J.D. Blackrose loves all things storytelling and celebrates great writing by posting about it on her website, www.slipperywords.com. She has published The Soul Wars series and the Monster Hunter Mom series, both through Falstaff Books, as well as numerous short stories.

When not writing, Blackrose lives with three children, an orange cat, her husband and a full-time job in Corporate Communications. She’s fearful that so-called normal people will discover exactly how often she thinks about wicked fairies, nasty wizards, homicidal elevators, treacherous forests, and the odd murder, even when she is supposed to be having coffee with a friend. As a survival tactic, she has mastered the art of looking interested. She credits her parents for teaching her how to ask questions, and in lieu of facts, how to make up answers.

The zombie cosmetologist and his ragtag crew are back, diving headfirst into the kind of absurd chaos that only seems to follow them. This time, their latest adventure hinges on appeasing their resident ghost, who has a rather unique wish. Now that she has some freedom to roam, what does she long to do? Pay a visit to her dear old friend George Washington—at none other than the most magical and happiest place on Earth: Disney World. It’s the kind of premise that perfectly blends bizarre humor with the offbeat charm this series is known for.

Naturally, their Florida getaway doesn’t stay lighthearted for long. Between theme park shenanigans and laugh-out-loud antics, the crew quickly finds themselves facing a far more sinister problem: murder. With another death, and danger looming around every corner, the team must untangle the mystery of who’s truly behind it all—and who might be coming for them next. Equal parts ridiculous, witty, and thrilling, this installment proves once again that life (and unlife) with this gang is never boring.

Pose and Cons is the fourth book of the Zombie Cosmetologist novella series, which means the full set is also available as a complete collection: A Wrinkle and Crime: Zombie Cosmetologist Season One.

Waylon goes to Disney. Flamingos do NOT like zombies. Starlets fight in bikinis by the hotel pool. Mouse ears are bought (but not sewn on). Tigger costume. And it is all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

Humor, zombies, murder mystery.
