Mafiosa Princess- Trust is the fourth book in the hot new romance series. The Mafiosa Princess series is intended for mature audiences only and the books will be best enjoyed if read in Mafiosa Princess, Mafiosa Princess- Sacrifice, Mafiosa Princess- Honor, then Mafiosa Princess- Trust.
Liza Malloy writes contemporary romance, new adult romance, women's fiction, and fantasy romance. She’s a sucker for bad boys, dimples, and muscles, and she can’t resist a man in uniform. Liza loves creating worlds where the heroine discovers her own strength and finds her Happily Ever After. When Liza isn’t reading or writing torrid love stories, she’s a practicing attorney. Her other passions include gummy bears, jelly beans, and the occasional marathon. She lives in the Midwest with her four daughters and her own Prince Charming. Mafiosa Princess—Trust was a wonderful continuation of the Mafiosa Princess series by Liza Malloy, and I can’t wait to read more since, once again, there was a cliffhanger as the story ended abruptly.
I was immersed in the families, their businesses, the locations in Italy and Connecticut, and all things Italiano. The story has a good flow, is fast-paced, and brings in characters we’ve met before. How Giada’s ex-boyfriend, Adrian, is still alive, I’ll never know!
Giada and Luca have a tumultuous relationship; they fight one minute and love the next. They do bring the best out in each other, but it’s often at a cost. There’s always heat when they’re together—sometimes it’s anger, and other times romance and love. There are many secrets, and even though Giada is the daughter and sister of the heads of one of the crime families, she wants something different for her and Luca. But is that even possible since he’s being groomed to take over his family business? There were many references to the Mafia, crimes, hits, and how the families worked and lived. There are also spies everywhere.
There are lovely descriptions throughout of the people and places that made me feel like I was there! The characters have a depth, and we only seem to scratch the surface. There are happy and sad occasions to celebrate, and family is always around—whether related by blood or not. The church and a couple of priests also play an essential role in telling the tale. There is some closure, though I wish the book went on a little longer. A Family Tree that helped connect some of the dots is included at the back of the book.
If you like stories with heat, steam, and family ties to traditions and their livelihood, Mafiosa Princess—Trust might be a book you would enjoy.
Trust is the fourth book in the Mafiosa Princess series, and I must say, each book is better than the last one. There is no series “burnout” here. The author keeps upping the stakes with each new release.
The book is also aptly named because the plot centres around trust. Who to trust? Who is lying? Who knows the truth?
First, Giada has come a long way from the first novel. There is confidence to her that she calls on many times. Yet, trust does play a big part in this novel, because she lacks trust in Luca. It’s there each time she jumps to conclusions and she ends up fighting with him. I do believe this comes from his lifestyle. And that is going to be the one thing that will either make or break them, because the duo has fought hard to be together.
As for Luca, we get to see how much he loves Gia, but also what being in the Family does to him. I enjoyed the look deep into the mafia where the author takes us for this time. We see him not bat an eye when anyone else’s conscience would be tested.
I was so excite to learn there was a book four - the first three were wonderful. Giada and Luca haven't found their happily ever after quite yet, and what Giada wants is at odds with what's expected of her. Giada has grown quite a bit - she's fully aware of what her family business really is, and is more sure of what she wants, and much less immature. Looking back, her transformation has been wonderful to watch. The tension and occasional fights between Giada and Luca make their relationship feel more real. Adrian hasn't given up on trying to win Giada and pull her away from Luca, even though her heart clearly belongs to Luca. I highly recommend starting with book one, but this was an excellent new installment in the series!
In the fourth installment of the Mafiosa Princess series, we are brought right back to Giada and Luca’s rollercoaster of a relationship. We left off with Luca heading to Italy, leaving Giada behind. But, she will stop at nothing to have him. Even if that means facing Salvatore Marino. One of the biggest mob bosses, not to mention, Luca’s father. Luca has spent the entirety of his life trying to protect Giada from harm, but with betrayal at the forefront, Luca finds it harder to keep her safe. Meanwhile, Adrian goes out of his way to prove to Giada that Luca is not the man she thinks he is once and for all. With everyone hiding their own secrets, the risk grows even greater - proving that you never go against family.
Firstly, I want to thank Liza for always thinking of me every time the next book in this series is about to come out. Not only did she send me an eARC, but she sent me a physical copy to add to my collection. Thank you!!! I love this series so much. Giada drove me crazy in this book. She is such a stubborn woman, headstrong, doesn’t like being told what to do (reminds me a lot of myself actually…) and refused to listen to anyone! We also find Luca truly showing his love for Giada, which I loved!
Can't wait for the next installment of this addicting series. Characters are easy to fall in love with and there is always a new plot twist! Plus many hot romantic scenes that leave you wanting more!
