from past traumas. Dallas and Maggie learn to move on together with their new normal, heal from their pasts and look forward to their future.
Read a Claudia Connor book and tell me if it doesn't hit you right in the feels and make your eyes well up with tears.
As soon as I received the ARC of Waiting On Forever, I went back and read the whole Walker series again - that was a week of reading well spent. I loved going back to the Walker Brothers world.

Thank you to the author and Social Butterfly PR for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

When Dallas moves next door to Maggie, he does everything possible to bring his neighbour out of her shell and as days go their friendship becomes much more.
But when someone Dallas once helped leaves him to take care of someone, there is only one question, will Maggie overcome everything she once went through and be by Dallas's side, or will she run?

WAITING ON FOREVER is the fourth instalment in Claudia Connor’s contemporary, adult MCKINNEY/WALKER BROTHERS cross over romance series. This is former police detective now high school teacher Dallas Walker, and pottery maker Maggie Ellis’ story line. WAITING ON FOREVER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines / series is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Dallas and Maggie) WAITING ON FOREVER follows the building romance and relationship between new neighbors former police detective now high school teacher Dallas Walker, and pottery maker Maggie Ellis. Seven years earlier Maggie Ellis lost everyone she loved, and has intentionally isolated herself from everyone else. Fast forward to present day wherein Maggie will meet her new neighbor, Dallas Walker, a man who was often facing struggles of his own but a man who stirred something deep within our story line heroine. As the relationship between Dallas and Maggie begins to unfold, a name from the past throws Dallas’ life into a spiral, a spiral of which Maggie wants nothing to do. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Maggie and Dallas, and the potential fall-out as the past catches up with our story line hero, and Maggie continues to struggle with her ghosts that refuse to let go.

Maggie Ellis sells chicken eggs, and makes pottery, and prefers to keep to herself in light of the Walker/McKinney family determination bring her out. Maggie keeps secret the details of her devastating past, a past that continues to control our story line heroine. Dallas Walker has lived and experienced the dark side of law enforcement, and changing careers is probably the best thing he could do but meeting Maggie Ellis pushes Dallas into wanting something more, something Maggie reveals she cannot and will not be able to give.

The relationship between Dallas and Maggie is a neighbors to friends to lovers that struggles in the face of demons from the past. Maggie is unable to face or acknowledge what happened and why, further pushing away our story line hero. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters-all of whom are past of Dallas’ large extended family: Nick and Mia: Nora and Zach; Hannah and Stephen, Ava and Luke. We are introduced to Gatlin Walker.

WAITING ON FOREVER is another story of family, friendships and relationships, denial and acceptance, revelations and love. The premise is emotional and captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are struggling but healing, and hoping to move on.

Dallas has returned home after years on special missions, living undercover and unable to participate in family events. As he tries to settle into life with his siblings nearby, he still feels like there is a distance between them, partly because they have all moved on with spouses and children in the years he was away. He knows he needs to find his own place and space if he is going to settle in.

Maggie moved to get away from the pressures she felt from her family after tragedy struck. She is self-sufficient, but also stuck by the memories of her past. Even though she owns her home and has business contacts in town, she has kept herself distanced from anyone, avoiding friendships or attachments.

When Dallas moves in next door to Maggie (and behind Hannah’s property), he takes her mysteriousness as a challenge to get to know her however she’ll let him. They build a fantastic friendship as she begins to open up and put her walls down. Though Dallas wants more with her, he is patient and understanding as they move slowly.

I absolutely loved Dallas. He was always a bit of a mystery in previous books, as he was incommunicado, but I loved watching as he settled back into life with his siblings nearby. He is protective, steady, patient, but a little intense. He is hit with a bit of a surprise part way through this book, and I loved the way he faced the challenge and asked for help when he was out of his comfort zone.

Maggie took me a little more to fall in love with, though I was sympathetic to her reasons for keeping everyone at arms length. She is a caretaker at heart, and even when she lives alone she is always on the lookout for those she feels need it.

I loved returning to the McKinney/Walker world. This extended family is such a warm set of characters. Even though some time has passed since the last book came out, I never felt like I couldn’t remember important details. In fact, it was almost the opposite -- I quickly recalled the pieces of characters I needed most but also didn’t need extensive background on any to enjoy this book.

Waiting on Forever (Walker Brothers 4)
By: Claudia Conner

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Can haunted find forever love?

Wow, what an absolute beautifully written tragic love story. I was already a huge fan of the authors Walker/McKinney book, this book however was the perfect addition to the Walker brothers series. I just wanted to reach in an hug both Dallas and Maggie. Both looking for answers to old questions of Why. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Dallas Walker is haunted. He won’t ever forget the horrors he witnessed while working undercover to bust a human trafficking ring, but he has a plan to start a new life. Coming home to his family is step one. Getting to know his alluring new neighbor could be step two. If only she’d give him a chance…

Maggie Ellis just wants to be left alone. She’d rather spend her days spinning clay into art and feel nothing than open herself up to another devastating loss. But her sexy new neighbor with a lonely look in his eyes isn’t giving up. And he makes her question everything…
Together, Dallas and Maggie might have a shot at happily ever after. But only if they can let go of the past and hold on to each other when it matters most.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

I’m a huge fan of Claudia Connor’s McKinney/Walker families. This new addition did not disappoint. This story was full of heartbreak with cuteness weaved in to keep my emotions together.

Maggie and Dallas bring the push/pull banter you find in some of the best grumpy-sunshine stories, with a twist, Dallas is not the broody one. After experiencing the worst type of heartbreak, Maggie leaves everything behind. For four years, she has lived a quiet and reclusive life making pottery, gardening, and caring for her chickens. Dallas has returned to town and taken a teaching job while dealing with the nightmares he faced as an undercover police officer working human trafficking cases. From the moment he sees Maggie, there is something about her that makes him want to know her more. He soon learns that she is his new neighbor, for Maggie the neighbor that won’t go away.

This is a beautiful story about finding love when you aren’t looking for it. Both characters are haunted by their past, but learn how to heal. When an unexpected twist their relationship and everything they thought they wanted is put to the test. Maggie has a bit of some sass with a kind heart underneath her tough exterior. Dallas was kind, witty, patient, and caring. The story had a way of pulling me. I love the interactions between all the characters, both Maggie and Dallas and his family. I loved the scenes with Dallas and his students, and let's not forget the chickens.

Full of great banter, loss, grief, family, and surprises. This book made me feel a range of emotions. This is another beautiful standalone in the Walker family series.

Claudia Connor is a new to me author, and after experiencing Waiting on Forever, I'm HOOKED! Poor Dallas, he's been through hell with his last undercover operation while working to bust a human trafficking ring so now, he needs to go home to try to heal. Maggie has gone through her own emotional hell, and now she just wants to be left alone immersed in her pottery, but little did she know that Dallas may just be what the doctor ordered. He ends up moving next door to her, and wants to get to know her but she's not making it easy that's for sure. This story seriously did my heart in with all the pain these two have in their pasts, so I wanted to jump through my kindle to hug them both so will they be able to leave their past in the past for a new future?! The push & pull between them hurt so good despite any frustration I may have had (I'm an impatient girl), and there's even a twist that came from left field that I never saw coming. So now I'm off to read the previous books in this series and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I fell in love with this author’s writing when I read Worth the Fall and continue to be impressed with her storytelling abilities.
This latest addition to the Walker Brothers is at times heartbreaking but also heartwarming and touching.
Dallas Walker has left the police force after spending time first as a beat cop, then a detective and lastly doing undercover work. Work that had him losing parts of himself each day, and almost got him killed. Now back home close to his siblings, he’s ready to embrace life and his family.
Maggie Ellis moved to Virginia after a devastating loss. She keeps to herself, doesn’t socialize and has yet to recover from her broken heart.
When Dallas becomes her neighbor, neither expected the bond between them. But the past stands in the way even when things start moving forward.
Will they ever get their HEA, or will that same past keep them apart?
I will miss the Walkers and hope that in the future, the author brings them together for another story. Maybe add the McKinney clan (from the previous series) into the mix.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my o.

This one started out slow, but it kinda had to. We needed to get to know Dallas and Maggie, to see their issues and for them to build something together. I loved that time, both healing, both taking things 1 day at a time and sharing past hurts. Things looked really good for them to have a strong future until a huge curve ball came their way. I didn't fault Maggie for running, I didn't fault Dallas for who he picked in that initial moment. But as Dallas struggled, I liked that Maggie saw that and that she started to feel more.

I loved how this one ended, loved the truths that got told, the spit handshake and how Dallas and Maggie have a bright future ahead filled with lots of chaos.

I was so excited for Dallas’ story, and he didn’t disappoint. I really liked that he was never pushy or impatient with Maggie. Also loved that Maggie was willing to face her demons when she realized how she felt about Dallas. As always, the Walker/McKinney family is amazing. I love how supportive they are of each other, and I really enjoyed how much the addition of Gatlin brought to the story. *I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The man of mystery finally gets his story; Dallas is the brother we have heard about but not much more than he is undercover. Lots of feels with this story; your heart will get a workout. Dallas and Maggie have scars, working past many hurts to spend the future together. It is the slow progression of friends to more that I enjoyed about their story. Expect Walker family antics.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

OMG this series is one of my favs. It is known for tugging on my hearts strings. This story was highly anticipated and is a nice addition. Dallas and Maggie took me on an emotional journey. No surprise.

They each suffered loss and heartbreak in different ways. Maggie’s backstory had me sobbing. Dallas trying to create a new life is impressive and when a surprise is handed to him, he steps up in a beautiful and amazing way.

These two take a bit to figure things out. Grrr frustrating but understandable.
I loved this story but I don’t think it is my favorite. It that important overall. Probably not. Hee hee. I still think it has an important place in this series. Wink.

All I can say is Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO

Waiting on Forever is a thoughtful, sweet and emotional at times story about love, family and second chances. Dallas had been an undercover police officer, and his work is something that troubles him still. Now, he works as a high school teacher and spends time with his siblings and their families.

Maggie raises chickens and creates pottery. Life hasn't been kind to her, but she is doing the best she can. Her heart is broken and she has closed herself off from others. Dallas is Maggie's new neighbor and his persistence to be her friend may be just what she needs to start opening up again.

I loved everything about this story. There was so much of this story that was focused on family and I appreciated that. Dallas was so close to his siblings and family was really important to them. My heart went out to Maggie for all she had been through, and I loved how much Dallas just wanted to know her and how well they connected over time. I really appreciated the growth of their relationship throughout the book. Dallas had a heart of gold which truly came out in so many ways, but especially throughout the twists in this story. I would highly recommend this story and I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future.

recensione "a cura del blog Libri magnetici" by Meghan

Cinque petali.

Dallas Walker has returned home after retiring from his job in law enforcement. After grueling years working undercover, he's had enough and the scars left on his soul from the job weigh heavy on him. He is glad to be back home with his siblings, but he's still a bit of a loner. While house hunting, he meets Maggie, a reclusive woman around his age. He's intrigued and determined to get to know her better, even though she's not open to the idea.

Abby has scars too. The kind of scars the Walkers are familiar with. Dallas is incredibly sensitive to Maggie as he melts her coolness toward him. It's a beautiful love story as Maggie and Dallas find common ground with the demons that keep them up at night. In spite of the devastating circumstances, there's also hope here, and that's why I love this series so very much. Of all the Walker Brothers stories, I think this one tugged on my heart the most.

Maggie is a bit prickly at first, but Dallas melts her ice -- eventually. Her pain is so deep it's going to take a strong, sensitive man like Dallas to break through and show her she's not alone. She carries a heavy heart and it's only when after she connects with Dallas that she sees there can be a future for her.

I really did love everything about Maggie and Dallas's love story. Their feelings develop gradually for each other and there's plenty of heat between them as their relationship grows. And then there's some very serious drama toward the end that threatens everything Dallas and Maggie have together. I really didn't see this one coming at me and I liked that!

There's great banter between the brothers, which I loved. It's always a treat when an author brings previous characters together in a book, and very satisfying to see the progression of their lives in this family oriented series. There are some relatable family moments here.

One of the hallmarks of a great series is wanting to go back an re-read from the beginning whenever there is a new release. That's exactly how I felt after reading Waiting on Forever. I definitely recommend this series for romance readers. There's always the right amount of everything in these stories, and the writing just carries me right into the story and I didn't want to put it down.

Waiting on Forever is a terrific feel-good romance. Surprising in spots and downright heartwarming in others, I couldn't put this down until the end and it left me wanting to do a re-read of the series. I can't think of higher praise. I loved the swoony and patient Dallas, and my heart went out to Maggie. Their HEA was a lovely way to end this series.

Thrilled that we finally have gotten Dallas Walker's book, I truly enjoyed this end of a very memorable series. Claudia Connor writes with a subtle rhythm, allowing the reader to experience the unexpected love story between Dallas and his new neighbor Maggie Ellie at a comfortable pace. Both characters have suffered pain and loss in their former lives yet find in each other a soothing force they've both craved for far too long.

I loved that Dallas was not discouraged at how Maggie reacted to his wanting a friendship with the mysterious artist. That he used kindness and patience and most importantly, assumed frustration at how to tackle his overgrown yard. Watching as the hardened layers of her heart and soul started to melt away, every so slowly, was definitely heartwarming for both Dallas and this reader. And the way Maggie was secretly thrilled in her own way to help out her sexy neighbor did not go unnoticed.

My heart felt for both of these wonderful people. How they took nightmares and daily painful reminders and decided to move forward away from the torture of the past. Particularly for Maggie, her losses are immeasurable, yet with time she not only embraced Dallas and the boisterous family that we've all come to know and love but both wanted and needed them in her life.

With the huge surprise awaiting Dallas just as he and Maggie were headed for oh so much more, this turn of events could have put a huge wrench in their burgeoning romance. But, instead, Connor uses it beautifully to bring our couple closer together. In fact, the last 25% or so is absolutely charming and full of true emotions and pure love. And again, not only from Maggie and Dallas but from the ever-expanding Walker and McKinney brood. This entire crew of characters is always available for some good-natured brotherly ribbing and for the all-important hug paired with moving words of wisdom, just when it is needed most.

Waiting on Forever is a great way to complete the Walker saga and I can only hope we get more of the McKinneys since they are just as endearing and addictive. This book is an easygoing read with a bit of steam together with a whole lot of tempting looks and sweet touches. Dallas and Maggie make a perfect couple and I was very happy everything turned out the way it should for both of these survivors. And I can only hope an update about them and the rest of the family will be forthcoming in the very near future.

4 huge stars!
