Rate this book
The gold is out there, but at what price?

The Sutter's Mill gold discovery kicked off the rush to the American West, as a flood of people descended on California and the promise of a new land.

The danger of the Oregon and California Trails was only a start. Gold thieves, outlaws, dock gangs, vigilantes, and a little romance and intrigue await the main character, Will, when he reaches the end of that trail.

Will he have what it takes?

The author has penned a story of danger, mystery, romance with lots of history. This is an outstanding story of the early days of the Sutter Mill's gold discovery and features lots of bad guys, as well as good guys. If you like stories of the early days of the settling of California, you will really enjoy this story. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Very good book

It had a great story and it didn’t have or need a lot of bad language. I will definitely read more from this author.
