The Beacon Street Girls books are inspired by all the preteen girls I've ever known. I wanted to create a world where girls can go to have fun and learn about who they are, while modeling real-life experiences. The first book, Worst Enemies/Best Friends, explores creating and testing friendships, skewed first impressions, and being the new kid at school. In the end, true friendship conquers all. Welcome to the world of the BSG!

Love this book like all the others. Just a little disappointed that two of the scavenger hunt groups didn't follow the rules though. The movie one is a little reasonable, I guess, because not many people would pass that up. But Chelsea's group that passed up the scavenger hunt for the beach? That is low, man. They had no reason to stray off the scavenger hunt that Charlotte, Nick, and Chelsea worked so hard on. That's really ungrateful.

Charlotte, Nick and Chelsea planned a overnight scavenger hunt at Cape Cod, and all the Beacon Street Girls are going. They were put on three teams and whichever team got the most points at the end won the prize. All the girls planned to work hard to try to win but there are many distractions such as a volleyball game on a beautiful beach, surfing, and a chance to be in a real movie.

I picked this book up because I hadn't read it in a while and had forgotten what it was about.

The way each group's lies unraveled was entertaining and the reappearance of the famous actors were amazing to read!

The Great Scavenger Hunt

Characters
Charlotte Ramsey: the self- inspired klutz. Charlotte is too familiar with being the new kid.
Nick Montoya: while working at his parents bakery he always has time to greet Charlotte.
Chelsea Briggs: shy and a tiny bit over-weight. Chelsea is afraid to show her confidence. Although she is great at taking pictures.
The Outdoor Adventure club has planned a scavenger hunt at Cape Cod! Everybody is very excited, but there is another surprise it is an overnight trip. Three teams two days one prize.
But when things start to go wrong, it seems that this trip was a total waste. Can everybody work together and make this trip worth it? Or will all the hard work go down the drain?

The Beacon Street Girls: The Great Scavenger Hunt is a great book, filled with adventures and problems that youths can relate to (e.g. social problems). This book is wonderful for girls in sixth to seventh grade, though it rather lacks in seventh grade and sixth grade level vocabulary. A great part about this book is that there are SOME vocabulary in the book, and at the end, there is a dictionary that defines all these words, along with a little quiz that tests on how well you comprehended and understood the book. I love this series, and it also has many great morals within just one book!

I want to go on a scavenger hunt one day. i think it might be exciting, but not as exciting as this scavenger hunt. Wouldn't it be awesome to have a splash in the water, star in a movie or win Ice Cream Sandwiches. Maybe, when I go to high school, I might suggest a scavenger hunt somewhere close. But, this book was really interesting and everybody in the book learned a lesson.

What a great book!Annie Bryant perfectly weaves the thoughts of five girls... and their classmates on an exciting scavenger hunt. (spoiler alert) Okay, Maybe two of the groups weren't exactly scavenger hunting, but hey! They all had a great adventure, and that's what really counts!

BSG is a great series for young MG girl. The plots are wonderful and exciting, and you get genuinely attached to the characters. My favorite character is Charlotte, with Nick as a close second.
